Sodo Park by Landmark Event Co. was the perfect venue for our wedding. Their communication throughout the process was reliable and they were always responsive to any and all questions we had. The space itself is absolutely stunning - we were married on a sunny day in April and were able to use the beautiful courtyard for our first look, wedding party, and family photos, which turned out beautifully. The catering and bar staff were incredibly kind and efficient, and our guests raved about the delicious food and wonderful service. We were thrilled with how our special day turned out, and the huge, open space was ideal for our 165 guests to enjoy the ceremony, reception, and dancing. Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Wenatchee, WA
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Mission Ridge sits at 4,570 feet on the east side of the Cascade Crest, about 20 minutes from Wenatchee. It is the second-highest base area in Washington, and from May through November it is a wedding venue. Which side of the crest you are on matters on a wedding day. Ours gets over 300 sunny days a year and the dry air that comes with them. The Main Deck sits above the valley floor and runs cooler than town on a July afternoon. By late September the western larches turn gold across the ridge. Utilize the Hampton Lodge at the base how you see fit, that doubles as indoor space ready in case the weather turns. Tables, chairs, linens and place settings are included. All food and beverage comes from our own kitchen and bar, and parking is free. Bookings run ten hours start to finish, including our set-up and clean-up. We host weddings, elopements, rehearsal dinners and engagement parties from May through November, and the same spaces work for a reunion or a company gathering.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Rustic yet refined style
  • Flexible event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • On-site parking not available
From our first conversation, the team at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort made us feel confident in our choice. They communicated with us in a clear and prompt way, and they were always willing to work together with us on what we needed. When more guests showed up than we expected, the staff adapted quickly and made sure everything still ran smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and functional, giving us the flexibility to set up our day exactly how we wanted it. Mission Ridge truly proved to be the perfect place to start forever, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Whistlin’ Jacks made our wedding so easy. You can truly customize your wedding to be uniquely yours by going with them. Our wedding has people coming from nearby and out of state. We loved the fact that it’s located in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, on the gorgeous Naches River and in one of our favorite forests of all time. For us, it was the destination without the cost. Us and our guests made amazing memories before, during, and after the wedding. We used their cabins and lodge rooms for our guests stay on site with us. In the evening we sat around a campfire before enjoying a soak in the hot tubs. The wedding day started with decorating the tent and aisle with flowers. Bridal parties went off to get ready and then we had our first look. We had it on the backside of our cabin along the river, not only was it pretty but it was super private and intimate. We used the river and forest as the backdrop for the ceremony. It was a memorable aisle to walk down, and the pictures couldn’t have turned out better. Whistlin’ Jacks can cater or bar tend, but we opted to hire in a taco truck. We filled a canoe with ice and beverages. Whistlin’ Jacks refilled the ice for us as needed to keep the guests happy. It got a little chilly in the evening so they brought down a propane heater. Whistlin’ Jacks was extremely easy to coordinate with, and was very thoughtful to details. They even blocked off the road so no one could interrupt the ceremony.
