While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “We hired Graeme as our wedding DJ for our big day, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made! In all seriousness, the best vibe curator we could have asked for. He was extremely easy to work with, is very experienced, organized, personable and makes everyone feel special. Most importantly, Graeme is fun! He realizes the importance of weddings, despite how many he's done - and he took extra care in making ours special, memorable and personalized. There is no doubt he knows what he's doing, and he makes sure everyone is happy and having a great time. Not only does he take care of absolutely everything - he goes FAR above and beyond. We had my now sister-in-law and her husband sing our first dance song (they traveled from out of town) and Graeme was able to arrange a guitar to make it extra special and perfect - convenience for everyone! I also didn't know what my first dance song would be with my dad, because my dad was adamant about surprising me and ended up creating a "mash-up" of special songs from my childhood, and was only able to do this because of Graeme and his willingness to go above and beyond (and the "mash-up" was under 2 minutes, which I am SURE Graeme also helped direct ;) ) - Our wedding day simply would not have been the same without him. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, look NO further. From before the ceremony to "shutting the place down" he managed it flawlessly every step of the way and we are so thankful for him. Weeks later we're still getting comments on how great our DJ was - I would recommend him over and over again if I could. Thank you Graeme!!”

“We worked with Paul for our January wedding. Originally, I was going to just create a playlist (I was having little to no formalities) until I saw he commented on a Connecticut Bride Facebook Group. Figured a DJ will give me one less thing to worry about, so I inquired and he immediately responded, provided a quick quote, and we set up our first meeting. He just made everything so easy! We had two one-hour long meetings to clearly identify our vision. My father passed a few years ago and we did many things to honor him at the party- signature cocktail, my sister spoke about him in her speech, his two best friends gave a combined toast on his behalf, but what made me really feel my dad was celebrated and “there in spirit” was when Paul intentionally played my dad’s favorite song prior to the first speech. It almost felt like that was my dad’s speech/toast to us. Family and friends picked up on Paul’s placement of my dad’s favorite song and commented that they were moved by it too. It was the only point of the night I got emotional. Paul really cares about his work and the people he works with. I’ve been to a handful of weddings where DJs play the couple’s Do Not playlist and just treats every wedding the same. I seriously can’t recommend Paul more.”

“In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”

“My husband and I recently got married September 2023 at Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Planning a wedding was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Finding the perfect vendor for each part of your wedding is hard. I spent many many days privately messaging people and trying to see who fits what I need for this day. I came down to the DJ. I found Josh of D and J entertainment. I read all his positive reviews and decided to give him a call. He without hesitation answered all my questions and drove from Massachusetts to Rhode Island to meet with us. Josh hands down is one of the coolest people you can talk to. He is very honest but in a good way. He lets you know was popular with weddings now and helps you out his spin on it. Josh’ company has amazing pricing. They are able to accommodate all weddings. With so much you have to pay for on this day it’s nice paying someone and feeling like your money is actually going to be used well with him. They arrived hours before the ceremony to set up. The hotel loved the company too and how polite they were. Josh came prepared with all the music we requested to hear that day. From the minute we walked down the isle to when everyone left. Josh kept playing amazing music. All night I wasn’t let down once by the song choice. In some areas the venue messed up on a few things. Example the cake cutting and first dance. The hotel really didn’t nail timing so josh Took complete control of the wedding and saved it truly. He made sure my cake cutting and first dance were memorable because the hotel slipped with this. Nothing like a DJ who saves the day too. The best part of it all while DJing Josh found time to take so many photos. He wasn’t asked or required to do so. He took it upon himself to take more professional photos for us. That’s what I call above and beyond. Couldn’t believe he went that far out of his way for us. Thank You josh and all of d and J entertainment. You made the Soares wedding the biggest success. We will never forget you or your amazing spirit and drive to make others day unforgettable.”

Dan and his team were so easy to work with, and their 5-piece DJ band was the perfect, fun switch-up from a traditional band for our June wedding at Greenpoint Loft. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. They were fun to work with, and on the night of the wedding, they absolutely crushed it. The music was fantastic, they kept the vibes high, and their crowd engagement was excellent. We highly recommend The Hook Club for any event. They made our wedding unforgettable!”
