“Oh where to begin?! I met Brandon and Kellie during the April 2024 Richmond Bridal Expo. I was just going around signing up for all the give aways and drawings while collecting information. The day after the show, I received an email from DJ Signature saying I won their 2nd place prize and to schedule a meeting. My Fiancé and I set up a meeting via zoom and let the fun begin! We both instantly felt a connection with Brandon and he 100% understood the vibe we were going for. He took the time to go through all the packages and customized our perfect plan. I didn’t need some of the things the package offered so I opted to add in Signature Details (welcome to the party Kellie!) and have access to a wedding coordinator. Kellie joined our zoom call and it was like 4 friends just catching up and having a good time. Once we were done with the zoom, they emailed over everything we discussed along with a contract. We were signed, sealed, delivered within an hour of ending our call. Brandon is very proactive in asking for lists of music you do and don’t want during your ceremony. He also helped me when I was struggling to add certain genres I knew I didn’t want during the reception, and we created a dinner playlist with those songs so everyone was included. The day of the wedding Brandon and his assistants showed up ready to get to work. When I say everything was PERFECT I mean it! The music flowed beautifully and there was no awkward pauses in transitions. It was a special moment for my husband and I too, after pictures we got the chance to talk with Brandon. You could feel the love and support with everything he said and it was an honor to have him with us. Part of the package we did was a cold spark exit. I wasn’t sold on it when we originally talked about it but as we went on I was like ok it’ll be cool. My advice, DO THE COLD SPARKS!!!!!! I’m so glad they convinced me because it was honestly my favorite part of the night. Brandon had to leave after this part of our evening as he had another wedding to do fireworks at and his assistant took over. And that’s when the party started! I wanted it to feel like an early 2000’s-2010’s club vibe full of dancing and fun. They NAILED the mark on it too! Everyone had an absolute blast and I legit felt it for the next few days. Dj Touché has this awesome app that he sends you to choose music and I was overwhelmed with the choices! Dj touché was so patient with me and helped me pick great songs for my wedding! “Mark Maskell was absolutely incredible. Even though we had an all-inclusive venue, he was my one non-negotiable outside vendor from the very beginning. As someone who has been to a million weddings and genuinely loves music and going out, I hate cheesy wedding music and forced line dancing. Mark was the only DJ whose bio openly said that if you are looking for that vibe, he is not the DJ for you. That honesty alone sold me. From the start, Mark went far above and beyond what was included in our contract. He spent countless hours helping us curate our wedding timeline, reviewing my very Type A spreadsheets, and offering thoughtful guidance. He honestly felt more like a second wedding planner than just a DJ during the planning process. And the lights. The lighting setup and light show were unreal and completely elevated the entire experience. Mark truly curates the music and the atmosphere to you as a couple, not just a generic wedding crowd. On top of all that, he is just a genuinely wonderful human. Easy to connect with, great dark humor, ADHD energy that matched ours perfectly. We also booked the "retro" photo booth which was a huge hit! Our guests were using it all night long with help from the lovely Shelby. You absolutely NEED this photo booth at your wedding—it’s such a fun experience and an amazing keepsake! We had the best time looking through all the photos afterward. A special shout-out to District Harmony for performing during our ceremony and cocktail hour- they were fantastic! “We absolutely loved working with Carol and Joey. They are an amazing husband and wife wedding team. We hired them just a month before our wedding when we realized we needed an MC, and we ended up adding Carol for day-of coordinating too. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Carol met with Haley (the bride) multiple times a week leading up to the wedding to make sure every detail was covered. She has such a positive, calming spirit, and she brought a sense of relief even before the big day. That alone was priceless. She also took the time to really get to know our families and friends, which helped everything run so naturally and smoothly. On the wedding day, we had two pretty major and time-sensitive vendor shortfalls, and Carol handled both effortlessly. She kept everything under control without involving the bride and groom and was incredible at delegating tasks to the right people to make sure everything got done. She showed up fully prepared, emergency kit and all, and saved the day more than once. Joey did an amazing job keeping the party going. He brought awesome lighting for the dance floor, and he even set up lights in dimly lit areas so guests wouldn’t trip or fall. They both clearly care about everyone having a great time, but they put safety first, which we appreciated so much. Joey also took all of our music preferences and seamlessly wove them into the night so everything flowed perfectly. They brought their son as well, who was such an incredible support and a huge help throughout the day. A few weeks post-wedding day, they even hopped on a debrief call with us to walk through how everything went and help us give accurate feedback to our other vendors. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care went far beyond anything we expected. Our wedding day was so special because of them. We couldn’t recommend Carol and Joey more.”
