“Brad, Jodi, and the entire McKillup family deserve the highest praise for their ability to dish up incredibly delicious and elevated food at volume. We've been working with them for the last year or so to come up with menus for both our rehearsal and reception dinners, and boy did they deliver. Across their whole menu, they absolutely knock it out of the park. For our rehearsal we had their brisket, pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, the works and for our reception we went with their grilled salmon, grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy (good lord the gravy was wonderful), garlic green beans, and green quinoa salads. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was cooked and spiced to perfection. Our wedding included 200 guests, and included specific requests to accommodate food restrictions or nuanced little things we wanted (baguettes vs rolls for instance). As professionals, they easily shifted and accommodated each request. Not to mention they threw together a killer appetizer table, ran coffee service, and provided elevated NA beverages such as a mint lemonade. Having them on our vendor team made the food a breeze. You should absolutely hire the McKillups and Western Pacific Catering for any reception, dinner, event, or get together where you want your guests to be happily fed with lovingly and masterfully cooked food. Thank you Brad, Jodi, and Western Pacific for making our wedding dinner a plate of food to remember!”

“Ashley of Blue Lark Events is a life saver. She helped me with venue research and day of services for a very reasonable fee. What I appreciated the most about Ashley is that she helped me stay organized. What I loved about Ashley was that she made some great suggestions and answered questions about what is common and she explained wedding trends. She saved me time, effort and money, as I otherwise would have made some decisions that were more expensive than were needed for the circumstances. One of the highlights of the wedding - that was loved by my guests and me - was Ashley's suggestion to do a photo bomb. Screw the photo both. You are the prop for people's photos. Stick the couple in the middle of the dance floor, play an upbeat song, and explain to everyone that they need to run behind the couple for a quick photo, taking turns. Rapid fire and in real time, those photos were hilarious. Folks grouped up for shots and couples jumped in our laps. Ashley also helped me source a really good photographer. What struck me the most was that I knew she was really great at her job after our various meetings over the course of many months, but my spouse didn't really interact with her much prior to the wedding. At the wedding he was like, "oh my God, Ashley has a sixth sense for whenever something is about to go wrong!" I was so smug - with a I told you so look in response. Be it a broken glass cigar ash tray that met the cement and is now attempting to ruin your shoes, an overturned umbrella making a run for it or that sound system that just is not acting as expected - she was there problem solving. After we got behind during the dinner speeches (which of course, she warned me about but I didn't police the speech writing), I lost all sense of control and LOVED IT. She was like you are dancing now, you are cutting cake now, you are photo bombing now - in much more rapid succession than had been planned. It was such a relief to just have someone handle us, as if we were celebrities getting ushered from one high profile moment to the next! Her quick action helped us make up time so that our guests weren't waiting around and so our vendors could be released on time. So why haven't you emailed Blue Lark Events yet? Do it now. PS - I included a picture that my photographer snapped right before the ceremony started. You can tell future hubbie needed to just be near someone and was regretting his decision to not have a groomsman wait with him. But it was fine, because Ashley's sixth sense was there. Always ready to calmly say what is about to happen and what will follow next. When I asked hubbie what Ashley said to him in this moment, he said, "I have no idea, but I guarantee you she was not freaking out like I was."”

Nestled in the trees on Parrett Mountain, our wine tasting room is a cozy, inviting lodge-style experience. Drink wine by the fire or sit outside for a fantastic view of Mt. St. Helens between the trees. Construction of the building incorporated Cedar, Fir, and Maple harvested from our property. This wood was used for the siding, along with the 3 bars: Cedar, Fir and Maple live edge slabs. At the center of the building stands the top of the Cedar tree, standing 28 feet tall. Specializing in Big Bold Reds, we also have some award-winning Pinot Noir and white wines as well as local beer on tap. Our tasting room is a versatile space for hosting many events: private tastings, meetings, birthdays, small casual weddings, and more. Events must be catered. We have preferred caterers but will consider outside caterers as requested. We can seat 64-70 people inside and on the patio, but allow a maximum of 85 guests per event. We have 45 parking spots and 2 Tesla Charging stations.

“Our journey with Ann Marie started when we won (after the first winners didn’t need it after all) her engagement photo package at the Portland Venue Crawl. We were beyond grateful and excited to win such a valuable experience and quickly realized that Ann Marie was going to be so fun to work with. She helped us pick an amazing location that required some travel for her, and it was so much fun - we got sun, fog, rain, sunset, and even a rainbow!
