String Quartet

Dan Flonta is a violinist and he is the founder of the Cape Cod String Quartet. Mr. Flonta is a very active member of the performing community on Cape Cod. Mr. Dan Flonta earned his Master of Music in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dan performs solo and chamber music concerts throughout the year. In addition, Dan provides music for many events such as weddings, cocktail parties, corporate events, private parties and many others.

What sets us apart is that the Cape Cod String Quartet is not your usual wedding band or wedding musician. We maintain a concert season that includes performances such as "A Night at the Movies," "Spring Is Here," "Change of Seasons," "Summer at Highfield," and "Christmas Around the World". Additionally, we perform at Cape Cod's and Boston's most refined venues and concert halls and our concerts are often sold out.

    As the bride of an event this band played at- I can say I didn’t have to worry at all. We set up a spot for them to play and they did beautifully. As for the business side Dan was very nice calling me to discuss all options I had with their different package types.

    Outstanding - Highly Recommend

    We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dan and the Cape Cod String Quartet. They performed during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and they were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment they began playing, they added such an elegant, regal quality to the entire event. They are exceptionally talented musicians, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful they sounded. My dad is also a musician, and he was completely taken with them. In fact, he told us they were his favorite part of the entire wedding, which is about the highest compliment I could give! They also looked the part. The quartet was dressed beautifully and professionally and fit perfectly with the elegance of the setting. Our experience with Dan was outstanding from beginning to end. From our very first conversation, he was responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional. He made himself available to us on evenings and weekends, met with us in person on the Cape several months before the wedding to go through everything, and then reviewed all the details with us again just a few days before the event. Dan was also incredibly helpful with the music itself. Their repertoire is extensive, and he gave us excellent suggestions for the different moments of the ceremony, including walking down the aisle and our recessional. We always felt like we were in very capable hands. The Cape Cod String Quartet didn't simply provide music for our wedding. They elevated the entire experience and helped create exactly the atmosphere we had hoped for. They were elegant, polished, accommodating, extraordinarily talented, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We would recommend Dan and the Cape Cod String Quartet without hesitation. Truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

    Beautiful music

    Working with Dan and Cape Cod String Quartet for our ceremony at Holy Redeemer was a fantastic choice. Dan was responsive to our emails and genuinely listened to what we wanted for our big day, making adjustments to the music selection without any pushback. The performance itself was stunning – guests kept telling us how beautiful the strings sounded throughout the ceremony.     Extremely Talented - A Must Hire!

    We hired Cape Cod String Quartet to perform at our pre-ceremony and ceremony at our May 2026 wedding in Boston. From the start, Dan was a delight. He worked with us to accommodate our budget, had great communication, and was warm and friendly. He helped with song selection and even accommodated a special request for us! We had a pianist and violinist and are still hearing how special they were from our guests. My only regret was that I didn’t get to speak to them in person on the wedding day! I was in hair and make up during their arrival / warm up, and then it was Go Time - so I could only give a little wave. I would have loved to catch up for a chat before they left for the evening. We would recommend Cape Cod String Quartet a hundred times over!!

We typically arrive and set up at least one hour before the seating begins. This is unique in our industry, as most musicians only arrive about 30 minutes prior. By arriving earlier, we set an industry standard, ensuring we’re fully prepared, sound-checked, and ready well before your guests arrive—giving you complete peace of mind
