I'm a 35-year-old husband to Samantha, our son Silas, daughter Fiona, and our wiggler companion Moxie. I've been a wedding photographer for 11 years, having photographed over 300 weddings and countless other sessions! My hobby is also my job, and you bet my wife loves that, haha. I am also a stay-at-home dad, a philatelist, a Lego freak, and a craft beer nerd, and we have an orange fridge, haha.

From the moment we first spoke with Erik, we knew he was the perfect photographer for our wedding. His friendly and passionate personality immediately put us at ease, and his professionalism shone through every step of the way. Erik's work is truly exceptional - the photos he captured are authentic, beautiful, expressive, emotive, and elegant. He had amazing ideas for poses and shots that resulted in stunning, one-of-a-kind images that we will cherish forever. Erik made our wedding day incredibly fun and joyful, keeping us laughing and smiling the entire time. His efficient and organized approach ensured the photo portion of the day went seamlessly. We are beyond thrilled with the work Erik did and cannot recommend him highly enough for any couple looking for a truly talented and wonderful wedding photographer. Erik was so great to work with right from the start. I could tell right off the bat just through email that he was so passionate about the work that he does. He also showed so much excitement to get the opportunity to capture our special day. He was very professional and thorough when communicating with us. Our engagement photo session was SO fun, and my husband and I both immediately felt comfortable with Erik. He is so friendly and so easy to work with. Getting pictures taken like that with a significant other can feel awkward, but Erik made it anything but that! It felt very natural and enjoyable, and it felt the exact same way on our wedding day. He took the time to get to know us and our vibe, and rolled with that when taking our pictures. All of our pictures capture our relationship and our love so well, and I’m so thankful we chose Erik! If you want beautiful pictures and some super fun photo sessions, book Erik as your photographer!

Original Weddings Photo & Video

Original Weddings Photo & Video is a team of EMMY award winning storytellers. Our photography and videography packages are tailored to you, customizable and perfect for every wedding. We offer engagement photography, wedding photos, highlight films, wedding coverage and more.

Awarded Best of Zola
Our wedding was filled with whimsy and charm - Original Weddings was able to capture that energy in video and film, so we can revisit that experience for a lifetime. Thank you for your attention to detail and level of care - we are overjoyed with the results! EXPERIENCE - We interviewed a few photography companies to compare prices, offerings, and aesthetic appeal; we ultimately decided on OW because they offered the best rates for videography and photography packages. From the beginning, the customer experience was favorable with multiple opportunities for touchpoints and planning. Their pricing is transparent and straight-forward; the add-ons will be tempting, and it will cost you. However, we appreciated that our interactions with the office staff weren't sales driven; they shared the options for add-ons without it being pushy. All communication and planning details are handled through a personalized portal and its the easiest way to ask questions and relay changes to the photography team. If you are someone that is not particularly organized, you'll love this feature and the imbedded questionnaires. They'll serve as a guide to crafting the look, identifying highlights to be captured, and a space for notes to the team working with you on the day of. During the wedding day, everything went smoothly and everyone was professional and personable. Their presence didn't feel intrusive and they expertly worked around our timeline to maximize efficiency. RESULTS - Our gallery was a fantastic mix of curated moments and candid memories. Each cluster of photos creates a timestamp throughout the day and it was a welcome reminder of all the small details of the wedding that can be easily missed among the shuffle of it all. In our package we stuck with 8 hours of photography and videography; electing afterwards to request the raw footage for an additional charge. I believe the quality of the photos and videos is phenomenal for the price - something similar may be double the price, especially if you're looking for more aesthetic/Instagramish vibe - we went traditional and it exceeded our expectations. SHOUTOUTS - I have to give special kudos to the team that worked directly with us. For planning and logistics, Sarah and Gabriella were attentive and quick to respond to questions. Sarah was very sweet and made our wedding feel like a priority and not just one of many they're juggling. I appreciate her collaboration on capturing the specifics to ensure even the smallest details were relayed to the team; and the results speak for themselves. The true heroes of the day were Pricilla, Sanaa, and Collin; they were the team tasked with documenting the magic of the day in a fashion that captured our essence as a couple. They quickly became a highlight of the experience - we hit it off immediately and their energy was uplifting and reassuring. We are eternally grateful for their patience with our families and the lighthearted approach they took to dealing with grumpier relatives. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and we are overjoyed to have been paired with this team because they did a phenomenal job.

