“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. “Julian at Limelight and DJ Rashaun were absolutely perfect for us. We knew the vibe we wanted — and, frankly, it was a little off the beaten path since we wanted a bit of a 1930s feeling. We thought we were doomed, though, because we're terrible at selecting exact songs and had no sense of how the music fit into the overall schedule of the night. We hadn't thought past our ceremony! Julian kept things positive, steered us when we had no idea what to do, but gave us space to put our stamp on our evening when he could sense we had ideas burbling. He was helpful, positive and always prompt without ever being pushy, and so many of our favorite moments came out of the things he got us to think about. Rashaun was awesome too. He took our weird list of preferred songs and turned it into an amazing night of love, dining, and dancing. It felt like he'd known for years, always hitting the right classic hit, the right remix, the right memory moments. He was such a kind and lovely man too. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!”

While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. “My now husband and I just got married on 02.27.26 and working with Chris was a dream. When it came time to plan our wedding, we always we knew we wanted a DJ who does things their own way and not a “traditional” wedding DJ/MC. From our very first touch point, we knew Chris was the one. His branding alone says it all — if you are looking for someone to just play the top 100 wedding hits and nothing else, then you’re probably in the wrong place. Music is extremely important to us and was one of the top things that mattered to us for our wedding to create a certain type of vibe. We love all different genres of music but also have a special place in our hearts for EDM, for example. We wanted someone who would incorporate elements of all our favorite genres and mix it well. We learned on our first phone call that Chris is a musician by trade, worked at Johnny Brenda’s booking shows and events for over a decade, and continues to share his love for music as an adjunct professor during the week and as a DJ on weekends. I say this because all of this was a huge selling point for us: Chris is someone who knows music and knows it well. He knows how to take someone else’s interests and song selections and build on top of that to tell a story. His passion is palpable from talking to him and we had so much fun chatting on the phone and geeking out about music. This brings me to my next point: the collaboration process was extremely seamless and easy. He uses a tool called Vibo where there’s a schedule in which you can input song choices for each section of the night. He used this as the master list and when it came time for our final planning meeting, this really helped guide the conversation around the flow of events for the evening as well as other artists and songs we might be interested in. Chris had also worked at our venue (Philadelphia Distilling) before so he knew a lot about the run of the show and how the space worked which was incredibly helpful. To say Chris understood the assignment is underselling it — he totally knocked it out of the park. Our guest list which ranged all ages was eating that playlist UP. Several people came up to us saying “I can’t believe he played Bad Bunny, this is the COOLEST wedding I’ve ever been to by far”. I honestly get emotional just writing this because all we ever wanted was to create something our guests would love and music is so essential to the environment you’re in, and Chris nailed it. 1000000/10 would recommend him over and over again to anyone looking for a wedding or event DJ that will listen to you, collaborate with you, and throw an AMAZING party that people will be talking about for years to come.”

That's when my DJ Mike SAVED the day along with my photographer and they basically took the coordination of placing the guests in and out of the appropriate rooms and they even helped me make a candle light outdoor ceremony look even better. “Booking Carinvalè for our wedding was the absolute BEST decision we could have ever made!! Our venue had recommended BVTLive if we were interested in booking a band, so we watched one of their live showcases streamed live on YouTube. My husband and I enjoyed all of the bands that played, but one really stuck out to us, Carnivalè! We booked Carnivalè without even seeing them in person, that’s how good they are! When we did attend a showcase in person a few weeks later, they exceeded our expectations and we started counting down the days until they would play at our wedding! Working with Nils to lay out all of our options was amazing! He is the sweet person you’ll ever meet and so on top of things! Leading up to the wedding we worked closely with our band leader, El, to choose songs and create a timeline for our wedding. El and Carnivalè have played at tons of events and weddings and were super organized and easy going! Fast forward to our wedding night, El and the band were absolutely INCREDIBLE!! They catered to all ages at our wedding and made it a night to remember! I really can’t put into words how much fun everyone had and how amazing the band sounded the entire night! We are so thankful to El and the band and would highly recommend them to everyone!! If you want your dance floor PACKED all night long, book El and Carinvalè!”

“We had the absolute best experience with our wedding DJ! From the very beginning, we had multiple meetings to go over every detail and perfect our timeline. They were so organized, attentive, and truly cared about making sure everything flowed seamlessly. The lighting they provided added such a fun and elevated element to the entire reception space — it completely transformed the room and set the perfect vibe for the night. We also booked the photobooth through them, and it was a huge hit! Our guests had so much fun with it, and we loved that we received a book with all of the photo strips in addition to the full digital gallery. Such an amazing keepsake! Most importantly, our dance floor was packed the entire night. The music was spot on, and they read the crowd perfectly. “DJ Pat Ryan is the best there is!! Everything was PERFECT, and he absolutely exceeded our expectations. People loved the food, florals, venue, etc. - but we received by far the most compliments about DJ Pat. I (bride) never left the dance floor once... The mixing and transitions to pack as many songs in as possible was fantastic. We like a pretty broad range of genres, and he absolutely nailed it. There was also an amazing balance of music for different generations present - way better executed than we could have dreamed of. We also appreciated the pep talk for our wedding party beforehand, it really set the tone for the whole night! It was really nice getting to know DJ Pat leading up to the wedding as well. He was always available to chat via video call or text if needed. And his shared spreadsheet helped us immensely during the chaos that is wedding planning (especially planning from abroad). “I don’t even know where to start with bragging about this person. DJ Maggie May is the best out there right now, hands-down. I think she has her pricing down perfectly, and every single thing that she did for our special day was perfectly crafted to my husband and I and followed every single one of our requirements. She also incorporated several special moments that we didn’t ask for into our reception, and they were so perfect and unique to us. Maggie’s communication was concise and organized, and she made sure to follow up with us frequently, but not so much that it felt like she was bombarding us. When things started to get busy as we near the big day, Maggie made sure to follow up with us frequently so that I could focus on other things as needed. The day of my wedding, Maggie was so professional and handled all situations with confidence and ease so that I didn’t have to worry about directing her and giving her cues. On top of being such a professional with her work, she is a friendly and fun person. Our entire reception, her personality and playful demeanor alone kept the energy up with our guests and she made sure that my guests were dancing all night long. I had so many different specific requests for what should be played and what shouldn’t at the reception and ceremony, and Maggie rolled with the punches perfectly in accommodating us to craft the perfect Vibe for both events. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that you need to book her ASAP or any of your events or weddings coming up!! She is a hidden gem in the central Pennsylvania area!!”
