You generally only get one wedding, which means going into the day without knowing about a lot of the tiny details that go into making a wedding run smoothly. You do the research, you read the blogs, you study your friends' weddings and get tons of advice, but still you don't know what it's really like. The staff at Deity do--they do this every day. I could write about how great the space is, how much fun everyone had, and how reasonable the price was, and I'll get to all of that, but I want to emphasize what the pictures can't. Our wedding day ran smoothly and comfortably for us and our guests, and it's due to the staff at Deity. They anticipated our needs, gave us lots of helpful advice in both the planning stages and the day of, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding we wanted. Anna, the coordinator, answered my endless emails and asked even more questions that hadn't occurred to me, and on the day of she handled everything so seamlessly I actually got to enjoy myself; Caio, the owner, gave our officiant (my brother) tips about when to move the mic for the smoothest possible ceremony, and made sure my train looked perfect right when I first stepped out into the aisle; and none of the staff batted an eye when I came down an hour before the guests were arriving to say I needed help hiding clues for a scavenger hunt that I had not told them I was planning. They made sure my husband and I got something to eat and a quiet moment to ourselves, they helped us load an Uber at almost midnight on a Sunday with all the stuff we'd brought. They made the whole day feel seamless and fun, and I cannot thank them enough. Also, so many of my guests made a point to tell me how good the food was. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about committing to the in-house catering without a tasting (we were lucky enough to get a sample from Chef James on our initial tour), but my fears were entirely unfounded. The passed appetizers were genuinely amazing, and the food served at the family-style dinner was tasty and actually hot, which I feel like is rare amongst weddings I've been to. They also were very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions, including coordinating an order from a restaurant for a celiac guest, whom their kitchen wasn't equipped to serve. The bar was also great, helped us come up with custom cocktails, and there was cocktail service everywhere, including on the dance floor. When I factored in the food and drink to the total cost we paid for Deity, it's also a really good deal, compared to other local catering options! I won't say too much about the space because you can see it in the pictures and judge the vibe for yourself on a tour. But I will say that having different spaces for the different parts of the event was great, and having the suite for getting ready (and for retreating to when we needed a moment) was a godsend--not to mention wonderful for our photos! Sunset skyine photos without leaving the venue? Don't mind if I do! The location was great for both our in town guests, and those staying at nearby hotels. If you like the look of Deity, don't hesitate. I hope your wedding there turns out just as wonderful as ours!

From our very first call with Maria, we knew we were in the best hands. She was attentive, thoughtful, and truly set the tone for what would be an incredible experience from start to finish. Our wedding planners were absolutely amazing—guiding us every step of the way and making the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. By the time the big day arrived, everything felt effortless. The venue itself was clean, stunning, and the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The catering and bar teams were equally incredible—professional, attentive, and delivering impeccable food, drinks and service throughout the night. I truly can’t say enough good things about this entire team and experience. If I could do it all over again, I would book this venue and team over and over without hesitation.

TL;DR - there is plenty of space, the acoustics are awesome, the amenities are plenty and of great quality, and the staff is very friendly and helpful! They have some rules due to the historic nature of the building, but they weren't a problem and the owners will help you figure things out. We rented this space for our wedding. We chose it for a few reasons: -it's very spacious, but the acoustics were still incredible -it's in the middle of town -hotels are a short drive away, plenty of rides available -there is a small lift for those with mobility issues (we had a couple) -the facilities were all clean and new -it is climate-controlled They also supply plenty of chairs and tables, and offer a handful of lighting options (at additional cost) that really make the space feel comfy and welcoming. It's worth noting that Olio is based in a historic building, so there are rules in place to protect the walls, floors, and everything overhead. We didn't find the rules to be a problem, and the owner, Sarah, was very communicative and happy to work with us to satisfy both their rules and our vision. It is also worth noting that, for catering, Olio has a catalog of their own partnered/approved vendors (all full-service) that are trained to work within the rules of the venue. Caterers were available at multiple price points and a variety of cuisines to give plenty of options for people. There is an option to bring in other vendors, but at additional cost due to training. We went with Vinwood Caterers (from their catalog) for our wedding, and were absolutely blown away with the quality of their food and service. Back to the venue itself... When looking online, the pictures were all stunning, but the idea of getting married in a room with concrete walls was admittedly a little off-putting. Once we visited in person, though, we immediately fell in love with it. The nice view of Main Street through the windows and the natural lighting (and later the market lighting and up-lighting) really make the place feel more warm and welcoming than you might expect. There was virtually zero echo in there despite it being so big and open, and the patterning of the concrete is weirdly charming in person, probably thanks to the warm lighting. Pair that with good A/C in the summer and the other things listed above, and we were sold! On the big day, it all paid off and the space felt just as warm and welcoming as we'd hoped. Full-service catering was expensive, but they took care of almost literally everything - including setting up, moving, and breaking down furniture throughout the event - and still provided top notch food and drink. Well worth the cost to not stress about managing all the furniture ourselves and getting out on time. The venue's staff were there to make sure everything was working and kept us informed of things before and during the event. Overall - very glad we went with Olio despite the restrictions. Well worth the time and money for probably the best day of our lives yet!

