“I don’t know where to start with Dillon and Electric Sugar…. They were incredible. Plain and simple. I worked with Dillon leading up to wedding weekend and he was kind, prompt, professional, and fun. We worked together to create a set list that was perfect for our taste in music. Dillon also played guitar at our ceremony and it was beautiful. He did a combo of guitar and prerecorded music per our request and it was perfect. He brought all the equipment needed for our officiant to have a microphone as well. The Electric Sugar band as a whole played for our reception. We had them for 3 hours and the dance floor was packed for 3 hours. They were so much fun and SO talented!!! It was the best party and they were a huge reason behind it! I would recommend them to anyone for their wedding or any other occasion they are looking to add spice and energy too. If we ever host another event where music is needed I would book them in a heartbeat”

However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding, front he very first conversation to the last song of the night, Ken, was an absolute professional to work with. He took a significant amount of time to understand what we wanted out of our day, our music tastes, the energy we wanted, and the intricacies of our wedding. He delivered beyond our expectations. The dance floor was packed from the moment the music started and continued throughout the evening to the very last song. He was able to incorporate music that he never heard before (my wife is Bosnian, important to have a good mix of Bosnian and American hits) and seamlessly blend it throughout the entire event so that everyone felt included. “Bill and John did a wonderful job for mine and my Husbands special day. From the very first phone call, Bill was very informative and reassuring that they would get the job done to fit our vision. They even came to the rehearsal (small extra cost) to make sure all music cues were exactly how I wanted them which was great as many DJs had told me “no.” It really helped ease my nerves knowing things were well executed and ran through the day before. Throughout the planning process, Bill was very responsive to any questions I had via email or extra phone calls. I did have a change I added in last minute so our dog could be apart of reception announcements and they didn’t even flinch at the last minute change of plans. They nailed it. “I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“Funktastic Productions Llc. was an absolute hit at our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, friendly, and super detailed - they clearly cared about making our day perfect. And that's exactly what they delivered. I chose to have live piano and violin at my ceremony and they sounded beautiful together. They played every song I requested with depth and precision- even the fairly new music (I requested Birds of a Feather for the recessional, and they NAILED it!) They provided mics to the musicians and the officiant stand, which ended up being a lifesaver for us. The DJ and violinist were both fun and talented, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. DJ Servaun in particular did an amazing job matching the vibes, emceeing, and balancing in the moment song requests with a killer playlist. Get the DJ with Musician accompaniment package!! The electric violin player lit up the dance floor & guests LOVED it! Quote: “Best wedding I’ve ever been to! I’ve never been to a wedding where ‘Not Like Us’ got a violin accompaniment”. I also used Funktastic for our photobooth service and it was one of the most popular parts of the wedding. People lined up at one point to take pics- and I was thrilled with the quality of the designs and service.
