In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A CAMERA IN MY HAND. I GREW UP TAKING PHOTOS ON MY DAD'S OLD CAMERAS AN HAVING AN IMPROVISED STUDIO FOR DEVELOPING OLD FILMS WAS GREAT. WHEN I WAS 15 MY DAD BOUGHT ME A CAMERA AND I QUICKLY FELT IN LOVE WITH THE ABILITY TO CAPTURE MEMORIES AND FREEZE MOMENTS IN TIME. A FEW YEARS LATER, I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN NEW YORK CITY BUT THAT LOVE FOR CAPTURING AUTHENTIC MOMENTS WITH REAL PEOPLE HAS NOT CHANGED. How many times in your life can you say: “I have fulfilled something so meaningful that it not only makes me happy but complete strangers as well?” I get that fulfillment every time I step into a wedding, an engagement session, or even capturing a new born. I love capturing the moment that exist right when a groom takes a look at his beautiful bride and can’t help but shed a tear of joy. These unfiltered moments make my job that much better. I live for those instances, where raw emotions are revealed and I can piece together a story worth telling.

I dropped out of the physics program at Purdue University to pursue graphic design and photography. I fell in love with light; hard light, soft light, warm light, cool light, clean light, dirty light... all the flavors of light. And I fell in love with how the camera captures light and renders an image. For me having a camera in my hand is being home. I hope that feeling comes through in my photography. I look forward to chatting with you about your special day.

To date, there are only two images of me as a child. The first is my passport photo at the age of 1.5 months, the second is an image of me at the age of 8. Because of this, I have a deeper understanding, value and passion for photographs and imagery. With that said, I purchased my first camera at the age of 16 with my first paycheck! (used to flip burgers at a local Roy Rogers!). With that camera, I quickly learned how much I loved the art of documenting life with imagery and in 2012, I left a 16 year career in healthcare to follow my dream of becoming a photographer. I haven't looked back one day since then.
