Our historic barn and farmhouse originally built in 1850, is a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. We preserved the barn’s character by using reclaimed wood from the second floor to create a charming front porch for the barn and a rustic chapel with bell. You may choose your own caterer or we can gladly recommend some. We also offer a large decor rental package and a photo booth at an additional cost. The Centennial Barn is a beautiful venue for weddings up to 150, set on over 113 sprawling acres. Included in the property rental is a gorgeous hip roof barn with a rich wood interior, soaring ceilings, sound system, large bar, chairs, and farmhouse style wood tables. We offer two large indoor handicapped accessible restrooms, a fire pit, and an outdoor cocktail/ reception space complete with 16' concrete bar, lights and sound. The only private event space offered at Founders, The Centennial Room features a fully-staffed bar with eight taps (including one nitro tap), and can accommodate groups up to 65 seated (with additional seating for 50 on the deck.) Located on the second story of our facility, the room has a small lounge area with comfortable leather chairs and two walls of windows - east and south-facing - looking out over the city of Grand Rapids. Our wraparound porch connects to the event space via two glass-garage doors. The room is outfitted with three large flat-screen televisions and a retractable projector screen for PowerPoint or video presentations. A podium with a microphone can be available for any speeches or group announcements. The Centennial Room can be booked in 3-hour minimum blocks. Additional time can be added at a price per-hour charge if available.
