We recently contacted this venue about hosting a fundraising event for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are an all-female social club that supports the motorcycle riding community through charitable work and community outreach. Over the past four years, we have successfully hosted annual fundraisers at several venues throughout Nashville without a single incident or any property damage. We take great pride in serving our communities and conducting ourselves professionally at every event. Unfortunately, our experience with this venue was disappointing. During our phone conversation, the representative repeatedly referred to our organization as a "motorcycle gang" and expressed concerns about motorcycles and potential violence on the property. Despite explaining multiple times who we are, our nonprofit mission, and the nature of our organization, those stereotypes persisted throughout the conversation. Every venue has the right to decide who they rent to, and we respect that. However, making assumptions based solely on our association with the motorcycle community was both disheartening and insulting. We had hoped to be evaluated on our organization's track record, professionalism, and community impact rather than outdated stereotypes. Based on this experience, I would not consider this venue for future events, nor would I recommend it to organizations seeking a welcoming and respectful environment.