The Boylston Rooms
Rating: 5.0 (45 reviews)
Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $6,600

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Allows pets
  • Provides catering services

  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • No free parking
  • Best for events with big guest lists

From the second we saw the venue in person and met with the Event Manager, Myles, we knew we found the perfect venue. The venue was beautiful from the start but the added touches of drapery, being able to select the right arch from their numerous options and countless other decor items really allowed us to bring our vision to life. The event spaces of the ceremony room, courtyard for cocktail hour and reception room comfortably fit our 94 guests. We were also very appreciative of not only having a spacious bridal suite to get ready in but also a grooms suite, as both came in handy. In briefly working with the Owner and Event Manager, Erin, we were introduced to the transportation option of using the venue's trolley service, which we were so thrilled we went with as our guests greatly enjoyed the special ride. And as mentioned, we knew The Boylston Rooms was the right venue for us after we met with Myles. Working with Myles was fun, effortless and very thorough. We also had the chance to work with Event Manager, Alyssa, on the day of the wedding who did a great job meeting our needs each step of the way. We would highly recommend working with The Boylston Rooms if you're looking for a spectacular venue with myriad decor options and wonderful staff members. A special thank you from us to all of you for making our day truly magical!

Iron Manor by Walters Wedding Estates provided an incredible space for our wedding day. The venue was elegant and modern, creating the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. While the communication from the venue staff was sometimes great, Jillian, the day-of coordinator, took care of everything seamlessly. From the 4-5 month mark to the day, I didn't have to worry one bit about timing or logistics, as she ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Spruce Mountain was the best venue we could have possibly chosen. My fiancé was sold from the pictures online and when we toured, I spent the whole time just breathless. We were on the upper ranch with the ceremony on Trey's Vista (stunning), cocktail hour in the Spruce Room, and reception in the Ponderosa Room. Communication with them was easy, Tara was our representative and she happily answered all of our questions and communicated seamlessly without overloading our inbox. She even provided me with a preferred vendors list of vendors they have worked with before which created a great starting place for finding vendors. I was a bit skeptical of their requirement of a Day of Coordinator, but I am so thankful that they required it. We didn't have to lift a finger on the wedding day, I wasn't being asked a million questions, it was fantastic. On the wedding day, our property manager came to introduce herself and told us where to find her if we needed her, there was music playing on the TV in the bridal suite, everything was so clean and perfectly set up to start the day. All of our guests could not stop raving about the venue - the views at the ceremony site, having separate spaces for each part of the day, the mix of indoor and outdoor space for the cocktail hour and reception, and so many said "this sets my bar so high for weddings". If I could do my wedding all over again, I would book Spruce with no hesitation!!

