String Quartet

Dan Flonta is a violinist and he is the founder of the Cape Cod String Quartet. Mr. Flonta is a very active member of the performing community on Cape Cod. Mr. Dan Flonta earned his Master of Music in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dan performs solo and chamber music concerts throughout the year. In addition, Dan provides music for many events such as weddings, cocktail parties, corporate events, private parties and many others.

What sets us apart is that the Cape Cod String Quartet is not your usual wedding band or wedding musician. We maintain a concert season that includes performances such as "A Night at the Movies," "Spring Is Here," "Change of Seasons," "Summer at Highfield," and "Christmas Around the World". Additionally, we perform at Cape Cod's and Boston's most refined venues and concert halls and our concerts are often sold out.

    Cape Cod String Quartet is Amazing!

    Extremely Talented - A Must Hire!

    We hired Cape Cod String Quartet to perform at our pre-ceremony and ceremony at our May 2026 wedding in Boston. From the start, Dan was a delight. He worked with us to accommodate our budget, had great communication, and was warm and friendly. He helped with song selection and even accommodated a special request for us! We had a pianist and violinist and are still hearing how special they were from our guests. My only regret was that I didn’t get to speak to them in person on the wedding day! I was in hair and make up during their arrival / warm up, and then it was Go Time - so I could only give a little wave. I would have loved to catch up for a chat before they left for the evening. We would recommend Cape Cod String Quartet a hundred times over!!

    Wonderful String Duo for our Ceremony!

    From start to finish, working with Dan Flonta at Cape Cod String Quartet was a pleasure. From our initial call to the day of we couldn't have been happier with the service provided and impeccable quality of musicians. Dan knew exactly what to suggest in order to provide us with exactly what we were looking for both during our ceremony and the afternoon tea that followed. All of guests commented on how much the music added to the ambience and how it "filled the room"! We can't thank you enough for making our special day even more memorable!

We are the only professional string quartet based on Cape Cod, and being local makes a true difference.
