Jack Boatman is a Milwaukee native with an extensive background in music. He obtained a B.S. in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University in the spring of 2018. He prides himself on being an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, having played the violin for over 20 years and picked up several other instruments along the way, including guitar, drums, bass, and banjo. Jack has been DJing weddings and school dances since the spring of 2015. We were heavily influenced by the nearby Dayton/Cincinnati scene, arguably the world capital of funk. Midnight Star, Zapp, Ohio Players, and Slave were big, but hip hop was exciting, and we were the only people to play it on local stations. Think Kool Moe Dee, LL, Tribe, Ice Cube, and BDP, throw in some New Jack Swing, and of course add a 60-minute Quiet Storm at the end.

Jimmy Rupe Productions was started by DJ Mello Ell when he was a child. Born Elliot James "E.J." Rupert in Milwaukee, WI, he started making mixtapes and CD compilations for family and friends.
