SK Photography

Cornelius, OR
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

As a photographer, my ultimate goal is to create images that have that same “time machine” effect. I aim to capture moments that can be relived through a single photograph: the smell of your newborn's hair, the softness of their ears, or the pounding of your heart on your wedding day. I want my work to serve you for a lifetime, in ways you might not expect. It's an honor to be part of your story, and I hope my work will touch your family’s lives for generations.

SK Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the very first interaction, her bubbly and easy-going communication style put us at ease and made the entire process feel effortless. The quality of their work was truly magical - the photos they captured were euphoric and top-notch, as if they had three people working simultaneously to document every moment. They adapted seamlessly with us as needed, making us feel like we were the only ones that mattered in that special moment. Once you hire SK Photography, you'll never want to use anyone else for your photography needs. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Hiring Hannah was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding (other than marrying each other). We had a very DIY, non-traditional wedding at a summer camp, with a lot of moving pieces, and she somehow made the entire weekend feel seamless—even when there was plenty of chaos happening behind the scenes! From the moment our guests started arriving Friday, she was there. She stayed overnight at camp, helped with our rehearsal, welcomed and coordinated arriving guests, and made sure everyone knew where they needed to be. Before the wedding, she communicated with all of our vendors, connected everyone with the timeline and important details, and made sure everyone was on the same page before the weekend even began. On the wedding day, she was absolutely invaluable. She helped bring together all of the DIY pieces we had planned, from getting the dining hall set up and keeping the event flowing to coordinating vendors and making sure the timeline stayed on track. She was organized, flexible, incredibly calm under pressure, and always seemed to have a solution before we even realized there was a problem. And there were definitely problems! We had a significant catering issue that could have easily disrupted the evening, but she handled it completely behind the scenes. We had no idea the extent of what she was dealing with until later because she protected us from the stress and let us keep enjoying our wedding. That alone was worth its weight in gold. She was also just fun to have around. She brought great ideas, communicated clearly, adapted to whatever we threw her way, and had the kind of wedding expertise that immediately puts you at ease. Her ability to keep everyone calm, even when things were moving quickly, was incredibly impressive. Our wedding looked like a beautiful, effortless celebration—but there was a LOT happening behind the scenes to make it that way, and she was the person holding it all together. Hannah was worth every penny—and honestly, probably worth even more. We would 100% recommend her to any couple, especially anyone planning a DIY, unconventional, or complicated wedding. If you want to actually enjoy your wedding instead of worrying about logistics, hire her. You will not regret it!

I could not imagine having my wedding at any other venue except for Abernethy in Oregon! There is so much to love about them - the venue is beautiful, of course, but all of their staff are so incredible & kind, from the coordinators I worked with, to my day-of planner, to the wait staff that I encountered. Abernethy offers in-house catering, which not only takes that off of your plate when it comes to planning, but the menu is INCREDIBLE. Many of my wedding guests have told me time and time again that Abernethy served some of the best wedding food they've ever had. Lastly, throughout my experience, I greatly appreciated the fact that at Abernethy, you can have the wedding you want at any price point. Abernethy outshone any other venue I visited, and again, I could not imagine my wedding without them!

We’re a premium storytelling studio that brings a pop-up podcast booth to the heart of your wedding day. Think more Soho House than sound booth—elegant, intimate, and beautifully styled. Guests step inside and respond to meaningful, pre-recorded prompts in your voice, sharing love, laughter, and memories. After the wedding, we produce a polished podcast series—complete with music, editing, and heart. It’s the voices of your people, captured forever. More than a guestbook—it’s your story, as an audio heirloom told by the ones who lived it with you.

Do this immediately!!! it’s the best thing we did for our wedding. to be honest, we hesitated, and when we asked around our guest hesitated as well. Like I’m not sure people want to do a recording or maybe it’ll be a task rather than entertaining for the guest. It was far away the thing people love the most and we had a lot of things going on over three days. On the surface, it might not seem as impressive of an activity - it is!!! plus working with adam is amazing. i just can’t express how perfect the entire experience was. people loved it so much we had to add hours.

Flowers by Alana is a boutique wedding and events floral studio servicing Portland the the Pacific Northwest. With over two decades of floral industry experience, Alana incorporates her vast design and industry expertise and creative talent with her client's vision to bring their dream wedding to reality. Her floral design work is versatile, expanding several styles from lush, romantic and elegant to boho chic, and classic and timeless. Flowers by Alana will design and deliver absolutely stunning wedding flowers to set the mood, style, and tone of the celebration and have the guests saying, "ooohh the flowers are so gorgeous!"

