In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. I’ve been in love with art and anything weird since I was a kid and I still try to weave that child-like vulnerability into my art. I feel incredibly grateful I get to do something I love everyday. Photography, for me, is more than just a profession - it's a heartfelt expression of who I am.

We are the parents of six humans, four cats, and seven chickens. We love all things spooky, vintage, and we're fairly certain our bodies are 90% coffee. In case you can't tell from this photo from our wedding: we're incessantly goofy. We make our home in Birmingham, Alabama and we recently moved into our dream house: an old, spooky fixer-upper with enough land for a mini-farm. Our hearts weren't made to live without adventure, so we love to travel whenever we can!
