From our initial phone call, after interviewing a few different DJs from different companies, we knew Chuck would be the right fit. Throughout the planning process he was very accommodating, and the mydeejay planning portal was incredibly thorough and easy to navigate. Chuck arrived early to set up for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. His equipment was top of the line - everyone said our ceremony music (which was played outside during an incredibly windy day) sounded like live string music. His indoor set up was incredibly sleek looking. Chuck played all of our requested songs, cut them at the perfect places when needed (for ceremony and dances) and mixed in others that kept our dance floor packed all night - which is what we wanted most at our reception. Aside from being an awesome human, Heather is a talented photographer. Don't know how to pose and feel super awkward in front of a camera like me? No worries, Heather's got you! She'll direct you on how to stand, how to put your hands, how your face should look, give you hot tips... all of it! She also has a sharp eye for beautiful landscapes. “I came to your team 6 weeks out from my wedding after a bad experience at a previous hair and makeup trial with another vendor, feeling very sensitive and nervous about how hair and makeup with another team would go. After a perfect trial with Heather and Suzy, I was so relieved and confident about working with them on my wedding day. After the trial, I made a last minute change on my hairstyle for the wedding by deciding I wanted a flower crown, and took a leap of faith in hoping that Suzy would be able to help put it on me during a very tight window as a surprise for the ceremony. I mean it to my core when I say that I could not be more elated about how it all turned out. Suzy absolutely crushed it. Heather completely understood what I was asking for and flawlessly executed it. They both listened to my requests and feedback without judgement and did an amazing job. I also really appreciated that they both heard me when I let them know I was introverted and probably would want to use my hair and makeup time as a social battery recharge opportunity rather than engaging. I really felt like they respected this and did not take it personally, and I never had to remind them of it. I even noticed how they adapted their engagement depending on which people in my wedding party they were working on. One of my bridesmaids is much more extroverted and I overheard her having a wonderful conversation with Heather. Another bridesmaid is as introverted as I am and I observed she and Suzy working together in a peaceful environment of mutual respect for the silence. Lastly, I was so impressed with how the makeup and hair turned out for everyone in my wedding party. It truly could not have been a more flawless execution.
