“My husband and I decided to have a very intimate wedding on Mackinac Island with just immediate family. We had about 6 weeks in total of planning and my ability to find a photographer on the island was not fruitful. I actually found Kristin on a Facebook page for elopements and emailed for time to call. We had a FaceTime call within a couple days and at that time I had 2 locations we were looking into. Kristin was very understanding given that a location had not fully been secured but once we decided on the day and place (Wings of Mackinac Butterfly House) she was able to help us bring our wedding day and photo ideas into life m. She took both digital and film photos that were stunning and were just the icing on the proverbial cake (we actually got ice cream cones as our wedding dessert)! Kristin has always held fantastic communication leading up to our special day and has always gone the extra mile to assist in anything we needed. Since our wedding, she has also taken beautiful newborn and family photos for us and we cannot be happier with the outcomes! “Where do I start with Lacie and Tim?!? Lacie was the first vendor I booked and for a good reason, it took one call and that was it - I knew she would be perfect for our wedding day. My husband and I have always been photo-shy and have often took awkward photos, and had a fear this would happen during our wedding day. There was never a moment that Lacie did not know what to do or what to suggest. We never had to think about it. What I believe contributes to Lacie's photo magic is she is an amazing person, incredibly easy to talk to and a joy to be around, and makes you feel confident and comfortable - we realized during photos it was like we were gabbing and being around one of our friends, and this distracted us from the fact and anxiety that we were actually taking a photo. Not only did this make taking photos fun, but it captured a lot of great candid moments and the photos felt natural and not overly staged. On wedding day, they were on top of it - timely, organized, and efficient. They were also incredibly supportive while we were both pretty anxious. They also give your sneak peaks freaky fast. “We planned our wedding from all the way across the country (Florida to California) so we already had challenges. She was amazing working with both of our crazy families and from the very beginning I knew that she’d do a great job capturing the special moments of our special day. She worked with everyone and did a great job explaining what everyone needed to do to get a perfect shot. She also was absolutely wonderful with our 2 year old son who would’ve climbed in the car and went home with her if he could.
