We had a wonderful experience with Fern Hill. They helped guide us through the planning process and were there to answer all of our questions. Reagan was the one that we worked most closely with. She was there for us all throughout the planning process and on our wedding day and was super attentive (helped saved the day when I spilled something on my dress!). The whole operation at Fern Hill was organized and seamless - the food was excellent, the DJ they provided from Bedrock entertainment (Sam) was INCREDIBLE, and our banquet coordinator, Jules, was very communicative and made sure the reception went smoothly. The only minor issue we had was it was somewhat hard to find someone to help with a few mishaps during the reception (ie. spilled drink on the floor, photo booth stopped working). My maid of honor said it was a little difficult to find someone to come help in those situations, but other than that, it was the most perfect day and we are so appreciative to Fern Hill!

Harrington Farm was truly our dream venue, and they exceeded every expectation! From the start, their team was responsive, organized, and incredibly professional, making the entire planning process feel seamless. It was immediately clear that they are experienced professionals who know exactly how to execute a streamlined wedding day. We had the pleasure of working with Jess and Lindsey, who were both wonderful throughout the process. Lindsey, our day-of coordinator, was attentive, supportive, and full of thoughtful guidance that made us feel completely confident leading up to our wedding day. Becca, our attendant, was phenomenal. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and created such a relaxing atmosphere. Because everything was handled so professionally, we were truly able to stay present and enjoy every moment of the day. Although we were married in early April before the spring blooms arrived, the property was still absolutely stunning. The grounds were beautifully maintained and picturesque, even without full foliage. One of the most complimented parts of our wedding was the food. The seasonal menu offered so many great options and their tasting event was incredibly helpful—not only for selecting menu items, but also for providing insight into vendor recommendations and table design options. The Smoked Brisket and Garden Pesto Pasta were particular favorites among our guests and received countless compliments throughout the evening. We also appreciated how accommodating Harrington Farm was with our needs and budget. The extensive planning resources they provide, along with their recommended vendor list, made the entire experience feel organized and manageable from start to finish. Every member of the team was professional, warm, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day special. We are so grateful we chose Harrington Farm as our venue and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-organized, and exceptional wedding experience.

I cannot recommend Four Winds Farm enough. Not only was our wedding perfect and unforgettable, but the whole weekend was so truly special. Ian and Bri went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true with such care and ease. Every single inch of Four Winds is gorgeous, you’ll have a hard time choosing where you want it all to happen! We also really appreciated the history and character of the barn, we barely had to decorate as the space was filled with memorabilia and fun details. It’s really the coolest spot. As we come up on our first anniversary, we’re wishing we could go back and relive it all!

While my husband and I didn't get married at Milliken Manor, we had the pleasure of working with Kristen and Blackwater Events for our wedding in November 2025. It was an absolute joy to work with her from Day 1. She took every wish on our wishlist and made it a reality. She coordinated a "bouquet-making station" for me and my bridesmaids and created a timeline that maximized dancing for the guests. She pulled off a Chipotle dinner buffet that my husband thought was only a pipe dream (and even made it "upscale" enough to please my mother). Last but certainly not least, she somehow got my dad excited about the planning process and navigated family dynamics like a saint. If I had it to do all over again, it would certainly be with Kristen - and this time at Milliken Manor!

In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. Highest recommendation.

My now husband and I had an amazing experience at Stonebridge! The venue is beautiful and Halley was wonderful. Very friendly, wicked quick with communication, and super thoughtful. She help me pick out colors and center pieces (which were perfect!) , that was really helpful and took all that stress off me. We had a pretty small wedding, about 20 people, and everyone had an amazing time. The staff was very professional and friendly. The chef was helpful and understanding of a couple of our picky eaters, both him and Halley worked with us to make sure everyone had something to eat that they like. Speaking of food, the food was awesome, even my husbands Italian grandfather loved it! I wouldn't have changed anything about that day 10/10 would recommend.

