The Afterparty is a well-rehearsed and polished show band. Not your typical average wedding band, and not your corporate franchised (throw together random players for the gig) band either. Tristin & Jeff are not only co-owners and operators of the band, but they are also full-time players in the band. They work with their clients one-on-one step-by-step to ensure every detail is taken care of and the event goes off without a hitch!

    The best choice if you want engaged guests!

    The Afterparty Band and their Duo was one of the best choices we made for our wedding of 100 people! The Duo also set a great ambiance to our outdoor Cocktail Hour. Now, our guests are still talking about how much fun they had dancing and singing along with the band all night. We loved the visuals with lighting, dancing, costume changes, and props. My husband and I couldn’t find time to leave the dance floor because their compilations just flow from one to the next. At first I thought our party would be too small for an 8-piece band at the reception, but they were the perfect addition to build up the crowd and keep everyone together on the dance floor. They even came into the crowd to sing and play instruments to stir up enthusiasm. My only regret was not having more time to chat with our guests for longer because we simply couldn’t peel ourselves off the dance floor. Tristan and Jeff are so responsive, and they were able to work with both me and my wedding coordinators directly to take some of the logistics off my plate. It was also very fun working with the band for all requests. They learned our first dance song so quickly and even sent me a sample of a shortened version of the song to practice to with my husband. They are a wonderful band for any kind of event, large or small, that you want your guests dancing all night with happy hearts.

    Hey Hannah! We are so happy reading every inch of this review! We honestly had so much fun with you guys. I think it was perfect. With the orientation, size of the room, and number of guests, it was much more intimate, and that made it really fun and more of an exchange of good vibes between us and your guests. We felt way more connected to y'all, and that doesn't always happen. My husband Jeff and I really enjoyed playing soft rock music during your cocktail hour for your guests as well. Everyone was so sweet and it did feel like we were very well received. We love hearing that we kept you on the dance floor all night too as that's our goal! Haha. Client/Event dependent, but typically it is formal black and gold. We do wear different colors or costumes if asked or if appropriate.
So long as we are given enough time to learn and rehearse the songs, yes we will learn new songs. We typically learn 1-4 new songs for a wedding if we don't already know what they want to hear.
Unless we happen to already know the song (and it's in our repertoire) we don't take requests on the spot. We are a very polished and well-rehearsed band. We don't "wing" songs on the spot. We put on a spectacular show and we are meticulous about the music. If we are given requests ahead of time with enough time to rehearse them then we can take requests.

Non-stop high-energy party! We play a wide variety of party favorites as well as classics and ballads for the sweet and tender moments of the night.
Ideally, we are given at least 2 hours to set-up and run a full sound check before any guests would be in the area of the performance. If we are given more time, we often will take it.
We have basic lighting included in our price which lights up the band & the dance floor. For an additional fee, we have several uplighting packages to light up the entire reception room for a truly spectacular experience. We also include DJ services for music to be played before the band starts, & during breaks as well as MC services to keep the events of the day running smoothly & efficiently.
We charge the standard IRS mileage rate for every mile over 100 that we have to travel. If we have to travel more than 2 hours and won't be getting done by 10pm, we also charge for overnight accommodations. There is no fee for breaking down our equipment.
