Q: Do you learn new songs?

Absolutely! We are willing to learn any sort of tune/song from many styles of music, with aims to find out if the requested piece sounds right with our instrumentation. We have new songs included in all of our packages.

Q: We want a special song during the ceremony, sung by us / a friend. Would you be willing to accompany that?

Certainly. Let us know what instrumentation you would prefer and send a recording of what you are planning on playing/singing so we can make sure it is sounding great. We can also work around planning extra rehearsals to include/accompany a special, wherever necessary.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

We usually prefer to arrive a healthy hour or more before the ceremony. If we are bringing a sound system, we arrive closer to 3 hours before the ceremony. If there are other unknowns we need to work through, potentially earlier than that.

Q: What is your travel and break down fee?

Anywhere within an hour (about 50 miles) of Red Bluff requires no travel fee. Outside of that radius, we charge $50 flat fee and then $0.75 per mile after the 50 mile mark.

Q: I want to make sure the music matches my expectations, can you send demos?

Yes. As long as we are given a reasonable amount of time to work on the material, we are happy to take a raw recording and send it over as a sample to help you decide. We want to make sure you have something perfect for you for the special moments of your wedding day, and we are willing to do the extra work to make sure that happens!

Q: Can you provide specialty or religious music?

Yes. Specifically, we play Christian music. Within this are a range of styles (hymnal, gospel, contemporary...) we are fond of and comfortable with all of these!

Q: There is a piano at the venue. Can you play on that instead of a keyboard?

Absolutely. Nathan is also a piano tuner, so if you are in need of this service, he charges $200 for a full tuning/cleaning and will inclusively fix any minor issues.

Q: What can I find your repertoire?

We have a repertoire available to be seen on our website, townleymusic.com, including the most popular songs we play from each genre. Feel free to ask about specific songs you might want and ask for more extensive repertoire lists.

About Townley Music - Piano & Fiddle

Townley Music

We are a husband and wife musical duo of piano & violin/fiddle/cello! We have been drawn to pursue music with love and passion since our childhood. Nathan is a professional jazz pianist and excellent at Irish instruments such as pennywhistle, bodhran, and Irish octave mandolin. I, Alisha, have played the violin/fiddle my whole life and the cello for many years, proficient in Celtic & Irish, American folk, and contemporary/modern music. Our combined repertoire includes a mass of works in these styles: Celtic/Irish, Jazz piano, Gospel / Christian Contemporary, Old-Time American fiddle music, and cinematic themes!

As people who absolutely love our craft and deeply value marriage, I am here to help curate your music to correspond elegantly with who you are while pleasing and entertaining your guests! Nathan and Alisha are incredibly talented musicians and lovely human beings! We stumbled upon their music and went out on a limb to see if they would travel to Oregon and are so thankful that they agreed to do so! They played multiple instruments over the course of our wedding and even learned some new tunes for the traditional Scottish dancing we wanted to teach our guests! The dancing was an absolute blast and Nathan and Alisha worked with our dance instructor ahead of time to ensure it all went smoothly. Cannot thank them enough for their attention to detail and the magic they make with their musical talents.

My guests and I absolutely loved having Townley Music play at my wedding. Nathan and Alisha were introduced to me by my wedding photographer who also played at her wedding.