My wife & I had the privilege to get married surrounded by our friends & family at the beautiful Montague Retreat Center in June of 2024. There’s a seemingly endless list of what drew us to MRC, but some key features to highlight: - Incredibly beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces - Comfortable, spacious, and accessible on-site lodging options - Flexible weekend buyout, enabling us to bring all of our ideas to life without much restriction or hurdles - Wheelhouse Catering: some of the best wedding food we’ve ever tasted in our lives - All of Montague staff, especially Jason Jason deserves his own dedicated review, but from the planning stages all the way through until the end of our weekend, Jason made himself available and ready to help. Jason referred several our vendors that made our day go off without a hitch, all of whom brought creative and personal touches that made our day so special. He consistently went above and beyond day of as well, from catching decorations that needed to be put out, to being hands-on assisting guests that needed extra help, and facilitating vendors to ensure everything was in its right place. His knowledge and general presence brought a calming energy that really helped us feel at home at MRC. For our wedding weekend (170 guests), we really took advantage of all we could at MRC. We observed first hand and heard from guests after our wedding that they felt they had plenty of space to enjoy themselves comfortably through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. With the full weekend rented, we used every square inch that the venue offered: - Friday: Portable Brick Oven Pizza in front of the Great Hall - Saturday AM: family provided breakfast buffet near the dining tent - Ceremony: Outdoor up on the ceremony ring - Cocktail Hour: Custom Poetry and plenty of activities all around the barn - Reception: Live band with stage lighting & sound; DJ later in the evening - Saturday Night: Late night fire pit & snacks for the wedding party - Sunday AM: Bagel sandwiches from Tandem Bagel in the lower level of the barn We can’t stress enough how perfect our weekend was at MRC. Montague Retreat Center will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it left a lasting impact on not only us, but our friends and family as well. At the end of our wedding weekend, many of our family members suggested that we rent out the space for a night every few years for a recurring big family bash. We may have to do just that!

We found this venue after searching, searching, and searching for the wedding location of our dreams. And then we saw it… It wasn’t finished yet, but just from the vision and the photos of what it was going to look like, we were already in love. It had everything we wanted: a beautiful indoor space to get ready, big windows that connected the inside with the outside, and the option to host cocktail hour outdoors. It was exactly what we had dreamed of both indoor and outdoor spaces in one perfect place. From the pictures we knew it was special, but when we saw it in person… it was even more beautiful! Everything is luxurious and so well taken care of. Honestly, you don’t need extravagant decorations because the venue itself is the decoration—it has everything you need and more. From sewing kits and pins to fix your dress, to a toothbrush everything you wouldn’t even expect is already there. It’s fully equipped and thoughtfully prepared. And we can’t talk about this venue without mentioning Kim, the owner. She is incredibly hardworking, kind, and so patient throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, she helped us in so many ways. She was there from the beginning, attentive to every detail. Her service is beyond what you expect truly above and beyond. Everything was clear from the start no surprises, just honesty and professionalism. Choosing this venue was, without a doubt, the best decision we made. Everything went smoothly, everything was beautiful. I would get married there a million times over. In fact… I want to get married there again! Thank you for making our day unforgettable.

Couples have exclusive access to the property for a multi-day stay, with space to host several moments across the weekend rather than compressing everything into a single day. We host just 12 weddings each year (May–October), each reserved as a private, three-night experience. Your stay includes on-site accommodations for up to 12 guests, along with full access to the barn and grounds. Weatherhead Hollow is best suited for couples who value time, flexibility, and ease – and who want the freedom to shape their celebration at their own pace. Outside of weddings, the farmstead offers fully funded artist residencies — a commitment to beauty, care, and craft reflected throughout the property.

Katherine and Daniel's Weatherhead Hollow is a magical Vermont wedding venue. Their direct and caring communication style made planning our big day a breeze. The venue was clean, beautiful, and oozed New England charm with its rustic barns and sweeping mountain views. When we first moved to Brattleboro back in 2023, the Retreat Farm was one of the first places we visited. Not only is the mission of nonprofit phenomenal, the organization hosts events that bring community together and folks closer to nature. When deciding on our wedding venue a year later, the Retreat Farm was one of our top choices. At the time, the North Barn was being renovated and had not yet been finished, but even then we saw the vision. I also think it is important to mention, as a queer couple, we received nothing but respect throughout the entire process. From the beginning, everyone we worked with from signing the contracts to planning the actual wedding, we received enthusiasm for our less than traditional wedding (Gothic Victorian/Halloween themed). Retreat Farm from the beginning was exceptional! I cannot reiterate enough how kind everyone was to work with. Working with Samantha as the venue coordinator was a breeze. She was accommodating, fun, and well organized. She answered every question, no matter how little. Planning a wedding is no easy task, but every step of the way, Samantha and the Retreat Farm staff were there. Franklin and the staff day of were also all so accommodating and there to help address any last minute hiccup! Everyone was also so fun and inviting to all of our guests dressed up in their costumes. We had an outdoor ceremony on Outlook Meadow and I know the work that would've gone into hauling the arbor, chairs, and sound system up that hill, but they did what they could to make our day PERFECT! We had our reception in the North Barn and even with spending time in the space before, I could not have imagined how perfect it was with all of our decor! The wood beams, tables, and lights balanced perfectly with our elegant Victorian and silly Halloween decor! No matter what style wedding you're looking for, the Retreat Farm will help you make it happen in the most beautiful spaces! If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Stone Garden is a country house on a residential road sitting on the Connecticut River. However, when you visit there you get an idea of the beauty of the site. The apple trees next to the outdoor bar, the ceremony site overlooking the river with a mountain in the background, and the semi-permanent barn structure with clear sides all make the site a place to remember. The lights in the apple trees make a beautiful background at night. The DJ's uplights made the semi-permanent structure shine. All of this combines to make a venue that will last in memory as one of the most beautiful around. Frank and Kristin were very communicative throughout the whole planning process. Both Laurel and Livia helped keep all the details in line on the day of. Everything went smoothly the day of our wedding, and if it didn't, we didn't know about it. If you want a beautiful venue for your event, take a good look at Stone Garden.

