From the moment we viewed the venue and then leading up to our actual day, everything was beyond perfect. Every single guest let us know how much they truly loved the venue and how fun it was. Amelia and her staff are what made everything the best. The staff that worked that night was so amazing, and helpful, and made everything go smoothly. Amelia was so wonderful to work with and helped us so so so much. I seriously cannot recommend this venue and the team that keeps the doors open. My husband and I had a perfect day because of the staff and the venue!!

Awarded Best of Zola
We are so grateful to have found Sundance for our wedding. We chose the area as the middle ground for our friends and family in both Detroit in Chicago- it was perfect. The space is absolutely beautiful as it is- you could be extremely minimal or maximal in your planning and decorating and it will be a stunning space either way for you and your guests. The movement between the ceremony to outdoor cocktail area to dining area to the dance area/bar made it feel like 4 places in 1. Though we didn’t need it, we appreciated knowing the indoor option for inclement weather would be a available (and beautiful) in the months leading up to our wedding. Certainly gave peace of mind! Working with Amelia and Liv was comfortable, their communication was breezy with quick responses to even silly questions, and everything was exactly as we expected day-of and more. Having Liv there day-of was so comforting, and she gave lots of reassurance as we got the space ready. If we could do it all over again here and with this team, we would!!!!!

I am so thankful that we chose to have our daughter's wedding reception at the Felt Estate. Words can't begin to describe our joy! Our daughter and her husband had their first date at the Felt Estate on a cold winter day in 2017. They went hiking to the Lake Michigan shoreline where they shared their first kiss. After their engagement, it wasn't surprising that the Felt Estate was the venue they wanted for their wedding reception. It was the perfect place to continue celebrating their love. I can't say enough good about our experience with the Felt Estate, and in particular Derrick, our event coordinator. Derrick is kind, compassionate, and very accessible. He answers his phone and emails promptly (on the weekends and even on the 4th of July). Derrick and the entire team were wonderful to work with pre-pandemic, but when COVID-19 brought unwanted news and uncertanties, Derrick was our advocate. He shared our desire for making this situation the best it could possibly be. Originally, we had a "Plan A" and a "Plan B" if it happened to rain. On the day of the wedding, we were probably on "Plan J" and "Plan K"!!  :) Derrick had many creative ideas to accommodate as many of our guests as possible using multiple spaces at the Felt Esate, but still abiding by the ever-changing state-mandated rules and guidelines. The staff at Felt went above and beyond to get spaces ready for us! (We are very thankful that we rented the whole estate rather than only the mansion/west lawn tent.) Our caterer said that out of all the venues they have worked with during the coronavirus pandemic, they have been the most impressed with Derrick and Holden (the other event coordinator). Communication and knowledge are so important at a time like this. While the day looked different than our original plans, it was still very dreamy and magical - everything the bride and groom hoped for!! As the bride's mother, I couldn't be more grateful!!!

Our wedding experience with Bay Pointe Inn was everything we could have hoped for plus more! Everything was absolutely perfect! It all started with our tour with Sales Manager Mariesa. She showed us the different venues to hold the wedding, and that’s when we fell in love with the Lakefront Pavilion and its beautiful views right on Gun Lake. From there, my fiancée and I worked with the Catering Event Manager Juno to plan the nitty and gritty details. Juno was a constant professional and helped us plan every second of our wedding and food details. The day of our wedding, Courtney took great care of us and ensured that everything went perfectly throughout the day. She even went above and beyond and arranged the flowers on our cake, which turned out beautifully! We couldn't have asked for a better event supervisor for our big day and we are so grateful to her for helping make the day perfect and stress-free. Thank you so much to everyone at Bay Pointe!

I have had the privilege of working with Barb from The Bellflower now on several styled shoots and a few events. She is so easy to work with. She is wonderful at returning messages and keeping on top of things and there is so much to offer at her Historic venue. The off-white interior has lots of windows with a lot of natural light and is amazing for pictures. She has decorated It with so many cute features. The little retro kitchen is so fun and she has many extra items included with the rental. I would say The Bellflower is absolutely charming!

Gable Hill

4.7

Marcellus, MI
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,800

Gable Hill is located in "Pure" Southwest Michigan on 13 picturesque acres surrounded by lush woods and a beautiful pond. A full amenity bridal cottage sits on property available for the bridal party to enjoy. Spacious and relaxed atmosphere makes for a perfect setting for your perfect day.

The venue was beautiful and the access was amazing. My only issue was making seating charts, there is no flexibility and they were not kind about it. As someone who has worked weddings myself I knew what I wanted for a seating arrangement and they were not accommodating to that. Otherwise the day went well once we were able to move the tables ourselves.
