“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

Most importantly, he was really attuned to the crowd's energy and was great about knowing when to play a song in full and when to just tease us with quick samples. If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. Also he is just the nicest guy- really responsive on email and genuine- which was so, so appreciated during tho last few chaotic months of wedding planning. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

“We loved working with Jon! He offered us so many great options and was incredibly accommodating with every request we had for our wedding music. He and his team are truly professional and kept the night running smoothly from start to finish. The “dancing on the clouds” feature was such a magical touch for our night sky themed wedding—it made our first dance feel truly unforgettable. We also booked the "retro" photo booth which was a huge hit! Our guests were using it all night long with help from the lovely Shelby. You absolutely NEED this photo booth at your wedding—it’s such a fun experience and an amazing keepsake! We had the best time looking through all the photos afterward. A special shout-out to District Harmony for performing during our ceremony and cocktail hour- they were fantastic! (People were texting me days later that they’re sore from dancing the whole night!) He is able to read the crowd and deliver. Its been a few months since the wedding and I STILL receive compliments about the DJ - how incredible the music was and how awesome his lighting work was.
