Hi. I am Veronica! I grew up on California's Central Coast. I spent my time enjoying the beaches and hills of Santa Barbara County, which undoubtedly shaped my style today. I am inspired by all of the beauty California has to offer, so I moved down the coast to San Diego to attend University. Working in hospitality, I began laying the foundation for what is now Type A Soiree. I've loved getting the opportunity to work for some of the top rental and event planning companies in San Diego, as well as running events at Del Mar Race track, prior to launching Type A Soiree.

I have been working in, and exploring all San Diego has to offer for almost two decades. I continue to find the best venues and vendors for your perfect soiree. With Type A Soiree's expertise in planning and design, we also love destination events, and the welcomed new adventure it brings.

    She's Type A (so we don't have to be!)

    Veronica is the wedding-planning equivalent of having the world's most capable big sister by your side—someone who is deeply invested in your success, always looking out for you, and somehow manages to keep everything moving forward without adding stress. From the very beginning, Veronica demonstrated an incredible ability to understand our vision and intuitively grasp what we wanted our wedding to feel like. She has a remarkable talent for translating ideas into reality while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Throughout the planning process, she provided thoughtful recommendations for trusted vendors who aligned with our style, priorities, and budget. She further served as the central hub for coordinating vendors, logistics, timelines, and countless moving pieces. What impressed me most was Veronica's ability to execute. Planning is one thing; delivering the final product flawlessly is another. She made sure that every detail, every vendor, and every transition came together exactly as intended, creating a wedding day that felt effortless from our perspective. On top of orchestrating our day of activities, Veronica personally checked in to make sure we were hydrated, fed, and taking care of ourselves throughout the day. Those small acts of care made a tremendous difference and reflected how genuinely invested she was in our experience. A special thank-you to her team (Allegra Pompeo and Vanessa Torres), who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every element on our big day came together seamlessly. As a fellow Type A personality, I am not someone who easily relinquishes control. Yet Veronica earned my complete trust. Because of her and her team, I was able to be fully present and genuinely relaxed on my wedding day (I joked that I'm on vacation at the wedding, all day!) —and this was something I honestly wasn't sure would be possible. Looking back, one of the greatest gifts Veronica gave us was peace of mind. Knowing she was managing everything behind the scenes allowed us to simply enjoy one of the most important days of our lives. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance, expertise, and support throughout the entire journey, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner!

We have been planning weddings as a company for ten years, but the owner has been in the industry for 18, and worked in a number of capacities prior to launching Type A Soiree. No two weddings, and no two clients are exactly alike, so it is our mission to tell your love story, through the unique and special details of your day. By the end of our planning process, you'll feel like you have a friend, and confidante. We are there for you, because you don't know, what you don't know!
We can plan your wedding, and you can have us for the surrounding events. Our team has tackled thousands of events, and each is special and unique in its own way.
Depending on the package you chose, we may just become besties! Our full service package means we will likely be spending a significant amount of time, creating and communicating together. On the other hand, our final details package, we won't be chatting much until the last five weeks before your big day.
We never take more than one wedding a day. Because we do have a team of planners, we may have more than one wedding a weekend, but it is a rare occasion.
We do have a team! This means you get more support in your planning process. With this, it also means that depending on the package you chose, we will find the right team member that is the best fit for you!
