I seriously do not have enough amazing words to say about Linda and her team! I got married at the Ridgecrest venue in July and wow was the view stunning!! My guests (200) of them, could not stop talking about how gorgeous this venue was and how amazing the service was. It truly was the best day of my life! Linda and her team had everything organized for the whole year leading up to the wedding and not a single thing went wrong. I had a ton of guests stay at the Inn on site and absolutely loved it. The whole atmosphere of Stroudsmoor is unbelievable. If you want a wedding where everything goes perfectly and is in the hands of outstanding professionals, then this is the venue for you!! truly truly can’t say enough great things. You would be beyond lucky to have this team plan your wedding and on wedding day! (Shout out to Belkin for being the greatest on wedding day and by my side all night for anything I needed)!! Cannot wait to come back here for anniversaries. Felt like a fairy tale and the wedding of my dreams.

From the moment we saw the incredibly detailed website, it was the clear choice! Sarah was extremely communicative and helped us with every question and concern we had quickly. We got married a week ago at Walden and I cannot say enough about how positive an experience it was! Krystle and Alyssa (our dream team of planners) were our saviors throughout the entire planning process. I hadn't planned on using a full service planner until I found out Walden included them in the venue rental and now I can't imagine planning a wedding without them! They truly made the entire process fun, even during the more stressful parts. The rest of the Walden team is equally as amazing - the catering staff delivered some of "the best food we've ever had at a wedding," as many of our guests raved to us! The bar team also ran such an efficient operation that there was rarely ever a line for drinks, so rare at a wedding! Both teams worked with us to accommodate special requests and really felt like they prioritized making our day feel unique and special. The space itself is gorgeous and requires very little extra decoration, which is a great money saver! The separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail, and reception really made each part of the evening feel special. One of my favorite parts was the getting ready room - so rare to find in a Chicago city venue! My girls and I all had the best time getting ready in the space and it made for a very relaxing morning to already be on site. I could write 1,000 more words about how amazing this venue is but trust me when I say that if you want to alleviate as much stress from planning your big day as possible - Walden is the venue for you!!

The downstairs space was perfect for the cocktail hour, and the bridal suite shed out back was adorable—plenty of room for me and my seven bridesmaids. One of the biggest hits was the fire pit with the s’mores package—such a fun, cozy touch to end the night. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or well-run venue. Green Acres made our wedding unforgettable!

From the moment we stepped into Watson Block we just knew it was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. If your vibe is intimate, romantic, old world charm this is your spot. Pictures don’t do it justice and it’s so beautiful you truly need very little to make it your own. Gaby was incredible for the entire planning process all the way through to our big day. We did almost everything ourselves- including creating an arch to be married under, to signage, to table decor, even our own wedding flowers. Gaby answered every question with ease and was incredible at assuaging my nerves. She and her team set things up perfectly from the ceremony to the switch for dinner and then dancing. I often questioned if we needed a day of coordinator and was so happy I didn’t waste my money on one because it wasn’t needed. I never knew a day could be as truly magical as our wedding was and a huge part of that was how much we loved our venue. I would happily suggest it to anyone asking. The other huge bonus is it was truly one of if not the best value for venues in the twin cities. This gem will continue to gain notoriety as an incredible venue for years to come!!

