Established in 1958, Roostertail is a well-known wedding venue in Detroit, Michigan. Bordering the Detroit River marina, its various banquet halls boast a tasteful blend of modern and industrial styles. Panoramic glass walls adorn every floor of the building, with private entrances leading to patios and balconies. Here you can celebrate your nuptials in the same venue that hosted special guests like Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones. Facilities and Capacity Roostertail has direct marina access with awe-inspiring views that set the stage for its two outdoor ceremony spaces, the deck, and the side patio. For indoor receptions, couples can choose between three rooms to suit either intimate gatherings or sizable celebrations.

Our Club Room is our most intimate yet social appeal space for 15-75 guests! Breathtaking waterfront views combined with one-of-a-kind downtown skyline views highlight the exclusiveness of the Club. With a modern renovation, our upstairs space features an outdoor balcony overlooking the marina, private bathrooms, a concrete bar with a rustic & industrial feel, & Edison light bulbs, 52-inch Flat Screen TV, with an integrated lighting & sound system, and a full-length wall heater fireplace.

The Marine Room is our our second-largest guest area featuring a Luxury Women’s Private Restroom, and a 500 square foot staging area. The Marine Room boasts the perfect atmosphere to entertain guests with live music and entertainment. Leave guests in "ahh" with our Hydraulic Rising Dance Floor and Advanced Sound & Light System. 40 foot Cascading Roostertail Fountains, a unique Fireplace Resting Area and an Outdoor Side Patio create a magical mood in The Marine Room.

There are 3 elements to your wedding investment: 1) Ceremony Rental, 2) Per Person Package, 3) Site Fee. These 3 elements come together for your total. Roostertail's wedding per person packages range from $149-$219 per person (inclusive of sales tax & gratuity). Ceremony Rentals range from $2,750-$3,850. “The best wedding I’ve ever been to” - every guest
Choosing Roostertail for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely incredible. Nicole and Colleen were amazing throughout the planning process, always responding to our questions and making everything feel seamless and stress-free. The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking—truly something out of a movie! We had our reception on the second floor, and the fountain overlooking the balcony was a showstopper. The atmosphere was so beautiful that it honestly felt like we were somewhere far beyond Michigan. Our guests are still talking about the venue, the food, the bar, and the outstanding service. Everything exceeded our expectations! What truly set Roostertail apart, though, was how personally the staff took care of us. Throughout the night, they went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were enjoying every moment. They brought us drinks as soon as we got off the bus, checked in to make sure I had water and anything else I needed, and even left a pair of flip-flops on my chair so I could keep dancing comfortably. When we accidentally missed out on the pizza during the reception because we were busy dancing, they even sent us home with two huge boxes! Those thoughtful little touches meant so much to us. Roostertail gave us the wedding reception of our dreams, and we cannot recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a truly five-star wedding venue with a stunning atmosphere, incredible food, and a team that genuinely cares about you, Roostertail is the place to choose! We would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful venue and amazing team
We had our wedding at the Roostertail and couldn’t be happier with our experience! Nicole was amazing to work with from the very beginning. She was always responsive, helpful, and detail-oriented. She made sure every detail was taken care of, helped connect us with vendors, and offered so many helpful tips and recommendations throughout the planning process. She also took the time to meet with us multiple times before the wedding to answer our questions and make sure we felt prepared. Nicole and the entire Roostertail team were so kind, organized, and attentive, and it truly showed on our wedding day. Everything ran so smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy our day! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and we received so many compliments from our guests. We are so happy we chose the Roostertail and would highly recommend Nicole and her team to any couple!

Beautiful Waterfront Space, Amazing Staff!
We chose The Roostertail for our wedding and couldn't have made a better decision. The waterfront views were absolutely stunning! We received so many compliments about the beautiful balcony, the waterfront views of Bell Isle and the Detroit River, and the Palm River Room in general. The food was fantastic, and we continue to receive feedback on how great it was! Nicole, our coordinator, was there the entire night keeping everything running smoothly and on schedule without us having to worry about a thing. It felt like such a weight lifted to not have to manage anything! She went above and beyond what we expected, jumping in to help with anything and everything. For example, she had drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts set aside for us which was such a small but meaningful gesture since we barely had time to sit down! She also took a number of photos and videos of her own which were so appreciated. From start to finish, the team at Roostertail made our day amazing. We'd highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a gorgeous setting with staff that actually cares!

Our wedding August 2026
Roostertail was the perfect fit for our wedding day. Nicole and her team communicated with us every step of the way—always on time, always with the details we needed. The venue itself is gorgeous with that retro charm and so much open space that our guests could move around and mingle comfortably. What really stood out was how they kept everything on schedule while making sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of. From setup to the final moment, Nicole and her team exceeded what we were hoping for with their attention to timing and presentation.
