    Failed Services and Disappeared on our wedding

    I hired Erin Kilroy of Your Day with EK for my June 2026 wedding and paid 3,090 for full coordination services. Unfortunately, the vendor management, timeline execution, and wedding-day coordination that were promised never happened. I ended up managing everything myself along with my family, which defeated the purpose of hiring a planner. Before and after the wedding, my attempts to reach Erin went unanswered, and my formal refund request was ignored. For the price and the services I did not receive, I cannot recommend Your Day with EK to other couples.

    Unreachable, abandoned our wedding, unprofessional

    We hired Erin to provide wedding coordination services for our wedding on June 12, 2026 in Chicago, IL. Per our contract Erin was supposed to manage vendor coordination for 3 - 4 months before our wedding, attend the final walk through of the wedding space, respond to inquires within 48 hours, and provide up to 12 hours service the day of the wedding to coordinate the ceremony, set-up and take down of personal items including table numbers and an honor table. Erin sent a text 9 minutes before our final walk thru letting us know she was unable to make it. She didn't respond to or reach out to any vendors with the exception she sent one email to our florist asking for a PDF of our contract. She was too busy having personal conversations with her assistant before and during our ceremony, so my mom had to ask her to set-up the personal items (tying four bows to chairs) and one of our groomsmen had to go and find our guests and bring them to the ceremony space. She was at our wedding for six hours max and left with out notice three hours before our wedding ended. This forced one of our moms and friends to leave our reception early to clean up and put away our personal items. Erin was unreachable for the two weeks prior to our wedding and didn't respond to any texts or emails. She did send an email the day before our wedding letting us know she was getting our text, but people weren't receiving the texts she sent. We did reach out to Erin to resolve these issues and requested a partial refund and never received a response.

    Love working with Erin!

    Erin is an amazing wedding planner to work with! As a fellow wedding vendor, she makes the entire wedding planning process so easy and is on top of her communication! Day of, she is professional and willing to do whatever it takes to make your day go by smoothly and beautifully! Highly recommend Erin!

    Hire Erin!

    We used Erin's wedding management services and can confidently say it was some of the best money spent for our wedding! Erin was great at communicating throughout the entire process and her expertise was invaluable in the months leading up to our wedding day. The actual day was seamless thanks to Erin and her team and we both agreed there is no way the wedding planning process would've gone so smoothly without her. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Erin was on top of things and she was always responsive to us and our entire vendor team. I never felt like any question or request was out of her scope and she was overall such a great person to work with. We would highly recommend using Your Day with EK to anyone considering a wedding planner or day-of coordinator!

As of 2025, Erin is the owner and lead planner at Your Day with EK. She has a small team of lead-coordinators and assistants to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Absolutely not! In order to give our clients the attention they deserve, we only work with one couple per weekend.
