10/10! Best DJ on the Cape!
Cape Tunes came highly recommended from our Venue, and once we chatted with Scott we knew we had found our team! He was so fun and flexible to work with, sending us a music form ahead of time and actually listening to what we wanted. They played all our favorites, including a song by the grooms band! The ceremony music was incredible, and they knew exactly when to signal for our first kiss, which made that moment even more special. All night long they kept the dance floor packed with songs that worked for every generation, and we loved watching our parents dancing right alongside our friends. Beyond the DJ services, their uplighting and photo booth completely transformed our venue and turned the whole night into a real celebration. Scott truly was the perfect fit for us! He came with a fun and friendly attitude, he truly wanted to be there and wanted to do the best job for us! Cape Tunes is a 10/10, and we can't recommend them enough to any couple looking to make their wedding unforgettable!! Thank you Scott ️

Different DJ came on our wedding day
As the bride, I want to share my experience with the DJ we hired for our wedding. The most upsetting part of the evening happened early on when the DJ approached me randomly and said, “so you’re Filipino, what part of the Philippines are you from.” I responded that I am from San Francisco, and clarified that my ethnicity is Filipino. He then replied, “oh okay, because my ex-wife was Filipino and she’s from Bohol.” The comment felt highly inappropriate in that setting and made me very uncomfortable on what was supposed to be my wedding day. His strange approach and assumptions came out of nowhere as the first encounter with the DJ, it was really awkward and strange. To be talking about your ex-wife to the bride on her wedding day, so many red flags and just highly inappropriate. Throughout the night, no guests requested songs because the company's website strongly discouraged it, so we made a point to respect that. The only request made all evening was mine, to switch a song I didn't like, but the DJ ignored it and played it through anyway. Throughout the reception, there were also multiple awkward transitions, restarted songs, and a disjointed flow. Having worked around professional DJs at CBS Radio in San Francisco for five years, the performance came across as inexperienced. The music felt like a generic wedding playlist rather than a thoughtfully mixed set, with abrupt transitions that frequently disrupted the energy on the dance floor. We were also disappointed that the DJ we met with, DJ Keith, was replaced without any notice. The DJ who arrived wore very casual attire despite our formal dress code, and his overly energetic MC style did not fit the intimate atmosphere we had planned. He could not read the room. We booked Cape Tunes based on our consultation with DJ Keith, so sending someone else without informing us felt misleading. Had they communicated the change, we may have made a different decision. Instead, we felt like we paid for one service but received another, and the company's lack of response afterward only reinforced that feeling. That left me feeling misled, as the service we were promised and expected was not the service that was actually provided, I truly felt scammed, and we have not heard back from them at all for weeks. After the wedding, we reached out to ask why we were assigned a different DJ without notice, but weeks later we still have not received a response. Their lack of communication, combined with emails that were never signed with a name, was highly unprofessional and made it impossible to know who we were communicating with. Overall, we are leaving a 2-star review because we understand this experience may not reflect every DJ on the team. However, the DJ we received and the company's handling of our concerns afterward were both 0-star experiences. The lack of communication, professionalism, and any effort to make things right only reinforced our disappointment. In the end, they didn't even try to make it right, which only reinforced our disappointment with the entire experience.

The Perfect Soundtrack to the Best Day Ever!
From the very beginning, Scott was absolutely incredible to work with. His responses were always lightning fast, he answered every single question we had, and he made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. We also chose to add the uplighting, and I am so glad we did it completely transformed the room and created the most beautiful atmosphere for the evening. Keith was our musician and DJ, and WOW… he was SO much fun! He played guitar for our ceremony and absolutely nailed every song, making the moment feel even more special than we could have imagined. Then when it was time to party, he kept the dance floor alive all night long we definitely boogied! The entire team was professional, talented, and genuinely wonderful to work with. Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day absolutely unforgettable. We adore you guys!

So happy with our experience!
From start to finish, Scott absolutely crushed it at our wedding! We were so impressed by his ability to keep everything running smoothly, especially when some last-minute changes came up. Not only did he roll with the punches, but he made it feel seamless, without a hitch. Scott's upbeat attitude and professionalism brought everything together, and we had so many guests comment on how amazing the music was. My husband and I highly recommend booking Cape Tunes for your wedding!!

Great company!!
Cape Tunes DJs, Uplighting & Photo Booths was an excellent choice for our wedding entertainment. From the very beginning, their communication was easy, punctual, and attentive. On the day of, their DJs were fun, energetic, and friendly, and knew exactly how to read the crowd and play the perfect mix of music. They didn't stray far from the music we wanted to hear, and the timing of the songs was great. When our officiant forgot to tell guests to be seated during the ceremony, the DJ stepped in seamlessly to help out. Absolutely recommend Cape Tunes and their DJ, Keith - they truly helped make our special day one to remember!
