“If anyone were to ask me what my favorite part of my wedding was I’d have to say “Black Walnut Farm!” What a remarkable experience it has been to work with Sarah, Jim, Lish, Lindsey, and of course, Miss Lilly! My partner and I didn’t even bother viewing another venue because we could instantly feel how special the BWF property was — we called 30 minutes after our tour and said we were ready for the contract and deposit. Even still Black Walnut Farm far exceeded our expectations! Everything about this venue is so thoughtfully curated and managed. There is just so much care and consideration that has gone into every inch of this very special place! My partner and I decided to have a “honeymoon” week during the week of the wedding; we chose to have the extended package where we stayed on the property just the two of us. Unwinding in front of the fireplace while playing chess and drinking wine was such a lovely way to relax the night before. The sunroom is the perfect place for getting ready the morning of the wedding! After our wedding (in lieu of an after party) we just asked to have the hot tub ready for us, which was the best move ever! Most importantly, the BWF team were so kind and patient, cool and collected. In the face of some extreme family drama and chaotic spring weather they always rolled with the punches. I felt that I could trust them fully and always felt safe and cared for. I was not afraid to defer to their expertise in the midst of the chaos, and I do not regret any of those decisions! In fact, the backup rain plan ended up being better than the original plan! Thank you again, Black Walnut Farm. You have created something so very, very special and we will be eternally grateful!”

“Just had my wedding here and what a time we had :D Devin, the owner, was incredibly easy to work with when planning and was very patient in answering my endless questions. Our guests loved the venue, especially the easy access to the patio during the reception, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you want the full effect of the orchards in bloom for your photos, I would wait until later in the season, but we had excellent weather. Great bar selection and everyone got a kick out of the arcade area. 10/10, would recommend!”

“Skyview Golf Club was the PERFECT place to get married! My now husband and I had a blast at this venue and they made the process soo smooth. Hildegard was a huge help and basically held our hand along the way to make sure we checked everything needed to get done. Not to mention, we were planning a wedding across the country so her communication was essential to this process. I couldn't have asked for a better spot. It's also such a naturally beautiful venue that we didn't need to go overboard with the decoration as they already had a lot of stuff on site! I would 100% recommend this location to people and already have to some of my recently engaged friends! Additionally, their partnered vendors were everything we needed as well. Made it so much easier as they had recommendations already on lock. Thank you again Skyview for making our special night the most memorable.”

“Right after we toured at the Barn at LF, I knew this was where we wanted to have our wedding. It was absolutely MAGICAL! so warm and welcoming, it instantly felt like home. On top of that, Beth was an absolute sweetheart and really sealed the deal for us. From start to finish, every single person at the Barn went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Both Dani and Beth had the best communication, always quick to respond to my (many!!) questions and so supportive through the entire planning process. The property itself is absolutely breathtaking, honestly, it looks like what I would imagine heaven to be. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful setting or kinder team to share our day with! “We had our wedding at Vanderbilt Lakeside at the end of August and could not have imagined a better experience. From start to finish, working with Henrietta and Matt was truly seamless. Henrietta was responsive, organized, transparent, and made the planning process genuinely enjoyable. She also had many vendor recommendations that were incredibly helpful in bringing everything together. The venue is stunning and so versatile. We had 50 guests and highly recommend renting a tent for the deck if you're doing dinner outside. It really elevates the space and the flow of the reception. Our ceremony was in the yard, dinner on the deck, and dancing in the bar room, and it all flowed perfectly. The staff was amazing and made us feel like VIPs all night. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food, the service, and the beauty of the venue. We loved staying on-site with our dog while family and friends stayed in downtown Hudson, and we arranged a shuttle for easy transportation. Setup and cleanup were a breeze, thanks not only to the Vanderbilt Lakeside staff but also to our wedding coordinator, which made the whole experience even smoother. We loved every minute and couldn't recommend Vanderbilt Lakeside enough. I almost wish I could keep it a secret because of how special it felt. It was worth every penny, and was truly the perfect place for us to celebrate.”

