There are so many pretty photo backdrops in every season! Having a beautiful, dog-friendly hotel on site so the wedding parties and family can gather and celebrate together is another amazing bonus that helps the day run seamlessly! For couples seeking a truly personalized ceremony and reception, I can't recommend the Olde Mill highly enough. “We had our wedding on 6-6-26 at Magnolia and I can say it was an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable experience. Firstly, the venue is gorgeous. The wedding space overlooks the confluence of two streams so you hear the sound of babbling water all throughout the resort and it feels so unique and magical to do your vows in such a wonderful display of nature. Second, I must say that the staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect and our guests feel at home. Special shout out to Angela at the front desk who was so accommodating and friendly and all the service staff was kind and helpful. Like any Poconos day the weather can turn on a dime and it did for us going from clear to torrential downpour for cocktail hour but the staff pivoted perfectly and the pavilion kept everyone dry and happy. The rain did lead to a spectacular sunset and while I can't say Magnolia did it I can say that the resort was so beautiful it lead to some of the most spectacular pictures of the night and the resort makes an amazing backdrop. Also the food was incredible, we did both our rehearsal and reception and both nights everything was cooked perfectly (SO to Chef Tom). Finally I need to talk about their wedding coordinator Cheyenne. She goes above and beyond what I was expecting and is just the nicest person. We worked with her for almost 2 years and she always started every call catching up and she truly got to know us personally as we got to know her. Her vendor recommendations were fantastic and on the weekend of the wedding she was there to answer any question and solve any problem. She did this while 6 months pregnant by the way so she's able to handle anything no matter the situation. I can go on and on about how amazing this place is and say that it truly is a gem of venue in the Poconos and made our wedding magical.”

The food was absolutely incredible, and we loved being able to head straight to the hotel restaurant bar afterward to keep the party going. “The whole team at The Albion really made our wedding dreams come to life - they are the absolute best and so much fun to work with. Deidre and Jennifer were kind and genuinely excited about every idea I brought to them during the planning process. Deidre, the manager, is so organized and thoughtful; from our very first tour, she made the entire timeline feel seamless. And as a type A bride, I had many questions lol Our guests are still raving about the food, the venue itself, and about how much fun the day was - The Albion knows how to throw a BANGER!!! The hotel is stunning and gave us the perfect non-traditional backdrop we were looking for. It was such a perk to have everything including ceremony, reception and after party all in the same location so no one had to worry about transportation, too. Kevin, the maître d’, and the entire day-of team were so on top of every detail. They had all of our decor and personal items packed up neatly and exactly as they came in, which we appreciated so much. And most memorably, Jennifer was right there for the nerve wracking moment before we walked down the aisle — so calming, so supportive, and so clearly passionate about what she does. Overall, our day was everything we wanted: the most special ceremony followed by the most lit dance party ever. We could not imagine a better venue or better people!!”

“We held our wedding reception at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in November 2024 as well as hosted our wedding room block. We'd highly recommend for both! We have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about Andreea Denes with catering. We've worked with Andreea for about a year and a half now and she feels like family! Andreea is both professional and personable and ensured we knew all our options for a reception at the Loews. Andreea helped us take advantage of all the amazing event spaces the Loews has to offer (cocktail hour on the 33rd floor, reception in the Millennium Hall, after party in Bank & Bourbon) as well as created a custom package for our reception and cocktail hour that reflected everything we could have wanted. Maria and Lena with the room reservation teams were so wonderful to work with, taking amazing care of our families and accommodating all our changes and requests. The entire Loews staff (catering, concierge, front desk, etc) was absolutely wonderful during our stay. Our guests are still commenting on the exceptional service. About a third of our wedding guests stayed at the Loews and expressed it was the perfect location to spend the weekend exploring Philadelphia.”

“The Hotel Palomar went above and beyond for our wedding weekend in the spring. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and morning after brunch as well as our room block at the hotel. The even coordinator, Erin S. and the entire team involved went above and beyond every step of the way. Five months before our wedding, I had to have major surgery and quarantine for two – three months after. I was unable to attend our food tasting but my fiancé and both sets of parents went on my behalf. Erin was not only understanding but supportive as my own family and friends were – checking in and celebrating with me after the surgery. When the tasting came, the chef sent home full-sized portions for me to try at home. This was in addition to the full-sized ones my family tried as well. The entire staff was there to answer any questions from me or our family. We had several dietary restrictions which Erin coordinated with the chef on our behalf to make sure those guests were included without having to worry. We had a memorial table as well as several things to be set out (guest book, favors, name cards, etc.). I gave all these items to the team and it was fully taken care of for me and they even knew which favors were to be for gluten free guests. Erin provided a list of pre-approved vendors they had worked with before (we didn’t have to use these) and we ended up using a lot of them. Erin coordinated with them directly as needed, photography locations for if it rained and DJ timeline. Due to the top tier efforts of the entire hotel, we were AHEAD of schedule the entire weekend which really allowed everyone to be fully present. My bridal party and I were in the suite for preparations and they continued to go above and beyond. We had a team member bring us our food and coffee order and he was so accommodating. He brought iced coffee when I mentioned that’s my preferences and we talked about our pets since I had my dog with me (as did several of our guests). Our guests were also well taken care of – from unpacking cars for their stays to helping our vendors get to their locations. I would sit here and list every name of every person that I felt were stars but honestly, it was the entire team. Everyone I encountered the whole time was a five star person. I cannot recommend this location enough for any occasion including just a regular weekend stay in Philadelphia.”

