    Bride

    The Spot On West Fifth was the perfect setting for our wedding day. From start to finish, their team got back to us quickly and made the whole process smooth and easy. They went above and beyond to help us have everything we needed, and we honestly cannot imagine celebrating our wedding anywhere else. The bartenders they have on staff created drinks that our guests are still talking about. What really impressed us was how they packaged everything up so carefully and let us come back the next day multiple times to collect items we'd left behind—that kind of thoughtfulness made such a difference. We would absolutely recommend this venue to any couple looking for a space that genuinely cares about making your day special.

    Don't miss out on The Spot!

    The Spot On West Fifth was the perfect wedding venue for our special day. Their communication style was flexible and detailed, which made the planning process a breeze. The venue itself is beautiful, spacious, and intimate - exactly what we were looking for. They allowed us as a couple to enter the space and design how we wished it would turn out, and we couldn't have been better! We also got to bring in our own catering and bar, which allowed us to customize the menu and drink selection to fit us perfectly. The Spot On West Fifth was fantastic to work with and very convenient for our guests who were staying downtown. We had an amazing experience with this venue! They were incredibly flexible, offered great service, and created the cutest atmosphere. Truly everything I had hoped for in a “build-your-own” wedding experience. The woman-led team made the entire process personal, and our day felt exactly like us. And the cost was reasonable which helped bring us confidence that our money goes directly to what is important to us! Definitely consider them in your wedding venue selection!

    Magical Reception Venue

    The Spot was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. We ended up having around 190 guests, and not a single person felt crowded. The Spot is an open space with brick walls that has plenty of natural and soft lighting so the space is easily transformed to have an elegant and beautiful ambiance. We worked primarily with Shelbly, who was absolutely wonderful, and responded timely to all our questions. We hired The Spot’s bar staff, who did a fantastic job. Sam assisted us with developing our drink menu and advised us on quantities. Both Shelby and Sam were a huge help. The Spot team worked with our wedding coordinator and other vendors to make our wedding reception magical. We had so much fun. I highly recommend The Spot as a wedding and reception venue.

    Phenomenal Space

    We could not have asked for a better wedding venue! We had about 160 guests, and having both the ceremony and reception on-site made the entire day seamless and stress-free. The space was beautiful, and everything ran perfectly. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff, especially Sam. Sam went above and beyond from day one. Without Sam, I’m not sure we would have even chosen this venue. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel so supported every step of the way. Sam made sure our vision came to life and kept everything running smoothly so we could just enjoy our day. If you’re considering this venue, do it… and if you get to work with Sam, you’re in the best hands possible.

    Wonderful Venue

    The Spot On West Fifth was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly responsive and friendly in their communication, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. On the day of, they ensured everything was set up exactly how we wanted it, down to the smallest details. The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious, with beautiful natural light and elegant decor that set the perfect tone for our special day. Our guests raved about the beautiful space and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have our reception. We have a list of vendors that we are thrilled to recommend, but you can use anyone you like as long as they are insured and licensed in Ohio to do the job that you hire them for and abide by all of the rules outlined in the Rental Agreement and any other provided vendor agreements. Need some ideas? We’re happy to help.
We don't require it, however, we highly recommend that you hire the services of a professional wedding planner to help with planning and coordination of your day. We can make recommendations if needed!
Our event and vendor insurance policies protect The Spot on West Fifth and the vendors, but not you. To protect you in the same way on your event day, we require that you purchase “Day of Event” liability insurance. The insurance is available from your insurance agent or on the web for a nominal fee, approximately $150. Your certificate is required by 30 days before your event. Exact requirements can be found in the Rental Agreement.
With a generously sized dance floor, we can easily accommodate 200-225 seated guests. Our standing capacity is 275.

For weddings we include one monogram or photo to be displayed on the back wall or one of the side walls of the venue. For corporate events we are able to provide some in-house sound and projection. Contact us for more details.
We have one beautifully furnished and spacious get-ready room that is yours to use the day of the event for getting ready or for some lovely photos.
There is elevator access through the private, rear entrance through which venue staff can escort guests.

We are a BYOB venue. For weddings, receptions and other private events, we require renters to hire appropriately insured bartenders through their caterer, through us, or through a professional bartending service. No freelance or private bartenders are allowed. Non-profit fundraisers looking to have a cash bar must follow the State of Ohio laws and obtain and show proof of the required special event permit
Yes, but they must be enclosed in glass and located a safe distance from all flammable materials. Sterno may be used with chafing dishes.
College events, high school events, and events where the attendees (in a ratio exceeding 10 to 1) are younger than 21 years old must have a City of Cincinnati Police Officer present during the entire event.
We require a completed, initialed and signed rental agreement along with a deposit in the amount of half of the rental rate plus a $300 refundable damage deposit to secure the date.
Absolutely, we have some great ideas for ways to set up the space for ceremony and reception. Your event attendant(s) will gladly help with the re-set/room flip once the ceremony is over if necessary.

Although we do not contractually require clients to tip the venue staff, it is fairly common practice in the event industry to tip service vendors who work hard to make sure your day is great. Much guidance can be found online and we are happy to answer any questions you may have on this topic.
We are happy to accommodate a rehearsal walkthrough at no cost during business hours as allowed by our event calendar. If you need time for a rehearsal after business hours, there is a cost of $250/hr. on weekdays and $500/hr. on weekends. We don't guarantee specific rehearsal timing as our calendar is subject to change as new events are added