“This venue was perfect from start to finish. This hotel/venue has beautiful sweeping Hudson river views. This is a dog friendly venue. It is also only a 25 minute drive from local Albany airport. The venue has a modern industrial vibe. Aaron, Laura and the whole Wire team were very accommodating and kind from day one. This venue is all inclusive. We were were able to book hotel blocks for our guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. We were able to stay in the bridal suite (Heron Suite) for a total of three nights. This room is beautiful, it has a large 4 poster bed, sitting room and huge bathroom with large walk in shower. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Patrick Henry ( one of their restaurants on site), which is adjacent to the venue property. The food was delicious and gave off a casual vibe for out of town guests as they were arriving. The day of the wedding the bride and groom have their own beautiful getting ready rooms. The bridal getting ready room had a lot of natural light and salon style chairs for hair and makeup. The morning after the wedding we had our brunch at the Day line Roof top bar, which is another restaurant on the property. The food was a delicious breakfast buffet. The Caboose

Hudson, NY
  • Up to 184 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $45,000

Welcome to The Caboose, a stunning 3,500-square-foot space steeped in Hudson Valley history, reimagined for an open, modern feel that’s both communal and cosmopolitan. With its soaring beamed ceilings and expansive cathedral windows, The Caboose is truly the best wedding venue in Hudson, NY and the perfect spot to host your next seated event, where guests can enjoy a seasonal farm-to-table menu curated by Executive Chef Nicole LoBue. After dinner, continue the fun with dancing and drinking, or simply step outside to watch the sun set on our lush private garden filled with over 14,000 perennials. Whatever you decide, The Caboose is the space to enjoy all the modern amenities you’ve come to expect from a venue like ours — including killer sound and PA systems and aesthetic finishes like warm woods, cool marbles and stone, and hand-finished metals, all accomplished without sacrificing our commitment to being 100% carbon-neutral — because we love our planet as much as we do our guests.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Has a fun and festive vibe

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No on-site guest accommodations
“We had a roundabout journey to The Caboose, but I couldn't be happier that it's where we landed for our wedding in September '25. From the jump, we appreciated the gorgeous space, their commitment to doing right by the planet, and the affiliation with Kitty's—some of our favorite food in Hudson. The combination of a beautiful garden and stunning indoor space made us feel like we were safe no matter the weather. Every time we visited, the garden got better. We loved how lush and colorful it was for our day. We enjoyed working with Caitlin, the venue manager. She was creative and flexible and willing to work with us to do a few things a little differently (like have the ceremony in a different spot in the garden). The food was truly incredible—we still have people raving about it! We appreciated that because we were right on the edge seasonally, we were able to choose the summer menu instead of the one for fall, which felt just right for the day's weather and feeling. Because we had our tasting in February, we weren't able to try most of the items we had, but we trusted we were in good hands—and we definitely were. The kitchen team was also incredibly accommodating with our guest's dietary restrictions—everyone felt very cared for, which is what we hoped for the most! We had live music as well as a DJ and everything sounded truly great in the space. The staff working on our day was SO kind and helpful—people made mention of how warm everyone was, too. I saw many a chitchat at the bar, just because they were so lovely! Just a note, too, that while The Caboose was pricey, we were totally amazed by the value and all that they take care of. We looked at dozens of venues—from full-service spots to DIY operations—and kept coming back to the mix of creativity, value, and quality that The Caboose offered. The fact that they take care of the food, drinks, furniture rentals, lighting, sound system, and staff—and all at such a high caliber—unheard of! We truly couldn't have done it without them. “I don’t even know where to begin. At the beginning of our wedding journey, finding a venue was the hardest thing we could’ve done. My husband and I had a specific vision in mind and had an incredibly difficult time finding a place that we loved that was also within our budget. We’re from the LI area but knew we wished to get married upstate. We must have visited at least 10 venues. Then on our way home from one, my husband found Stablegate on a whim. We looked everything over and it had the barn that I wanted, and the catering included that my husband wanted and I said “if we visit and we like it, I’m putting a deposit down the next day.” And that’s exactly what we did. Birch Hill is an incredible family owned company with so many aspects attached to it, it was hard not to fall in the second we saw it. Over 2.5 years, I never once regretted that decision and once the wedding day came and went I knew it was the right choice for us. The food is amazing and a ton of different options (including catering to my vegan guests), the staff are incredible, and the vibes are immaculate. Our wedding coordinator Jared was really the star of the show. He was super accommodating to all of our needs, organized, and just all in all a ridiculously sweet and funny guy. When our wedding day ended up getting rained out, he came up with backup plans right on the spot that honestly fit our vibe so much more than our original plan and I really truly have Jared to thank for that. Jared treated us like we were old friends that he was just helping throughout the day. He is someone I will truly forever be the most grateful for to have on my wedding day. I have heard so many horror stories about venues, and I can honestly say this is not one of them. Stablegate Barn and the Birch Hill Catering Company have my highest recommendation. And if you need a coordinator, ask for Jared. Really truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you for an amazing wedding day.”

