Over the course of the 9 months leading up to the wedding I probably had 4 or 5 calls with Thaddeus to give him the general vibe we were looking for & work out details. He was professional, honest, and gave great feedback. We had many specific asks and Thaddeus made sure all of our wants fit into his plan. Once the party was going, we gave Thaddeus the creative freedom to do his thing & make sure our guests had a good time. He totally delivered. I absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ that can keep the party going! Mackenzie was great to work with as well. Empire State Events got more backdrops to choose from in the middle of our planning, so she gave me the option to switch! I’m glad we did, the eucalyptus backdrop fit perfectly with our vision. Mackenzie was incredibly friendly & ready to help anyone that needed assistance. Our guests loved the photo-booth & our kids/nieces & nephews were entertained too! Win-win!”

“Kyle was amazing to work with for our wedding! His communication throughout the planning process was always professional, quick, and organized. Kyle shared a detailed Google Doc with us to fill in with our personalized timeline of the day and preferences for music and announcements. About a month before the wedding, he scheduled a video call to go through that timeline step by step and to make sure he understood all of our requests. We shared specific songs we wanted for things like walking down the aisle and first dance and were able to share entire playlists of requests for things like music to play during cocktail hour, dinner, and our reception. On the day, Kyle was a rockstar. Everything was set up and ready to go well before our ceremony began. During the ceremony, the audio was excellent. From the volume of the music as we walked down the aisle, to the mics set up for us and our officiant, to the transition into our recessional, all of it was incredible. At the end of cocktail hour, Kyle pulled me aside just to review our entrance into the reception, which helped alleviate some nerves for me! And of course Kyle shined brightest during DANCING! He read the room, kept the energy high, and added in some awesome mixes and transitions that worked so well. We added on the photo booth and printer which was a huge hit! There were two print outs of each photo strip and you could even enter your phone number to get a digital version of the strip plus a video of all 4 photos rotating. This was super helpful especially for sharing large group photos. Kyle also sent us the digital copies of ALL of the photos and videos from the photo booth. We would highly recommend hiring Underfloor Music for your next event!”

Rob took the time to text or set up whatever zoom calls we felt we needed. For the actual day, Rob was amazing. We had dinner service, reception, and "after party". Robs killed it with his flow between songs, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible if we had any requests in the moment, and was able to dodge or handle any "questionable" song requests that came his way. We knew that he always put my husband and I's wishes first. We also had multiple people comment on how good the DJ was during the reception, and after the fact! He also went above and beyond to pull heroics the day of to get some of our DIY spot lighting set up that wasn't set up the night prior. Rob was incredible to work with, and just as fun to chat with. Our guest were able to take prints home and leave a print in our guest book. It was so nice to be able to look at all the photos and messages that were left by our guests. Within a few days after our wedding Mike also provided us the links to all the photobooth photos. We were unsure about lighting but with Mikes guidance he knew exactly what we needed based on our music choices. We are so grateful for his expertise because it turned out absolutely amazing. Not to mention he came early to set up and ran the whole thing on his own without missing a beat. Truly a 10/10 experience for us. We highly recommend Mike! P.S Our only word of advice…This didn’t affect us in the moment but we did get a lot of feedback from our guests that since we did not have mics our guest could not hear our vows clearly during our ceremony. “Steve and his band were INCREDIBLE at our wedding. They were phenomenal at feeling out the energy, keeping the energy up when everyone was on the dance floor, and just playing bangers that our guests of all ages were able to sing to. Truly the classics but enough variety that it wasn’t always overly played songs. Our guests were chanting “one more song” at the end. Before the wedding Steve was so kind and responsive, working with us to make sure he knew the schedule precisely plus the vibe we were going for. We have been raving about them for weeks after the wedding. I hope we have some other opportunity to have them again, but I would highly recommend having Steve and co. make your event memorable. Saratoga Sound is the best of both worlds with their live acoustic music for cocktail hour, and DJ services for the reception, and our guests loved it! The music during the reception was at a good volume for dinner, and Karen even went up to my mom during dinner to check in which my mom really appreciated. They did an amazing job reading the dance floor and keeping the party going until the very end! They finished the night with Love Story which was one of my song requests, but I had not specifically requested it at the end – it ended up being the most perfect end to our wedding and a memory I will never forget. What we loved about Grand Central Station was, consistency ( same band members all the time), professionalism, cost, and references. “The New York Players were the thing our wedding guests talked about the most! Aside from being absolutely fantastic and putting on a great show, the pre-event communication and planning support really made NYP a great band to work with. We didn't really know going into booking what things needed to be considered when booking our event music, and Mike was so helpful for holding our hands through the planning process. Before the event, Mike helped us plan the logistics, met with us to discuss our goals, and gave us an extensive song list to select music from for the night, as well as adding some songs that we love that were not on the list. The attention to detail and level of care put into the band made feel so fun and special, and took a lot of the stress of wedding planning out of the music planning due to the top-notch professionalism.