I had a wonderful wedding thanks to Patrick and his family. It unfortunately rained but we were able to move things around to accommodate, Patrick and his family were very helpful with setting things up. I recommend hiring a good tent company the one I used I wasn’t happy with. The bridal suite and barn was a great touch that helped a lot with the rain and getting ready. We recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Gallifords. We are not from the area and the wedding venue gave us a list of suggestions for the rehearsal dinner. We tried several other venues but was most impressed with Gallifords. Initially we were skeptical about having the event at the zoo. Gallifords was the most accommodating of any other restaurant. The private function room came with a private patio with views of the zoo. We had three staff members take care of our event. The food was outstanding. The staff was beyond outstanding and made the event even more special.

We plan, arrange, and cater events—weddings, bat and bar mitzvahs, showers, reunions, small gatherings, memorial services or anything you can think of, indoors or outdoors. It’s a charming, sprawling old house that abuts the town green. During warmer months events take place in our gardens and the fully restored late 19th century barn. Whatever you imagine for your event, we're here to help you realize your dreams. We'll help you every step of the way, from planning and budgeting to coordinating the day. We open our home to you and take away all the stress of planning your dream day. We want to make your day about who you are.

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience hosting our wedding at The Curtis House by Gloriosa & Co. My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago (September 2024) and our wedding was truly one the happiest, best days of our lives thanks to the love and personalization that Gloria and Emma put into planning and executing our day. We were drawn to so many things about the venue, including the charming setting of Ashfield, the rustic but modernized aesthetic of the barn, the beautiful gardens and greenhouse, and the house being an available space to get ready. We were also drawn to the convenience and uniqueness of being able to provide our floral arrangements from Gloria’s greenhouse and gardens on-site, and having all of the food and beverages taken care of through the venue’s catering and bar team. But what made us decide to book this venue for our special day was the attention that Gloria and Emma give each couple. This venue is not your typical wedding factory that puts on weddings multiple times a week, every week of the year; Gloria and Emma host between 12-15 weddings per year and consequently each couple they work with gets full access to the venue the weekend of their wedding and so much guidance during the planning process. We were able to cultivate a vegetarian menu consisting of so many of our favorite foods plus a number of signature dishes of the venue, such as a butternut squash galette that was a crowd favorite. Sustainability is also incredibly important to us as a couple, and Gloria and Emma are committed to sourcing only local, seasonal ingredients for the food and florals and minimizing waste, which meant so much to us. In terms of decor and furnishings, the venue has so much available for couples to use, such as tables, chairs, ceremony benches, several wedding arches to choose from, displays for food or guest favors, tableware, candles, string lights, and more. We did not have to rent or coordinate anything other than the few DIY projects we made, which Gloria and Emma effortlessly integrated into the set up for us. Being able to take care of practically everything through Gloria and Emma made planning so much simpler. On the wedding day, Gloria, Emma, and their team handled the venue set up in a few hours, which happened like a choreographed dance that required practically no work from us or our wedding parties other than providing input and approval along the way. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were able to be fully present. After our ceremony, my husband and I returned to the house, where Gloria had set up champagne and a spread of our hors d'oeuvres for us to enjoy over a few minutes of privacy, which is something she had recommended we do as we took in the moment together. Our guests have had nothing but positive things to say about our wedding and it was clear the day of how much fun everyone had. We have received so many compliments about how beautiful and authentic the venue was, how exquisite Gloria’s floral arrangements were, how delicious all of the food was (even the heavy meat-eaters loved the vegetarian menu), and how this will be a wedding they will always remember. Gloria made us feel like part of her family and we were so happy to be able to support her business. We truly could not have asked for a more memorable, personalized, loving, and beautiful wedding, and hope that many other couples have the pleasure of getting married at this special place.