“When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted our guests to truly experience the simple beauty of the Hudson Valley. That is what led us to the Abeel House. Our entire day was magical. I walked down the aisle on a little pebble path, surrounded on both sides by wildflowers. Our wedding guests were seated on hay bales in the prairie, the sun on their backs and the stream behind them. After our ceremony, we celebrated in the restored barn behind the historic Dutch stone house. We split the barn into three sections — one to seat our guests for dinner, one for the dance floor, drinks, and dessert tables, and one for the local bluegrass band we hired. As evening came, we turned on the twinkle lights in the barn and danced the night away. You could see the stars through the open windows.”

We are located on 30 acres of manicured lawns and traditional New England style gardens, nestled in between two shimmering lakes. Guests staying with us enjoy use of the many property amenities. We host only one wedding per day to insure that our focus is entirely on you.

“We can’t say enough good things about Interlaken. During early wedding planning, we were initially torn between two venues, and what made us choose Interlaken was how incredibly responsive and friendly everyone we interacted with here was. Robyn gave us the tour of the venue and answered our million questions while we were in the decision phase (she was a joy to work with), and Susan was our assigned planner after we booked. Susan was super organized and on top of everything, and made sure we were feeling comfortable and prepared in the months leading up to the wedding. She was very accommodating, listening to our vision and making basically all of it a reality. She handled the logistics for all our events from rehearsal dinner to after party, and absolutely every part went flawlessly. The maître d’ and other support staff were equally incredible, going out of their way to make sure we were brought drinks and fed and happy the whole night. The venue itself is gorgeous, and it was a huge bonus to have all our guests able to stay on-site and able to entertain themselves with tennis and swimming and other included activities. The lake itself is so beautiful, and it made for a fairytale-like backdrop for the ceremony. All in all, Interlaken made our perfect wedding a reality, and we are so grateful we decided to go with them.”

“We had our wedding reception at Pine Ridge Farms and what a magical and unforgettable experience we had! You can see the Catskill Mountains from the property and the views are breathtaking. The owner, Ms. Gioja was truly wonderful and she made the planning process seamless for us. Which was so important, because it was my first time and she was patient and so very accommodating. It was apparent that she wanted the bride to be happy!!! She was an absolute blessing to us and her team as well! Being able to celebrate with our family and friends at a place that added such beauty and magic was what I wanted! I always say to Ms. Gioja that her place makes you feel at peace, being away from the business of this world and to be surrounded by sounds of nature. What a feeling?! “We had our wedding at the Lucy Brate Barn, and it was an incredibly beautiful, charming, and seamless event. The venue (and our photos) looked amazing, and we got so many compliments from our guests. The Mead Family Farm is so scenic, with the barn looking out over a small valley where you may catch a glimpse of the cows grazing in green fields between the rolling hills. The barn is impressively huge, easily fitting our 100 guests with plenty of room to spare. It has such an old-timey charm, made even cozier by the lights, flowers, and decorations. The large doors were wide open, letting in the breezy summer night air, and our guests were also enjoying the outdoor spaces, especially the beautiful patio out back, lined with flowers and greenery and decked with hanging lights. The farm was such a gorgeous place to get married! The Mead-Neff family is so hardworking, helpful, and accommodating — and incredibly calm and collected under the pressure of such a large event. They made the planning process easy and smooth, and they were there for us every step of the way. They really went above and beyond for us, and we are so grateful to them for making our wedding such a special and beautiful event! Thank you!!! We highly recommend the Lucy Brate Barn at Mead Family Farm!”
