About this venue

Green Acres is an award winning Wedding & Event Venue conveniently located just 15 minutes southwest of Minneapolis. This lovingly restored historic barn is turnkey with all the modern amenities that include heat, air conditioning, handicap accessible elevator, surround sound, AV, wireless microphone, and theatrical lighting inside and out. Rain or shine, we can accommodate an indoor or outdoor ceremony and a seated reception indoors for up to 225 guests all year round. We have a lovely brick patio, outdoor lounge seating, a s'mores cauldron and a four sided fire pit for those perfect Minnesota evenings. Inside the barn, we have two levels: one for your cocktail/social hour and our upper/main level where the party happens! Green Acres is rustic elegance with stunning chandeliers, soaring Gothic Arch roof of aged timbers, and charming decor. Everything is wheelchair accessible because no one should miss out on the fun!

    Great experience!

    Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and Green Acres Event Center and the staff there played a huge role in making it so special. The venue itself is stunning and has so much character we only added a few decorations to add our own touch. The indoor and outdoor spaces were both gorgeous and the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. We appreciated the ability to move the ceremony indoors if weather wasn’t cooperating. Robyn and the other staff were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. Their excellent and prompt communication made us feel so supported and took away much of the planning stress. They worked so well with our coordinator and handled logistics so flawlessly that we got to just relax and enjoy our day. Highly recommend this venue!

    Green Acres is the best!!

    We could not have asked for a better experience at Green Acres. From the moment we toured it we knew it was the one. It has so much character compared to some of these new "modern" venues that are just plain and require a lot of decorating from your end, which we did not want. The staff was super friendly and communicative from the very beginning- They are so organized and I felt like I was in such good hands throughout the whole wedding planing process. Megan specifically was so wonderful and really payed attention to detail to make sure our vision came to life all the way through our special day! I would definitely recommend Green Acres for a "outside of the city" feel without the long drive!

    Perfect Winter Wedding

    The perfect venue for anytime of year, but especially in the winter! We brought some decorations, but the natural beauty of this venue would have been more than enough. The staff is also so unbelievably helpful and competent, and they helped an overly anxious person like myself really enjoy our special day! I couldn’t recommend this venue enough!

We ask that you use one of our catering services for your bar package. You are able to bring in outside wine with a corkage fee of $15 per bottle opened.
Yes! We have the capability to park 70 vehicles.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have a ramp at our side entrance, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
Your reservation includes 12 hours from start to finish, including the time it takes for your set up and removal of décor/personal belongings. Any additional time will be billed at $450 per hour.
