I’ve been running Ridiculous Entertainment as my main business for 14 years. I picked up DJing as a hobby when I was in high school, falling in love with hip-hop and learning to scratch records. Throughout my college years, I DJed tons of parties. I now also work in live audio engineering, record albums in my home studio, play in bands, and produce stage shows with the Baltimore Rock Opera Society (BROS). “Aran DJ’ed our wedding at a farm in November. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Before the wedding: He communicated clearly and responded quickly to all of our inquiries, usually responding within an hour to emails! He asked really clear and simple questions that helped us clarify our goals and needs. We gave him murky instructions since we were overwhelmed with all of the choices we had to make for the wedding, and he translated our vague thoughts into a straightforward timeline, plan for equipment, and playlists. He communicated with our other vendors efficiently to make sure everyone was on the same page. He even helped us figure out how one of our friends could play guitar on an amp while walking between the locations. At the wedding: Aran went above and beyond. He showed up early and DJed our outdoor cocktail hour as a bonus. He DJed our outdoor chilly ceremony and stepped in to fix last minute microphone and lighting problems. I heard from everyone that the audio was clear and at a good volume, which I was worried about because we had hard of hearing guests. At our reception, at our request he helped orchestrate an EPIC hora dance, one of the best ever. He then emcee’d the night’s flow, calling up each person to give a speech, calling tables to the buffet, etc, in a way that was subtle and efficient. And then the dance party… the dance party!!! It was so epic. Aran brought a cool multi-color light, and played all the hits, took requests, asked me (the bride) like one or two questions when he needed to, and was just really fun and lively and down for whatever the crowd wanted. Aran, we are so grateful to you for helping to make our special night so wonderful!!! Thank you!!!”

He took into consideration some of our favorite artists and curated a wonderful playlist for our wedding day (i.e., ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). We had quite a unique request being “early 2000s nostalgia” for the reception and he delivered! During couples portraits before the ceremony, I remember telling people how much I enjoyed the music he was playing. Additionally, during our reception in the outdoor tent, everyone was out of their seat and on the dance floor. As someone who considers themselves a homebody, he really brought me and my (now) husband out of our shells and created such a fun energy. The transitions between songs were so smooth and well executed. Additionally, he was a wonderful and well-spoken MC for our event. We really appreciated him for being part of our big day! We gave him a list of songs and different genres we loved, and he took it to another level by creating an incredible "Power Hour" set. “If someone asked me nicely to go dance my heart out in 90 degree heat, I would probably refuse. If someone tried to bribe me to get out on the floor in near tropical levels of humidity and sweltering, oppressive temperatures, it would take a hefty sum. And yet, twice now I have seen Jeremy get not just me, but over one hundred people to move our feet to the expertly curated beats and harmonies, ignoring the heat in what were inarguably the best dance parties I have had the joy of participating in. My wife discovered Jeremy after I struck out in my search to find adequate music for our wedding. After wading through a sea of ridiculous quotes, flaky DJ's, and logistical nightmares involving the transportation of bands, I gave up entirely. So when my wife explained that she had found a DJ with extremely reasonable rates and fantastic reviews, I was in disbelief. But then, she played for me a sample mix that Jeremy had put together for a HIIT class and it was pure musical magnificence. We hired him soon after. Jeremy was prompt and polite in communications, knowledgeable, unforgettably friendly, and above all else the master of the party's vibe. He managed to blend Beyonce with MGMT, he got my grandmother dancing to N'Sync, I can't overstate how much fun we had. When we remember our wedding with friends and families, the music is everyone's highlight. I cannot recommend Jeremy highly enough. - Nic My partner and I were looking for a DJ for our wedding. This was a new experience for me, but Jeremy made it incredibly easy. He was organized, incredibly friendly, and even provided a survey to better understand our music tastes as well as our vision for the event. We thought we were doomed, though, because we're terrible at selecting exact songs and had no sense of how the music fit into the overall schedule of the night. We hadn't thought past our ceremony! Julian kept things positive, steered us when we had no idea what to do, but gave us space to put our stamp on our evening when he could sense we had ideas burbling. He was helpful, positive and always prompt without ever being pushy, and so many of our favorite moments came out of the things he got us to think about. Rashaun was awesome too. He took our weird list of preferred songs and turned it into an amazing night of love, dining, and dancing. It felt like he'd known for years, always hitting the right classic hit, the right remix, the right memory moments. He was such a kind and lovely man too. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!”

The band is INCREDIBLE and had our guests on the dance floor all night!! I realized at the end of the night I never even changed out of my heels into my white sneakers because that would have meant leaving the dance floor.
