I teach wedding dance in a completely private studio—no one else around—so you can relax, laugh, and be yourselves. Every couple arrives nervous and leaves confident. My goal is to make your first dance simple, joyful, and true to your personality. I create an atmosphere that’s warm, fun, and pressure-free, where movement grows naturally from your connection. You’ll feel at ease, prepared, and excited for the moment when all eyes are on you. It’s about authenticity, not perfection—a memory that feels real and completely yours.

What sets me apart is how efficiently and personally I work. In just 2–4 lessons, we create your dance and capture each session on personalized video so you can practice at home. That’s how we minimize lessons and maximize results. I don’t teach stiff choreography; I teach a language—lead and follow—so you can dance together comfortably for life, not just one night. Every lesson is creative, safe, and empowering, blending artistry and empathy to make the process fun, freeing, and lasting.

    If You Want a Fun Dancing Teacher

    Sandro was such a fun, exciting dance instructor for our wedding dance. I was initially reluctant to take dance lessons because I’ve never taken a class like this before. But my anxieties dissipated the moment we started our lessons with Sandro. He offers private lessons in a studio in midtown so there’s ample space and privacy. We showed him a few song options we were considering and he immediately clocked what might work or not with each song so we were able to pick one out with his advice. He prepared a dance for us based on our personalities, our skill level, and then we spent the next three/four lessons learning our moves and then learning to dance with each other. Sandro is an infectious presence -- he’s charming and funny and helps you build confidence and believes in your ability to dance. I looked forward to dance lessons with him each time. And he built a routine that worked so well with our song and we were so excited to show him our dance video after the wedding. Our guests were in awe of our performance, not because we were so talented, but because they could tell how much we’d practiced and how much fun we had. Sandro’s choreography really helped highlight our relationship with each other. Wedding is over, but now we’re booking salsa lessons with him next because he’s taught us to move our bodies and love to dance!

    Best first dance teacher

    We came to our first lesson with Sandro having never taken a formal dance class. He immediately met us where we were, listened to what we wanted, and in just four lessons choreographed a first dance that felt completely authentic to us - and ended up being a huge hit at our wedding. Beyond being an exceptional teacher, Sandro is hilarious, encouraging, and genuinely invested in his students. He made every lesson something we looked forward to.     The best wedding dance instructor !

    We booked I Know You Can Dance for our first dance lessons and couldn't have been happier with our choice. From the start, the instructor was responsive to our needs and made us feel totally comfortable, even though we were nervous about learning. During practice, he sprinkled in quick jokes that kept things light and fun instead of stressful, and when we performed our dance on the big day, those jokes actually helped us remember the steps! His thoughtful approach and positive energy made the whole experience feel special, and he genuinely cared about making sure we felt confident.     Sandro is a Genius!

    Sandro is amazing!  My fiancée got ACL surgery six weeks before our wedding and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to have a first dance. Sandro created a custom choreography that was easy on her knee while maximizing the effect. We’re thrilled with the result! Sandro also made the process so easy and fun! We feel that even beyond the wedding these lessons will serve us on many dance floors in the future.  Thank you, Sandro!

    Highly recommend!!

    Sandro made our dance lessons so fun. Neither of us are very coordinated but he was patient, funny, and truly made the lessons enjoyable. He also didn't try to push a package or lock us into more classes than we needed which we really appreciate. Highly recommend!!

In a private Midtown Manhattan studio — 939 8th Avenue, entirely yours for each session. Privacy is essential; it lets you learn freely, make mistakes, and grow without anyone watching.
I read people quickly. I don’t waste time watching you struggle — I guide, simplify, and give you tools that work. I use humor, clarity, and empathy. You’ll learn the language of lead and follow, which is about trust, not gender.

You can absolutely continue if you wish, but most couples don’t need to. If you do, I offer a reduced rate after your third session.