Hi, I’m Kelsey! I am a wedding photographer! I am obsessed with dogs. I will never not acknowledge a dog near me by saying “puppers”. It is what it is. I would 100% rather be on the beach somewhere with palm trees. I am constantly daydreaming about being in the tropics. I love the color black. If we work together, there is a high chance that will be my outfit color of choice.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kelsey is amazing!!! We got married in January and did photos outside. Everyone was freezing and Kelsey made the experience fun, and didn’t complain about the cold once! She was so easy to work with and got along with our wedding party so well. Everyone loved her! Our photos are absolutely stunning and I am still obsessing over them a year later! I highly recommend Kelsey for all of your big life events that you want beautifully captured!

Hi, I'm Makenna, and I’m a Wedding + Lifestyle Photographer based in the Madison Metropolitan area! I am a midwest gal, born and raised, currently residing in Stoughton, WI. Most days you can find me hanging out with my best friend and husband, Chris, our daughter Scottie, and our dog, Sky. Other than my family and photography, I’m most passionate about music, dance and the arts in general. I’m also interested in clean skin care and beauty, sustainable fashion, supporting small businesses, and meeting/getting to know new people! I would love to get to know you more as a couple, and to photograph your wedding day!

Makenna was extremely helpful and understanding throughout the engagement and wedding photography process. Both my wife and I have little photography / posing experience so we were thankful for Makenna's input and suggestions. As she learned our photo preferences she was able to anticipate what shots we might want. Combined with her thorough review of planned wedding pictures we were able to prioritize what shots were "must haves" and massage our timeline as needed. If you want to make sure you look your best on your big day and don't have any shots missed I cannot recommend Makenna enough!

Phenomenal photographers and people. We were lucky enough to work with them for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. The pictures they captured of the candid moments were so perfect it brought me to tears. I’m so unbelievably happy that our day was captured so perfectly that I’ll be able to remember all the special moments for our lifetime and beyond. Jenna captured the genuine emotion of our wedding day, without any of the "cheesiness" that can be typical of wedding photos. We cannot say enough great things about having Caitlin as our wedding photographer! From our first meeting to engagement shoot and right up to the big day she was so easy to work with. She was always quick to respond to emails and questions. Even through all the COVID craziness, she was flexible with every change that came our way and was willing to adjust timing, schedule, location, etc. My husband and I were nervous in front of the camera at first, but she made us laugh, kept us talking, and encouraged us to be our natural selves. On the wedding day, she did not stop working for a second! She had talked and planned with us beforehand, so made sure to get all the specific photos she knew we wanted. We love how all our pictures turned out- she captured the emotions of our day perfectly!

Erika Diaz Photography

My own love story makes my heart skip a beat, and that’s my inspiration for capturing yours. For me, photography started as a fun, creative outlet—but it quickly became a way to bottle up the most meaningful moments in life. I love freezing those moments in time that make us want to hit “rewind” or at least “pause” for a little while. The moments that make my heart skip a beat.

As a wedding vendor, I've had the pleasure of working with Erika many times on creative projects and wedding days and have never had anything but the kindest words for my time with her! She's attentive and warm with every person she meets. She captures intimate moments others miss and allows freedom in the day for authentic memories to happen naturally. You'll feel fully supported leading up to the day with check-ins, timeline creation and easing nerves to make the day run smoothly. Highly recommended to all my couples!

My father started Ueda Photography in Brazil more than 50 years ago. I grew up immersed in the world of photography as both my parents were professionals in the field. I remember bright lights, classy suits, winding the film of the Hasselblad, and my dad’s fun personality. My father would take me to parties, even at the age of five, and instruct me in lighting. He introduced me as “Uedinha” or “Little Ueda” to the party guests. Now I find myself in Madison, WI. I continue my father’s legend in a new land. I have kept his excellence and attention to you, the client, while going forward with my own artistic sense of photojournalism.

Hiring Eivan’s for our wedding was a great decision! Our photographer Gregory I was professional and FUN! He kept us smiling throughout the day with his quirky personality! My fiancé does not care for photos so I’m happy we had someone working with us who could make him comfortable. He made sure to get multiple images even if it was just “one more”, it was never one more! We had actually hired a different photographer and we replaced him with this company. Worth the stress and money! If I had any tips for the company, it would be to have your photographers give a 30 minute warning before their contracted time is up. Weddings are so busy for the bride and groom, it is very easy to lose track of time. I think clients would appreciate a little heads up just so they can try and capture any photos they may have missed. Other than that, I have ZERO complaints. Such an amazing experience! 10/10 highly recommend :)

OLAS were the easiest vendor I worked with throughout the wedding process. Their quick and efficient communication gave me the peace of mind I needed when it came to wedding photos. I had a very specific vision for our imagery, and OLAS and our photographer were more than accommodating as I neurotically guided some photos. Our photographer came equipped with a great attitude and even better skills in capturing our day, and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photography experience.