They're a beautiful venue so I'm always guaranteed to take gorgeous photos there, but it's much more than that. They treat me and my team like valued friends and colleagues. We always know we're going to show up to warm kind friends who will take care of us all day, make sure we're fed along with the guests, and given every opportunity to get the beautiful photos that we need to. They're also very open and supportive to all marginalized communities and try their hardest to be the best ally they can be which is super important to me. We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding at the Galilee Beach Club, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Honestly, we didn’t even know we wanted a beach club wedding when we started planning—we just knew we wanted Narragansett beach vibes. As soon as we saw this venue, we knew it was the perfect fit. The food was incredible. From the very start, the tasting event gave us such a fun preview, and it only got better on the actual wedding weekend. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! We also decided to book our florals through the venue, and that was such a smart choice—the arrangements were stunning and perfectly matched the vibe we wanted, all without the stress of juggling another vendor. A huge shoutout goes to Emily, who was with us every step of the way. She answered countless questions, kept in touch with multiple email check-ins, and made sure every detail was thought of. On the wedding day itself, she was a total rockstar—calm, attentive, and making sure everything ran seamlessly. Even when a light drizzle came through, she and the team handled it effortlessly and kept the energy high. The rest of the staff was equally amazing. Everyone was so professional, kind, and genuinely fun to be around—it made the whole weekend feel so comfortable and celebratory. And of course, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We had about 100 guests, and having our ceremony right on the beach was the perfect mix of relaxed and romantic. The setting made for such a special backdrop, and it felt like the true Narragansett beach wedding we always envisioned (even before we realized we wanted a beach club!). We are beyond grateful we chose the Galilee Beach Club. From planning to the final sendoff, the entire experience was flawless. If you’re dreaming of a wedding with amazing food, incredible staff, and the most gorgeous beach setting, this is the place.

We were looking for a place that would allow us to bring in our own food, as we wanted to have a special cereal bar and waffle bar where guests could create their own custom treats. The Grange gave us that flexibility, and we were able to have the most amazing wedding reception with personal touches throughout the event. The staff was amazing to work with and provided us with little things we didn't even think about, making our day run seamlessly. We even accidentally stole their sign but were able to make arrangements to get it back to them before their next event - even then, they were super kind and responsive. Where do we even begin! We had our wedding November 30th, 2024 and had the absolute most perfect special day. We originally toured with Kyle and knew from then this would be our venue. Out of all the venues we toured, he was the most descriptive and passionate, answering any and all questions. From then on, everything was absolutely seamless and easy in every way. Jessica, who does floral and design…NO WORDS. She is an absolute gem to work with and master of florals. I had a very specific vision with colors and she made our wildest dreams come true. She met with me multiple times to ensure what I envisioned was what I wanted, and answered every single email so fast with my questions/changes/comments. Katrina was our coordinator through CKE, and was lovely to work with. She was there to answer any and all questions and extremely communicative leading up to wedding day when things can become stressful :) Day of she was also somehow always by our side the second we needed something. Lastly, the food…guests are still raving about it. It is beyond delicious and there are tons and tons of options to choose from. I have to give a special shoutout to the Lechon station, as people will not stop talking about how unique and amazing it was. We cannot thank the team at Crossed Keys enough for the dedication and attention to detail they put into making our day perfect. The communication is top notch, the food is beyond amazing, and the florals went beyond our wildest dreams.

As soon as we arrived, we were so glad that we had chosen Milton Ridge and knew that we had made the right choice. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were with us through every step of our wedding day with lots of support and smiles. The cottage for getting ready is very cute, the chapel is beautiful, and the reception hall is great as well. They have many services included in their various wedding packages like catering, DJ, photographer, and cake. They also have outside vendors that they work with frequently, such as hair and make-up and a florist, who are all wonderful. They are inclusive, and they are supportive of LGBT weddings. My now wife and I are part of the LGBT community, and we were treated very well by the entire team. We were able to have our wedding exactly how we wanted, and they worked with us on every detail. On the day, they had the entire day scheduled and kept us on track, which is actually so necessary and helpful on a day when you're trying to do so many things. From the moment I walked into VCLS, I knew this was the place where I wanted to have my wedding. The ballroom and grounds are absolutely stunning, and there was more than enough room for our 200 guests. Even though it rained, there were gorgeous indoor photo opportunities — we can’t wait to see the professional shots! Most of our vendors had worked here before and were excited to be back. Communication with Barry and Amy was seamless. They reassured me when I had questions, answered emails quickly, and even made my heart-shaped challah dream a reality. It’s the little touches that matter! Barry made this part of wedding planning stress free and he sure knows how to run a venue. Not to mention, he is very flexible and accommodating. Guests are still raving about the food and drinks. We had amazing options like the foodtini station, tacos, passed tomato soup & grilled cheese, and exit stations which included popcorn, cookies, and pretzels. It was a hard decision on what to choose for the food since there were so many options and we saw this first hand at the food tasting! The entire VCLS staff was incredible, making sure every guest felt taken care of all night. A special thank you to Amy, who was by my side from 3 PM until midnight and who fixed my dress just an hour into the reception when the bustle broke (she fixed it in half a second!). The next day, she also sent me 300 photos so we could revisit before we got the professional photos back. Amy had everything under control from the minute we stepped foot into the venue the day of the wedding and she was also there for my bridesmaids if they needed anything. I HIGHLY recommend VCLS!!! I’m sad my wedding day is over but I am so happy I chose this venue. 1000000/10!!