“We held our September 2025 wedding reception at The Rittenhouse. The food was excellent, the space looked beautiful, and the service on the wedding day was wonderful. Our dedicated server was spectacular both during our tasting and at the reception—attentive, warm, and one of the true standouts of our experience. The planning process was more challenging. Even after Jarret and I specifically asked to be included directly in decisions, communication often continued through our planner. This was especially frustrating because our planner was not providing the level of attentiveness promised, making direct communication with the venue even more important. We were also supposed to meet with the pastry team, but that meeting never happened. Although the cake tasted good, its appearance fell short of what we envisioned and felt like an afterthought in the overall design. After the wedding, aside from a congratulatory email that included our paid folios, no one meaningfully followed up to ask about our experience or invite feedback. Given the level of the event and The Rittenhouse’s reputation for luxury hospitality, we found that surprising. Overall, the culinary and banquet teams delivered an excellent reception, and our guests were very well cared for. We are grateful for the beautiful celebration, while believing the communication, pastry-design process, and post-event follow-up could have been much stronger.”

“The Warwick Hotel is an historic Philadelphia landmark that combines both an incredible location right off of Rittenhouse Square and picturesque architecture and design making it an ideal spot of weddings and other events. David Lyons, the Banquet Manager, is the definition of "not all heroes wear capes." Our story is unique in that our original wedding venue flooded three days before our party. In a frenzy, we called every venue we could find. When my wife spoke with David, he was calm and collected, got our information, and promptly looked into hosting our event. When he called us back saying it was possible, we went to see the space. He put together an estimate before we arrived and we signed on the spot after a brief tour. David has tons of experience with weddings and events and his confidence to put on our party in such a short turn around gave us the calm we needed to enjoy our special day. He even matched a lot of the original food options we were offering at our original venue. The landmarks nearby offer a variety of nice backdrops not to mention the space itself for fun photos. The main ballroom is a great size for a large band, great size dance floor, food stations or a sit down meal and a large guest list. As the bride and groom we were also given a complimentary stay in the presidential suite! A much needed rest after the stress and excitement leading up to our event. We had an emergency and David put out the fire and went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly. I can't say thank you enough to David and the staff at the Warwick for saving our wedding party!”

“First and foremost I have to recognize the staff who worked the event at the hotel. Katrina, who is the event coordinator, was wonderfully communicative and detail oriented. We wanted to keep things relatively simple for our wedding but she had some great ideas to spruce things up a bit and helped to keep us on track leading up to the day of. The evening prior and on the day she was helping us set things up and made sure to keep our chaotic group on schedule. Not only that she was extremely helpful in managing the group, helping to cue and time our processions and intros into the dining room after the ceremony. She also added a personal touch to the centerpieces by arranging some fresh flowers we'd brought in and I thought the result was lovely. As important as Katrina were all of the wait staff and bartenders for our wedding. Jordan, Dawn and Dinnea took care of dinner service and Doug and Debbie tended the bar. We interacted with Jordan, Doug and Debbie the most but we've spoken to friends and family who agreed that the service was excellent. I want to call out Jordan specifically because that dude was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed from drinks to food. On top of all of that he was just one of the most pleasant and kind humans we could have asked for to take care of us that day. We'd also like to extend a big thank you to the whole group as we had some late arrivals who came in during dinner time. The staff immediately noticed and without any fuss went over to get their order and get them served. We had opted for a Delmonico steak and salmon as our primary entrees. Note that because of the volume of guests the Delmonicos were all cooked to somewhere around medium. I can't vouch for everyone's steak but mine came out perfectly medium. As far as I can tell from catching up with friends and family during and after the wedding everyone was pleased and really enjoyed their meals. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere that was created. We ended up choosing the Orchid(?) package, if I recall the name correctly, which is their all inclusive package and I think it was worth every penny. I really enjoyed the up lighting and hotel provided centerpieces but I can see how if you have a different vision in mind then you may want to opt for a different offering. On top of the work they did in the space the hotel has a couple of outdoor seating areas, one of which has a fire pit, that were favorites of the group to take breaks from the party rocking inside. Ultimately the most important part of our wedding day was to unite our friends and family in one place where we could party and then not have to worry about transferring from the reception venue back to the hotel. As far as we're concerned Katrina and her staff delivered on this want magnificently. From the maintenance of the hotel and event space, to the friendly and thoughtful staff, to the convenient location for our friends and family; we could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding day.”
