We had to rely heavily on reviews to narrow down our search…but that only gets you so far when you want to feel the energy. In a leap of faith, we reached out to Denise. After that first meeting, we never looked back! It was easy to just spend time talking to Denise. She was our hype-lady from day one, working with our schedules from planning to the meticulous execution of the wedding day. She was patient with our indecisiveness on which instrumental version of our procession song we wanted (weeks of samples, back and forth, and for us to ultimately pick the first version she shared). As a planner, I very much appreciated Denise’s attention to detail. She combed through every detail with us well beforehand, so that she didn’t have any questions the day of the wedding. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. “I used A Touch of Class for my summer 2026 wedding and was very impressed by their professionalism and services. There was no other vendor that was as quick to respond as Ken and his team. A Touch of Class are seasoned professionals and are very flexible in accommodating to the timelines and aesthetics for each of their client's individual weddings. I was even surprised and pleased by the level of detail in their wedding prep questionnaire. They really thought of everything and knew like the back of their hands how weddings operated. There was no stone left unturned by their team and they are all truly veterans in the wedding business. We even had family members compliment their email check ins and many of our guests came up to us to tell us how much they enjoyed the music. We had quite the generational gaps between our guests and they all left the wedding day pleased and they truly knew how to pack the dance floor. “We hired DJ El Sid for our August 9th, 2025 wedding, and our reception was an absolute banger. Sid is super talented and is great at reading the crowd likely because he still actively DJs at clubs which is exactly what we were looking for. He had everyone on their feet dancing from our younger crowd of friends and cousins to our older family and friends. You know it’s a good party when you have a dachshund do the limbo and the men’s ties transfer to their head haha. We got SO many compliments on the DJ from our guests! Additionally, Sid did a fantastic job with the ceremony and grand entrances and dances, and MCing. We had 2-3 planning meetings with him via Zoom before the wedding, which were super helpful to get to know each other, ask questions, and share our music tastes and wishes. Fusion function also had an app where we could upload our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, first dances, and reception to keep everything organized and give Sid a vibe for our music style. “Wow, wow, wow. The 1999 was recommended to us by our friends who saw them at a bar in Newport, RI. When we contacted them, they set up a private and intimate showcase where we got to sit down with the whole band and their DJ and ask a million questions. They also played a mini set and took our requests LIVE on the spot -- that blew us away. When it came time to our actual wedding, they were so polished, warm, friendly but most importantly energetic and fun. We had a wide range of ages at our wedding from kids under 12 to our great grandparents over 90 -- and all of them raved about how great they were. “Chris was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Communication before the wedding was spot on-he always responded to my emails, meetings were insanely easy to schedule, and I never once questioned whether I could rely on him. He was prompt, trustworthy, and just easy to work with. We had a live violinist for our ceremony who needed backing tracks, and Chris coordinated all of the audio directly with her. I honestly couldn't even tell you the logistics of how they worked it out because I didn't have to be involved, which was exactly what I wanted. Everything between the two of them was seamless. Cocktail hour and dinner music were perfect. He used our playlists, handled every announcement we threw at him, and our entrances and transitions were seamless. We had different songs for our parents, wedding party, and our entrance, followed by our first dance and parent dances, and he nailed all of it. The biggest accolade Chris deserves was our first dance. We wanted two different versions of the same song mixed together at a VERY specific point, and Chris literally mixed them live at exactly the time we requested. It was perfect. We were also very intentional about our dance music. We had a playlist and specifically told Chris that guests could not request additional songs unless they got approval from one of us first. He stuck to that and turned people away when they tried, which I appreciated SO much. He played the majority of our playlist and kept the vibe we wanted all night. There were a few songs we had intentionally added that didn't get played, so I individually requested them, which solved the problem in real-time. That's genuinely my only constructive feedback. He also knows when NOT to talk. He didn't over-emcee. He made announcements when we needed them and otherwise let the music speak for itself. We added the audio guestbook through him as well; it worked perfectly, and I believe we had all of the recordings back within 48 hours. Chris is an overall great guy. He stayed around after the wedding and talked with us for a bit, and after working with him throughout the entire planning process, I can confidently say he is someone I would trust with a wedding again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”