She was by my side the entire time, making sure I had everything I needed and helping me feel calm and cared for throughout the day. The cocktail hour was incredible. Our experience with The Riverview was incredible from start to finish. The process of booking included a detailed tour of the venue and a thorough review of the terms and conditions at a meeting to sign the contract, leaving us confident that we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Our tasting event was a wonderful chance to see the team in action and make some decisions about our own menu based on what we did and didn’t like. We worked with Kayla and Meghan as our coordinators, both of whom were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to take advantage of their expertise based on experiences with past weddings but still had the flexibility to customize the details of the day so that it didn’t feel like a “cookie-cutter” event. And the physical space is truly beautiful! Our planning experience was wonderful, but the experience with the venue and team on the day of our wedding was exceptional. Meghan’s positive but firm leadership kept things moving smoothly and between her and our attendants, Cam and Felicia, every detail was attended to! They were prepared for everything, even wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, and last-minute requests. We did quite a bit of DIY planning and customizing, but on the day of, we did not need to lift a finger! We were especially impressed the the special attention paid to our priorities. My husband and I were excited about our menu and prioritized food during our planning meetings. At our wedding, the venue made sure we had plenty of opportunity to eat, but the excitement of the day took away our appetite. The Riverview team packed up all of the food we couldn’t eat and sent us home with our leftovers (plus some!) so that we still got to enjoy our meal! Another item worth noting is that although two weddings took place that night, we never would have known it! We could not hear the other wedding in our ballroom and never encountered the other group during the entire time we were on site! In short, planning our wedding at The Riverview was an amazing experience, and the wedding day itself was even better! I’d encourage anyone to book!

My husband and I did an elopement but still wanted to have a big reception to celebrate; not many venues were willing or able to accommodate our non-traditional wishes however this did not stop the staff at the Roostertail. From our first walkthrough at Riverview ballroom with Stefania to the end of the wedding, everyone at the venue was amazing - helpful, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. Soon-to-be-weds can choose their own caterer to be approved by the ranch, allowing the pair to customize their day to their tastes and preferences. Parking is available, with overflow as well. There is only one event planned per day, and the couple has the day before and after the event for setting and cleaning up. We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! The ceremony lawn is absolutely gorgeous, and it was surreal to be married surrounded by lush flowers and towering bamboo. The reception space is beautiful and modern looking with beautiful lighting and an abundance of plants that make the area feel so warm and inviting. During the event and well after, our guests were gushing over how unique and picturesque our venue was! Our absolutely favorite part of the venue was working with Jonathan and Jessie! They are so down to earth, sweet and incredibly accommodating and felt like instant friends. If you are on the fence on hiring the Wedding Crashers, DO IT! They were a huge hit with our guests and now my husband and I are plotting ways to get some goats of our own! 10/10 Recommend having your wedding at The Brothers Ranch! You will have incredible pictures and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!

6mo out from our wedding and still dreaming of the day! From the moment we first reached out to La Joya Dulce, they were on top of it. The team was incredibly friendly and provided great suggestions to help make our special day “ours” and no one else’s! Their "share the love" inventory allowed us to save costs on decorations and other items that are often thrown out after just one use. The venue itself is so stunning, honestly minimal decorations are even needed. They really helped us think through all the little details that we wouldn't have known mattered, ensuring our wedding went off without a hitch. Their team truly cared and wanted to make our day special — from the operations staff who did setup and takedown, to the vendors they recommended, to the owners, everyone was amazing. Our wedding planner was incredible, kind, thoughtful, helped me make decisions I didn’t want to lol. How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
