This business came about from a little over a decade of hard work by Theodore in the Theatre and A/V event industries. Melvins DJ Service is owned by Melvin and his wife, Sarah. In the DJ business since 2013, They have recently expanded into a photobooth business (The Couve Booth) primarily operated by Sarah, although offering packages that include both services. Operating out of SW Washington, DJ Melvin serves a broad range of clients and styles in a broad range of areas across Portland and Vancouver area. We do not contract out our DJ services.

I have been DJing for friends, family, weddings, schools, and corporate events since 2010. In 2023, I finally launched my company, Williams Weddings and Events with a surge in demand for wedding services. I spent a few years working as a technical manager for a local theater company in Portland. My passion for excellence in audio came from this time running productions for the theater. I now DJ because I love it. It is my passion and an outlet for joy and creativity.
