Hi, I’m Layla — founder of The Day-of, LLC. My love for this work started behind the scenes at private venues and country clubs, where I learned how events are built from the ground up — the vendor relationships, the floor plans, the timelines, the hundred small decisions that determine whether a wedding day runs smoothly or doesn’t. That experience eventually led me to the coordinator’s side, where I could bring that same operational foundation directly to couples. Having worked as both a venue-side events director and an independent coordinator, I understand what venues expect, how vendors operate, and where things fall apart.
I bring to your day a planner’s eye for the guest moments that matter, an operator’s instinct for what can quietly go sideways, and the discipline to have a plan for both. Most coordinators come from one side or the other—I work both, every week. That means I’m not just running your timeline; I’m reading the room, anticipating the hiccup before it lands, and protecting the moments you’ll actually remember.

Calm and Ready in the Storm
Layla was exactly what we were looking for as a couple that handled most of the planning ourselves. She helped us frame up our timeline and asked all the important questions we never would have thought of well ahead of time and gave fun suggestions/alternatives for our not-very-traditional wedding. Layla did a great job coordinating our vendors and making sure everyone knew what they had to do when. I felt so reassured by her calm presence guiding us throughout the day. I would recommend her to any couple looking for a solid coordinator!
