“Julian at Limelight and DJ Rashaun were absolutely perfect for us. We knew the vibe we wanted — and, frankly, it was a little off the beaten path since we wanted a bit of a 1930s feeling. We thought we were doomed, though, because we're terrible at selecting exact songs and had no sense of how the music fit into the overall schedule of the night. We hadn't thought past our ceremony! Julian kept things positive, steered us when we had no idea what to do, but gave us space to put our stamp on our evening when he could sense we had ideas burbling. He was helpful, positive and always prompt without ever being pushy, and so many of our favorite moments came out of the things he got us to think about. Rashaun was awesome too. He took our weird list of preferred songs and turned it into an amazing night of love, dining, and dancing. It felt like he'd known for years, always hitting the right classic hit, the right remix, the right memory moments. He was such a kind and lovely man too. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!”

The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. The music hit everything we wanted: every genre, transitions and mixups, even non-wedding songs - they were all mixed in seamlessly. The attention to detail in our song/artist/genre suggestions and ability to read the crowd was incredible! All the guests raved about the music selection, and our guests had a very eclectic collection of music tastes. Everyone was out on the dance floor all night - it was perfect! We had MULTIPLE guests tell us this was one of the most fun weddings they had ever attended - and one of the guests was a former professional wedding planner! We cannot recommend you highly enough and have dropped your name in any conversations we have in evolving weddings, videography, or DJs.
