Hi all! I'm Janna! I am so excited to share the amazing experience of what is one of THE most important days of your life! I can offer over 14 years of professional hair design and makeup artistry! I attended Paul Mitchell, The School and graduated Phase II in 2008. I then attended the Toni & Guy Advanced Academy for Hairdressers in 2014 and earned a specialization in special occasion styling, bridal styling, and makeup artistry for print and editorial work. I serve all over New England and travel on-site to my brides to ensure their wedding morning is seamless and leaves amazing memories!

Beyond extensive experience and expertise within the industry, I pride myself on timeliness, communication and professionalism. I remember planning a wedding and how stressful it could be due to the vendors! My goal is to create a seamlessly amazing experience from the first inquiry to the last touch up- you don't need to worry about anything but walking down that aisle!

JW Artistry was an absolute pleasure to work with for my wedding day beauty needs. From our very first interaction, the team was incredibly professional and helpful, guiding me through the process and making sure I felt prepared and confident. On the day of, their work was simply beautiful - the hair and makeup they did for me and my bridal party was stunning and lasted all evening. Beyond their talent, the JW Artistry team was also so kind and calming, which was invaluable in keeping me relaxed on a busy wedding day. I cannot recommend them highly enough to any couple looking for top-notch beauty services with a personalized, caring touch.

I communicated with Janna via email. Her assistant, Angela, gave misinformation on several occasions. 1. Location of their business, I ended up 30 min away on the day of my trial. 2. Cost for flower girl glam (PS - it’s included). 3. Doesn’t confirm any possible mistakes or inconsistencies with #’s. For example, reported the number for hair and makeup 15 times. I misspoke ONE of those 15 times and that’s what she held on to for “final” numbers and (what ends up being) the final cost. Janna rectified it but… honestly Janna is making more work for herself with Angela I think. I did two trials. The first I made mistakes (had mom/sister there, had to rush out). The make up felt light and very comfortable on my skin, it looked natural, but did not feel “bridal”. I did not like my hair at all. I also got a spray tan, wore white, and brought my skin care which she didn’t look at/use. Although I didn’t have the guts to say it in the moment, I ultimately emailed her and did a second trial. The second was somewhat better. Did not like the hair, again. Make up was better but did not feel it was blended well. I wore it “out” to dinner and a sporting event. It didn’t last. Neither did my curls. Honestly, I tried securing another artist for my event but was unable to do so and get a trial in before the contract required. Ultimately, I trialed my make up myself and was able to figure out more clearly what I didn’t like. Day of, I went with hair I’d washed the day before with dry shampoo instead of clean day 1 hair like she recommended. I trialed this independently before and knew this worked better for my hair. The two trials I did, I went with freshly clean hair. I did my skin care before I got in the chair. I will say, she used products I use for my own makeup so I knew my skin wouldn’t react and how it would sit overtop. I also trialed various lash styles before my wedding as I didn’t like any of the options she had at either trial and provided those. I told her a few minor adjustments - eyebrows thinner, use my own faux lashes provided, blush color, hair part differences and minor tweaks, told her my curls hadn’t held either time. At the end, gave pointed critiques for the silhouette of my hair even, and ultimately she nailed it. I was VERY happy with the final product. I just wish either I had a better idea of how to offer those changes or had that final product so I wasn’t so scared for the day of. Her teammate Kimberly was very sweet. She did the majority of my wedding parties hair (not mine or my moms - my mom didn’t get hair done). And honestly, I was not impressed. Everyone’s hair fell out before others were done being ready. She happily fixed everyone’s, but that wasn’t a great feeling considering they’d literally been sitting down waiting for others to be done - hadn’t changed yet, hadn’t danced, done photos, nothing. Again, ultimately they were happy with the final product (and if they weren’t they didn’t tell me), and I thought they all looked beautiful. So, ultimately if I could do it over, I’d have trialed things independently so I could better explain what I want. I would’ve done a third and final trial to feel less anxious about going into the big day. I wouldn’t have been shy about how I felt in the moment.

The team at JW Artistry was fantastic to work with for my wedding day beauty needs. They were communicative, accommodating, and very responsive throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was high and they were fairly priced and flexible. I got several quotes from local artists and JW was the most reasonable, which was important to me as someone covering the costs for the group. The group of artists did a great job catering to the diverse hair types and skin tones of my bridal party, ensuring that everyone looked and felt beautiful. They were also receptive to feedback when one of my bridesmaids didn't love her initial look, and they quickly fixed it without any complaint. I'd highly recommend JW Artistry to any couple planning their wedding!

Janna was the best ever!!! I ended up changing my vision for my hair after my trial and she knocked it out of the park. On top of that, I was wildly unwell the morning of and she was so patient and kind to me and it helped tremendously! Best ever, recommend 10/10.