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our ceremony and reception at the Rose; our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we STILL can't get over how perfect our day was! We owe our sincerest thanks to Emily Ridenour, our coordinator and wedding-planning wizard, as well as Patricia Zutman for the speedy and informative communication from the get-go. When deciding on the initial aspects of our ideal wedding, an all-inclusive and budget friendly venue were at the top of our list. The Rose exceeded any and all expectations that we had in those aspects and more - so much so that it was the only venue (out of 30 corresponded with) that we viewed and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From initial contact, Patricia and her team were direct and transparent with what the Rose offers and how we could make our dream day a reality. After solidifying our decision, we were blessed to work with Emily prior to and the day of our wedding. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered along the way. I cannot fully articulate how incredibly amazing Emily is at planning and executing an event without a hitch! In addition to her assistance with planning and day-of coordination, we added her decor/set-up/tear down service - as a DIY bride this was an absolute blessing and truly brought my vision to life. We received countless compliments throughout the night (and to this day) about how awesome Emily was and how perfectly the night went. Along with Emily and Patricia, we are truly grateful to all the amazing staff that helped make our wedding as magical as it was. The bartenders, servers, and cooks (and everyone in between) made the experience an unforgettable one for us and our guests. The Rose's food is beyond words in terms of quality, look and taste. We had the 14er Buffet Style Menu and were obsessed with the beef medallions and pork loin. Drinks were made consistently perfect and there was never a line for 100 guests! We cannot thank the Rose enough for giving us the most beautiful day. We will ALWAYS recommend them #1 to anyone looking for their dream team & venue 3

Sound River Studios was the perfect venue for our May 2024 wedding! We had not initially considered a raw space for our wedding reception. However, after meeting with Una and discussing the seemingly infinite possibilities for the space (along with soaking in the spectacular views of NYC), we were completely sold on the venue. We are so glad we made the choice to celebrate our wedding at Sound River Studios! We took advantage of the dock at the venue and had our guests arrive to cocktail hour by boat which was a unique highlight. The dock is also a beautiful spot for photos! Una was beyond helpful in the planning process and she was always available to answer any questions we had or to brainstorm ideas with us and our vendors. We would highly recommend Sound River Studios to any couple looking to have a memorable NYC wedding!

Once we booked, she and our amazing coordinator, Natalie, became incredible partners in our planning process. They were always available to address every question, concern, or idea with professional guidance and genuine care. What truly sets The Treasury apart is the impeccable service and the immense value included in their packages. It is clear that Hayley, Natalie, and the entire team are driven by passion rather than just a paycheck; they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. Our dollars went much further here than they would have elsewhere, without sacrificing an ounce of quality. I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and its catering. If you are planning a Michigan wedding and want a stress-free experience with a team that truly cares, book The Treasury now! We will certainly be considering and recommending them for future events.

The Garrison was the perfect venue for our winter wedding. Annie was incredible for all of the coordination, and we loved working with our day-of attendant, Fatima, who made the entire event personal, seamless and low maintenance. From the very beginning, their communication was quick, easy and incredibly helpful as we planned our big day. The views both inside and outside the venue were absolutely breathtaking. WOW. Our wedding day was a dream and so much more because of the phenomenal Milton Ridge team. Absolutely every person at MR from the coordination team, photography team, catering, DJ, and beyond is so incredibly professional, caring, detail-oriented, and focused on making your day and you and your partner feel so truly special. We have a million compliments to give to this amazing staff. It felt like they were all celebrating with us! Meaghan and Moriana not only helped plan and coordinate our day beautifully, they were so excited for us all day and made sure we weren’t worried about anything, making sure to have everything ready for us, even strategically got our one guests safely an ambulance to the ER before the ceremony (and back before first dance!) and made sure every single moment of our day ran smoothly. Feldy and Mira made the best photographers we could have hoped for. They were adamant about getting us the shots we wanted and Mira was just priceless with her joy for the photos they were taking!! She and Feldy have us so excited to see our photos!!! Our DJ, Tyler was just wonderful, made our night with some great music and had our guests dancing all night long! One moment I will never forget is running to the office to get something an few hours before guests arrived and feeling caught up in my nerves, but then hearing the catering staff laughing with each other while preparing our food. It totally snapped me out of my nerves and brought me back to the moment, reminding me to enjoy it all. The food was insanely delicious by the way, so many compliments from guests too! Highly recommend the fajita buffet!! Hubby and I are still chowing down on the leftovers 2 days after our wedding! I also want to mention how happy it made us to see Moriana, Mira, and the girls and guys serving drinks dancing to the music, enjoying the night, while providing us with everything we could want and more!!! The ultimate professional wedding team is right here at Milton Ridge!! Can’t thank you all enough. We are so grateful we chose this venue, will be recommending it to all of our engaged friends, and will never stop talking about the day of our dreams that you all helped make possible.