I truly get teary-eyed thinking about the beautiful flowers that Alana designed for my wedding. As a native-Oregonian who moved away 6 years ago, having locally grown flowers from the soil of my old stomping grounds was so important to me, and Alana went above and beyond to make this happen. She captured the rustic, yet elegant wildflower aesthetic that I was aiming for, incorporating pops of color and greenery that took my breath away. I loved my bouquet reveal too--she stuck around to physically hand me my bouquet and explain the best way to hold it to display the flowers appropriately, and I just love that I have these photos capturing that special moment I got to have with her on my wedding day. She truly is one-of-a-kind, and if you book her, she will take your vision and make it happen. I love you so much Alana! Thank you for being such an amazing part of our special day.

Hi friend!! I'm Karmen. I believe love deserves to be documented with intention, honesty, and care. The kind that feels cinematic but real. Elevated but effortless. I believe your wedding day should feel like you, not a production performed for the camera. The most meaningful images live in the in between. Quiet nerves before the ceremony, hands finding each other without thinking, laughter that spills out when the timeline pauses. Your photos are never about perfection. They are about presence. Thoughtfully guided when needed, and quietly observed when the moment belongs to you.

Awarded Best of Zola
Having Karmen shoot our engagement photos was a wonderful experience. She has excellent communication skills and was very easy to work with. She really cares about her clients and takes the time and effort to give them the best experience possible. Karmen had several recommendations on locations we could shoot at, and I am so happy with the place we decided on. My fiancé and I love her photos and they are so special to us. I will absolutely be booking with her in the future as well as hiring her to shoot my wedding- thank you so much Karmen!

The team at Ironlight have created something so special. People choose to get married in the PNW because of the unparalleled beauty. But....we also have to deal with wind, and the occasional smoke from a wild fire. Because mother nature can be so fickle, its important to have a venue that has flexible options. And that, Ironlight has in spades. Their indoor space is elegant with incredible natural light. It is truly a space every couple can customize and make their own. Their outdoor patios allow couple and guests alike to enjoy our beautiful days and nights, with one deck showing off a view of Mt. Hood, and the other highlighting our amazing PNW sunsets. While the space is beautiful and so thoughtfully designed, I also appreciate the other amenities like a dedicated parking lot and garage, easy loading dock for vendors, fully private restrooms, and complete handicap accessibility. And while the venue speaks for itself, I also want to highlight the customer service this venue offers. Their team is made up of brilliant, service oriented women and everything from the ease of tours, to internal processes to client communication is done with care and thoughtfulness. Definitely schedule time to reach out to Ironlight. It truly is a gem! Kim

I highly recommend PDX DJs. The owner Sean is attentive and respectful. I had every question answered when I first signed on to work with PDX DJs. I also loved their transparent pricing - it's pretty rare that a company touts transparent pricing, and actually means it. Especially in the wedding industry, it was such a breath of fresh air to just have a vendor be straightforward, honest, and not try to upsell us or misrepresent pricing/fees etc. Steven was our DJ and he listened to everything we wanted & delivered. I had a very specific timeline including emcee cues & music for the pre ceremony & ceremony, and I was a little nervous that with only one meeting beforehand there was room for error. But these guys are professionals, asked questions about anything that was unclear in our meeting, and executed everything perfectly. We provided our must plays for the reception, and Steven texted me before hand asking if he could swap one of our picks with a remix version of the same song. I'd never heard of the remix but said go ahead! Now that song stands out to me as one of my favorite moments from the reception and is always tied to our wedding day. It was a really sweet personal touch. Thanks for being a part of our wedding, PDX DJs! Pictured: the vibes cultivated on the dance floor

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

We were so lucky we found her when we did because Joie helped us tie up loose ends on our timeline and gave us ideas on best photo times and scenarios. We were also able to squeeze in a beautiful engagement session in San Francisco. We loved the city but Joie gave us some great insights on where to actually take the photos. On our wedding day, Joie was very thoughtful and made sure to take care of us all day long! We think its amazing that she was able to capture some of the candids that we wouldn't even have thought possible during our ceremony and reception and then gave us some absolutely dreamy sunset portraits! We can't thank Joie enough for the wonderful job that she did capturing our memories but more so than anything, treating us like we were friends and family and making the day feel so natural!

Songbird Floristry was incredible to work with. Robyn was incredibly thoughtful. She helped me talk through the look I was trying to achieve while remaining cognizant of our budget. It was Songbird's flowers that brought the day to life. Our guest were excited to take them home and loved how long they lasted after the day the day over. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! Thanks Songbird Floristry for bringing your magic to elevate our special day!

Lavender Owl Farm is one of my favorite wedding venues to work with. The staff are always sweet, attentive, and professional. They are eager to please and are always looking for ways to improve the experience for their couples. The beautiful grounds are huge and feature various trees. It provides rustic yet elegant backdrops, and the different spaces around the property create a great flow for the wedding day events. As a photographer, I love the different textures and colors the variety of trees offers, especially in the fall when the foliage is stunning. I also love the free-roaming chickens and their occasional surprise entrance during the ceremony or reception! The staff is always present and available, ready to assist and ensure everything runs smoothly. They are also well-connected in the industry and have great resources to make the day special.
