Established in 1958, Roostertail is a well-known wedding venue in Detroit, Michigan. Bordering the Detroit River marina, its various banquet halls boast a tasteful blend of modern and industrial styles. Panoramic glass walls adorn every floor of the building, with private entrances leading to patios and balconies. Here you can celebrate your nuptials in the same venue that hosted special guests like Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones. Facilities and Capacity Roostertail has direct marina access with awe-inspiring views that set the stage for its two outdoor ceremony spaces, the deck, and the side patio. For indoor receptions, couples can choose between three rooms to suit either intimate gatherings or sizable celebrations.

Our Club Room is our most intimate yet social appeal space for 15-75 guests! Breathtaking waterfront views combined with one-of-a-kind downtown skyline views highlight the exclusiveness of the Club. With a modern renovation, our upstairs space features an outdoor balcony overlooking the marina, private bathrooms, a concrete bar with a rustic & industrial feel, & Edison light bulbs, 52-inch Flat Screen TV, with an integrated lighting & sound system, and a full-length wall heater fireplace.

THE MARINE ROOM

Mid Century Vibes on the Detroit Waterfront

The Marine Room is our our second-largest guest area featuring a Luxury Women’s Private Restroom, and a 500 square foot staging area. The Marine Room boasts the perfect atmosphere to entertain guests with live music and entertainment. Leave guests in "ahh" with our Hydraulic Rising Dance Floor and Advanced Sound & Light System. 40 foot Cascading Roostertail Fountains, a unique Fireplace Resting Area and an Outdoor Side Patio create a magical mood in The Marine Room.

Roostertail's 2025 wedding packages feature stunning riverfront views, elegant indoor and outdoor spaces, gourmet catering, premium open bar selections, and expert event coordination—designed to create a seamless and unforgettable celebration. Pricing includes three key elements: a ceremony fee (if held on-site), per person package rates ranging from $139 to $219 per person (includes tax + gratuity) , and a venue rental fee based on space selection.

    The Perfect Wedding Venue - Truly Unforgettable

    We had our wedding at The Roostertail in downtown Detroit, and we could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our day. The venue sits right on the beautiful Detroit riverfront, and our room—surrounded by glass on three sides—gave us the most breathtaking views of the waterfront. It created the perfect backdrop from start to finish. A huge part of what made our day flawless was Nicole, the event coordinator. She was outstanding in every possible way. Nicole had every detail planned, thought through, and executed with absolute professionalism. Her preparation and calm confidence made us feel completely at ease. She truly went above and beyond to make the entire experience stress-free, and we are forever grateful. The food was also exceptional. Everything was delicious, but the hors d'oeuvres were unforgettable—we still talk about how we want to go back just to enjoy them again! The service throughout the entire event was unbelievable as well. From myself and the groom to our bridal party and every single guest, no one had to worry about a thing. The staff kept everything running smoothly and seamlessly. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect—everything we imagined and more—and so much of that is thanks to Nicole and the incredible Roostertail team.     Best Venue and Coordinator EVER

    Roostertail was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first reached out, the communication with the team was fast and efficient. Nicole, our venue coordinator, was a true gem and went above and beyond to make our day beyond special.     The most perfect day

    The Roostertail was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the beginning, their communication was timely, flexible, and personable - Nicole, Colleen, and Shawna were all a pleasure to work with. The preparation leading up to our big day was so helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly. On the day of, they checked in multiple times to make sure all was well and address any questions or concerns. The true star of the Roostertail, though, is their stunning riverfront view, which speaks for itself as one of the most beautiful settings we could have imagined for our special celebration.     Beddow wedding

    The Roostertail was the perfect venue for our wedding on July 19th. From the moment we booked with them, the staff was amazing - they answered our questions quickly and were always there to help us no matter what we needed. The venue itself was huge, with more than enough space to accommodate all of our guests comfortably. The staff was attentive and available throughout the entire event, and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. And the food? Absolutely delicious - our guests are still raving about it weeks later! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience, and we highly recommend the Roostertail to anyone looking to have the wedding of a lifetime.

    Where Dream Weddings Are Made Possible

    By all definitions possible, Roostertail is one of the most beautiful and unique venues you can find in Michigan. Not only is the view of the Detroit River absolutely stunning, especially with the way the sunlight hits as it begins to set, but also with the newly renovated and extremely dynamic lighting system and floor plans. The entire staff is an absolute delight to work with. Never at any point did we feel that they were just "going along with things". Every single person we worked with seemed to care wholeheartedly about making our vision come to life and that they were enjoying the creative process of planning our wedding along side us. By the end of this experience, they felt like new friends -- ones my husband and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with. We had some rather out-of-the-box ideas, including live fire performances, swordsman combat, jazz band, middle eastern drum line, and a DJ. These may have been barriers at other wedding venues, but when we told Roostertail, they were nothing short of supportive and enthusiastic about making sure it all came together seamlessly. They even went above and beyond and added in surprises for us and our guests throughout the night, which was so cool! Also, we HIGHLY recommend their fireworks add-on option over the Detroit River. Truly, magical. The Roostertail team's attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to excellence made this a night we will never forget. We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Roostertail and feel lucky to have collaborated with such genuine, professional, and fun people.
