Well-Dressed Events is a full-service wedding planning studio based in Jersey City, New Jersey and Wilmington, North Carolina. We plan stylish, personal weddings throughout New Jersey, New York, and across North Carolina, including coastal and estate-level destinations. Our clients are busy, design-aware, and ready for a planning process that actually works. Every couple is matched with a dedicated lead planner from day one, supported by a full in-house team working behind the scenes to keep everything clear, organized, and moving forward.

We exclusively offer full-service planning, delivered through three flexible experiences. The Full Edit is comprehensive, start-to-finish planning. The Select allows you to stay involved with structure and expert support. The Capsule is designed for couples marrying at all-inclusive venues in New Jersey and New York. Design is included in every experience, with thoughtful add-ons available for clients who want deeper creative support. It’s planning that adapts to you, not the other way around.

We offer three full-service planning experiences: one for couples who want us to lead the entire process, one for those who prefer to stay involved with structure and support, and one designed for venue-led weddings that need smart planning up front. All include timelines, vendor management, and design support, so your day feels personal, polished, and exceptionally well-run.

Design is included in every package—help refining your vision, reviewing creative proposals, and connecting you with vendors who fit. But for couples who want a more hands-on approach, we offer a design add-on. It includes a custom vision board, rental and decor sourcing, and creative direction across all the visual details. We’ll help shape the look, name the vibe, and keep everything cohesive from start to finish.

    SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

    Well-Dressed Events is SIMPLY THE BEST! Kristen was our planner for our wedding and I could cry over how amazing she is! The venue we chose was a blank canvas and we had to bring in everything ourselves, which was super daunting. Kristen was with us every step of the way, and really shined on the day of the wedding especially. She is just so much fun to work with, super helpful and attentive and just an all around pro. She took care of everything for me and accommodated even our craziest of requests. I love her to pieces! I can not recommend getting a planner enough, it is sooo worth it, and 100/100 recommend Well-Dressed Events : )

    Kristen and the Well-Dressed events team was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! They should be at the top of your list when looking at wedding planners! The first time I talked with Kristen I felt like I had just made a new best friend. Kristen was there every step of the way to help and alleviate any stress we had! Kristen helped me make decision that would have otherwise be impossible for me! She gave recommendations, advice and her expertise to help make our wedding dreams come true! Our wedding day went so smoothly because of her! Kristen and WDE team were there from start to finish and they took care of everything! Every client gets a custom planning roadmap, full-day on-site production, vendor coordination, design support, and personalized communication from start to finish. You’ll have a dedicated lead planner, access via email, text, and voice memo, and a process built to match your pace. Whether you want a fully guided experience or just a trusted co-pilot, both packages give you clarity, structure, and support through every step.
All three are full-service planning experiences. The Full Edit is for clients who want us to lead from day one. The Select is for clients who want to stay involved in key areas while we handle structure and execution. The Capsule (NJ + NY only) is for couples getting married at full-service venues—we handle the planning, then hand off for day-of. Same polish, same peace of mind. Just different levels of “please take this off my plate.”
You're always the decision-maker, we just make those decisions easier. With The Full Edit, we lead the process and bring you curated options to approve. The Select gives you more control in the areas you care about, with structure and support behind the scenes. The Capsule (NJ + NY only) is great if your venue handles execution. You’ll still get full planning help, then we hand off. Either way, you stay informed and in charge, without carrying the whole thing.
We typically book 12–18 months out for weddings and 10–12 months for other events. If you’re even thinking about hiring a planner, it’s worth reaching out now. We’ll walk you through your options, answer questions, and hold your hand through the decision if you need it. Early contact = better planning and less stress later.
You already know what looks good. Our role is to understand your style, help you refine the vision, and connect you with the right creative vendors to bring it to life. No upsells, no pressure, no forcing you to pick between ivory and ecru (unless you just found out you’re an autumn...then, ecru, obviously). We make sure your event feels as good as it looks. Beautiful doesn’t matter if it doesn’t run well. We deliver both.
We plan weddings, mitzvahs, milestone celebrations, and corporate events across NJ, NY and NC. We also handle rehearsal dinners, after-parties, welcome events—if it’s part of your celebration weekend or needs structure and style, we’re in.

Totally fine. Many of our clients come to us mid-way through planning. Whether you’ve booked a few vendors or haven’t started at all, we’ll meet you where you are, assess what’s been done, and build a strategy to carry it through. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just the right team to figure it out with.
