I love hiking with my husband, martial arts, playing music & singing, I'm crazy about animals, I'm absolutely fascinated by linguistics & other cultures...oh & [thanks to my hubby] I'm super nerdy (you'll see me rolling around in my limited edition Iron Man Hyundai, haha), so if you're into Star Wars, superheroes, etc., I'm sure we will get along just fine ;). I'm Shenna, the owner and lead photographer of SHair Photography! Portrait photography was my first love, then I fell in love with wedding photography! I'm a Baltimore native, lover of all shades of purple and all things coffee and ice cream! What does that have to do with your portraits and wedding photos, you ask? Well, I love photographing those too!

Passion is what drives me in photography and real people and real moments evoke that passion. I yearn to connect with people I work with on a personal level. When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