I can't say enough good things about Threes - the staff, the venue, the managers - everyone was incredibly wonderful, so responsive, and helpful through the entire night and the year leading up to our event. My husband and I decided to plan the wedding ourselves and were looking for something pretty all-inclusive. Threes offered catering in-house, is obviously a (very good) beer bar, and needed minimal decorations (we had a summer casual vibe). It is narrow, but we were looking for a space that felt intimate, but had space for 120 or so people to gather, dance, eat (we didn't want a seating chart), all around the restaurant. Leading up to the event was a breeze - Angie walked us through what to expect and gave sample timelines of how they typically navigate things. I had a lot of questions as I wanted to bring in my own decorations, and she made sure I got all the information I needed and as quickly as possible. Threes gave options for getting ready spaces, let us drop things off days in advance, and treated us so well every time we dropped by to pick or drop something off or chat through some questions. Of note: the food vendors were rotating, so we saw a few different menus, but were given the freedom to pic the one we preferred. I will say; the tasting was fine, the food day-of was MUCH better which was an unexpected surprise. The day-of came, and we needed a rain plan due to a tropical storm blowing in, and Angie eased my anxiety and made sure a plan was in place. Throughout the day every. single. staff member. was SO warm, on top of it, and ready to help with whatever we needed. I cannot recommend working with the staff and team at Threes enough.

We got married in April here and it was amazing! The venue is beautiful and there is a lot of space. My planner, Madison, was very helpful during the process and would answer any questions I had. Our coordinators Janeen and Jackie were awesome! They helped make the day flow perfectly and if we needed anything they were on top of it! The DJ was great as well and was included in the package. The only compliant I have was that they ran out of food even though less people showed up then in our final guest count. We got the steak option and it was delicious but the portions they gave out were small and they somehow still ran out...

We chose The Factory Event Center for our daughter’s wedding, and couldn’t have been happier with the decision. From our first meeting through the final goodbyes, April and her team were thoughtful, organized, and made everything easy. The gardens are truly a highlight. We toured in late spring, and were wondering how the garden ceremony space would look in the fall — it turned out to be absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop. Every detail during the event ran smoothly: the setup, the coordination, the flow, and the atmosphere. Guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything was. We are so grateful to April and everyone at The Factory for making our daughter’s wedding joyful, memorable, and stress-free.

My husband and I just got married at The Simon in September, and if we could give the experience more than 5 stars we would The Simon truly stuns as a venue and you need very little decor to make the space feel classy, warm, bright, and beautiful because the venue speaks for itself. Having an end of September wedding, an indoor venue was very important to me because I didn’t want to worry about potential weather disruptions. It’s located right on Main Street in downtown Louisville, which is an extremely quaint part of town with lots of great photography locations. A big selling point at The Simon is their inventory of decor you can rent completely for free for your big day. I can’t put into words how many guests were impressed by the venue. The compliments are still flowing in several weeks later. The bridal suite is large, stunning, and full of bright, natural light. The speakeasy in the basement is moody, intimate and perfect for photos. The ceremony space has huge windows that make the space feel open and bold, and the reception on the ground floor is perfect for festivities, especially if the weather is nice enough to open the garage doors. The wraparound balcony on the second floor is a great vibe for separating cocktail hour from both the ceremony and reception space and holds plenty of guests comfortably. The owner of the venue, Caitlyn, has it together at all times. It is the primary reason we chose The Simon over other venues. I always had my emails answered within 1-2 business days, she was able to source vegan wine for me from her wholesaler, she was able to track down other vendors for me when they weren’t as responsive, etc. She knows it all and does it all with grace and misses no details. I chose to hire my day of coordinator through the venue (Caylynn) and she was great to work with as well. She was thorough and communicative, showed up to meetings on time, and remembered details. She took charge and set up my decor perfectly, asked very few questions, and I knew I was in completely capable hands working with her. Her and Logan (facilities manager) working together really made the day go so smoothly. Overall we are so happy with our choice to host our wedding here. Our guests were totally wowed by how beautiful every space in the building is, and the staff at the Simon really makes it what it is. If you want a wedding that is smooth, easy, and naturally beautiful, look no further.

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
