My name is Rachel and I am the lead floral designer of Velvet Blooms. After studying music with an emphasis in vocals, I began to rethink what my creative path would be. With mentors such as Laura Williams of Poppy Hill Flowers and good friend Kelsea Olivia Gaynor of East Olivia, I began my journey into floral design and never looked back!
My style is deeply rooted in color and texture with a natural edge that is perfect for any eclectic couple or large scale event. Unlike the cut and paste design, I have honed my creative style to build vibrant arrangements centered around a simple mantra; find your voice and let it bloom.

Preferred vendors of Velvet Blooms
We have a $6,000 minimum for any full service weddings before tax and service fees. Currently, we are offering elopement and A La Carte packages for a limited time that have lower minimums.
Yes, we can add mockups upon request for a fee. After the contract is signed, we can provide one mockup, typically a table centerpiece. We prefer to create this between 30 and 60 days before the wedding to take into account seasonal flowers and time to make adjustments before the final proposal and vendor commitments are due.
Yes! We offer a variety of rentals for an additional cost from candelabras, arches, candles and more. Get in touch to see our full list.
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception.
We offer delivery, setup, and breakdown services for all full scale weddings. Standard fee starting at $600 for local weddings in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Additional fee for outside that radius based on location. This fee covers transportation, gas and labor for breakdown.
