I am Dolores McConnell, owner and lead planner at You So Fancy Events. I am a Wedding MBA Certified Wedding Planner and have been in the special events/wedding industry for over 19 years. My experience ranges from small family weddings to large community festivals with up to 10,000 attendees.

I am no regular “fancy” wedding planner. I specializes in helping the DIY couple bring their wedding to life and stay within budget. I believe that every couple should e able to enjoy the wedding they worked so hard to plan, and I can help make that happen!

You have a venue, the vendors are booked, but now you need just a little help to put the rest of your event together and have someone manage things on the day of.

For those of you who have already done all the planning, but just need help on the day of your event to make sure everything goes smooth so you can enjoy the day! We will start meeting a month before your event to make sure we have a clear understanding of what you want and manage the day to make sure all those small details come to life!

    We could not have asked for anyone better! Dolores was very professional, reliable, and understanding! She made our wedding day smooth and organized. Dolores always checked in with us leading up to and during the wedding. Stop looking for other wedding day of coordinators and book You So Fancy Events! Totally worth it!

    Dolores was phenonemal! We had an outdoor wedding reception, and the venue only supplied the tables. Dolores and her crew did an outstanding job in setting up our guest tables, favor tables, cake table, gift table, candy table, and sign in Jenga table. We also had additional favors such as fans, heal savers, dancing shoes (flip flops), pashminas, and she set everything out just as we had envisioned it. If something went wrong, we had the confidence in her to make a decision to fix it, and she did. As weddings go, not everything goes as planned. It was a windy day, and our tall floral centerpieces were tipping over. She sent one of her team to go buy decorative rocks to hopefully stabilize the arrangements, but that didn't work. She then made a decision and rearranged the floral set up and it turned out beautifully. She did an exceptional job in coordinating with the other vendors, and our wedding reception turned out just as we dreamed of thanks to Dolores and her team. She's very easy to work with, she's fun, diligent in her work and when we have another big event, we are definitely hiring her again.

    Omg!… Where to begin?… Dolores was such a breath of fresh air!… I was so overwhelmed with planning and deciding on what goes with what.. I had an idea of what I wanted, but needed someone to help me execute my vision and plans… Let me tell you!… DOLORES DELIVERED!… I had no idea on how I wanted my head table or dessert table to look. I left it all in her hands. The day of my wedding I was Blown Away!!! She definitely exceeded my expectations!… I was so in LOVE with how everything turned out. I was just mesmerized and in awe that my dream had finally become a reality.

    We booked You So Fancy Events, and it was, by far, the best decision we made in terms of our wedding. We used the "Just Boss People Around" package and Dolores was very accommodating to our day-of needs. She highlighted things we hadn't thought of, helped us book additional staffing, and found an affordable service for us to rent party supplies. Dolores and her team took care of everything which truly let us sit back and enjoy our day. She was professional and handled any hiccups throughout the day; we couldn't have done it without her. Out of all the money that we spent on our wedding, You So Fancy Events was the best investment we made to truly make our day memorable and spectacular. We love you, Dolores!!
