Late last year we had been to a wedding that was dead in the dance floor, so we knew what we didn't work. DJ Sean Poe from BassBliss was the antidote to that. We didn't want a 'wedding DJ'; we wanted a partner who could manage the rhythm of our celebration so we could remain present in the moment. DJ Sean Poe understands the energy of an evening. The primary instruction was a half hour of spiritual ceremony and then turn the party on. He worked seamlessly with our venue at Jackalope Ranch and our planner for timing and placement, but his real value was in his ability to read the room's frequency. He kept the energy giving and honest, never letting the 'big drama' of the event overshadow the significance of the union. He was never a disruption and always participating. He provided the soundtrack to our transition from the instrumental music and a special chance to play a recording of Grandpa's piano all the way to the dance floor and a flawless mash up of Funky Cold Media with Ice Ice Baby. He is a professional who respects the weight of the vows as much as the joy of the dance floor, but wasn't afraid to let us have it first dance to Thank God by Kane Brown and later play JuJu on that Beat, then still walk us out to What Was I Thinking. He read the room and took it all seriously, but led us in a lot of fun along the way.”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

But really, the biggest shout-out – and the core of this whole review – belongs to the phenomenal Marlon Aldana, our DJ and drummer. We first spotted him in action on Golden Bell's Instagram, and it was an instant "that's our guy!" moment. You can imagine our excitement when we found out he was available for our date! Working with Marlon from the very beginning was just an absolute pleasure. He wasn't just playing music; he was genuinely feeling the room, intuitively knowing when to let a song build or transition to keep the energy up. All of our "must-plays" were there, the do not-play was respected, and the dance floor never once emptied And talk about flexibility! We had a last-minute idea to add an extra instrument, and the Golden Bell team didn't blink. They jumped right in, helping us find the perfect addition without any issues. Plus, we had a separate violinist for our ceremony, and it was so impressive to see how effortlessly all the vendors collaborated. No drama, just smooth, professional teamwork, which really speaks volumes about Golden Bell's commitment to making your day seamless. Now, for the ultimate highlight: our after-party! We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had! There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. “Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

He met with us multiple times to make sure every detail was mapped out, and he made collaborating so easy through shared Google Docs and Spotify playlists. He even let us pick his suit color, and we chose pink to match our garden party theme — such a fun, personal touch! During our happy hour, Brandon played acoustic guitar and took song requests, walking around and engaging with our guests the whole time. I was upstairs getting ready and could hear our guests singing along — it set the perfect tone for the whole night before we'd even started! He brought incredible energy, fun, and professionalism to every part of our event. Brandon pumped up the crowd for our first entry as husband and wife and kept everyone engaged all night long. He even brought additional uplighting to enhance our dance floor, which made everything feel even more magical. Throughout the evening, Brandon checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and to see if we wanted to add any last-minute touches. He truly was a crowd favorite, and so many of our guests commented on how much they loved him. On the day of, Dominiq's energy and enthusiasm were infectious - he really got my more reserved family members out on the dance floor, leading them in fun group dances like the Macarena. The music was perfectly timed, and he even helped make our first dance extra special by cueing the song at just the right moment. As a busy veterinarian, I really appreciated how on top of communication Dominiq was when it came to finalizing the song choices. Our wedding was almost 6 years ago, and to this day my family is still raving about how amazing the music and overall vibe was thanks to Dominiq's fantastic work. We couldn't recommend him more highly! He even captured this amazing photo of our first dance! It’s beautifully displayed in our living room. It’s the little things that he went above and beyond for us and he is truly amazing at what he does!”

Even when we had no idea what songs we wanted he asked for a vibe and executed beyond our wildest dreams. Let me just say, he knows all the right questions to figure out what you need, even when you didn’t know you needed it, and doesn’t make you feel bad when you text him at 10 pm saying you forgot to add a song. Haha. We had a little bit of everything when it comes to music (romantic ceremony, elevated jazz cocktail hour, and a wild Hispanic/English reception) and he melted it together seamlessly. Not to mention our photo booth attendant was HILARIOUS, kept it lively and helped even the drunkest of us get awesome pics. Honest, affordable and everything we were looking for. She was professional, easy to work with, and completely on top of every detail. My husband worked with her on the audio setup for our musician, song choices, microphones, and all of the logistics leading up to the day. During the ceremony, there was not one audio blip or mess-up — everything sounded perfect. The reception was SO much fun. There was not an empty moment on the dance floor, and the music made it feel like we were at a club in the best way. Everything was professional, fun, and seamless. She was also incredibly flexible. “Keith was the perfect DJ. Honestly! There is nothing that we would change about our wedding night, it was truly perfect. Keith is a class act professional who makes no compromise between quality and affordability. He values his clients and offers extraordinary service at an affordable price. I went in with high (but reasonable) expectations for our wedding night, and he definitely delivered above and beyond!! We had read other reviews of weddings that Keith had DJ’d where the clients were musicians and they had curated a specific type of music they wanted throughout the night, and he nailed it. I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile, so I listen to a wide range of music, and I can also attest to just how amazing Keith’s music selection was! Part of a DJ’s job is to get you excited to go out on the dance floor, and we were already excited before the dancing began, because we just knew Keith was going to kill it (spoiler alert: he did!). He even mixed together multiple songs at once and it was amazing! Keith kept the atmosphere alive all night and there was never a dead moment. Most of the people were up and dancing, even people who have never been willing to dance before! It takes a skilled DJ to do that. It was electric. We had had a negative experience with another DJ company that we spoke to before we decided to look to Nocturnal Cafe, but just from the first conversation with Keith we knew he was our DJ. Keith was incredibly respectful to us, he was patient and understanding throughout the whole process, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to have the best night of our lives. His process with his clients is great and made us feel very comfortable. He does a great job of avoiding the typical eye-roll cheesy songs (unless you request it, of course) and he picks songs that suit well for what you’re looking for. We gave him some songs/artists/genres we would like to hear (and some to songs to avoid) but we ultimately wanted to just give him an idea of what we were thinking and for him to use it as a guide more than a ‘must’. We gave him creative freedom to just let him work his magic and boy, was it magic that came out of those speakers!”
