“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! “My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!”

They played all of the ceremony music we had chosen, got the timing perfect, emceed throughout the evening, helped make the entire night flow, and played music that had people on the dance floor all night. We are a husband and wife musical duo of piano & violin/fiddle/cello! We have been drawn to pursue music with love and passion since our childhood. Nathan is a professional jazz pianist and excellent at Irish instruments such as pennywhistle, bodhran, and Irish octave mandolin. I, Alisha, have played the violin/fiddle my whole life and the cello for many years, proficient in Celtic & Irish, American folk, and contemporary/modern music. Our combined repertoire includes a mass of works in these styles: Celtic/Irish, Jazz piano, Gospel / Christian Contemporary, Old-Time American fiddle music, and cinematic themes!

“Alisha and Nathan Townley were absolutely amazing to work with and they performed amazingly at our wedding! I HIGHLY recommend having Alisha and Nathan for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. As amazing as they were, my husband and I were too focused on each other that we could not fully appreciate the music playing when I was walking down the aisle. So, listening to the music playing during cocktail hour after photos were taken, was worth the investment. They were absolutely great and as we listened back to the recordings of the ceremony, the music was perfect. My husband and I wanted a forest wedding. For the music, some of the music was inspired by the video games we played together. I even walked down the aisle to a Kingdom Hearts song. Alisha and Nathan were able to play ANY SONG and accommodate to our unique tastes in some video game music! They communicated to us quickly over any changes or any questions that they had. Best of all, they surprised us with a song that we did not request, but we absolutely LOVED because it was from our favorite video game! They are two amazing, kind people who are willing to accommodate any song requests you'd like. My husband and I 100% agree that they were one of the best parts of our wedding. We do not regret hiring them for cocktail hour and the ceremony. All of our guests loved the live music and we are looking forward to hosting another event just to have an excuse to hire them again! :)”
