I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. “I’m so glad we chose to work with Sydnee. We had her do our engagements and were so excited to have her do our wedding, too. She works really well with children, which was huge since we had our own younger kids in the wedding and in a lot of our pictures. She’s also so good at making you feel confident. I’m super self-conscious, but I expressed this to Sydnee and she not only made me feel super comfortable, but also delivered photos that I love. I’m not super easy to please when it comes to pictures of myself. I love that her editing is natural and timeless. Nothing felt like an awkwardly-posed photo…it was all just so natural. And when portraits were done she captured everything else. I told her I didn’t mind her being “visible,” like she didn’t have to try to be sneaky about taking pictures, but I still didn’t notice she was there during our special moments. “Julie is great. I first met her when she did my high school senior pictures and was impressed by how they turned out. My then-fiance and I asked if she would come shoot our wedding near Cinci (quite a drive for her) and she happily agreed. She was super sweet throughout the entire process. She did a complementary engagement shoot a few months before the wedding and used the opportunity to get to know both of us. I've never known a photographer to put actual effort into knowing their clients, until I met her. She definitely makes her clients feel uniquely cared for. Our wedding pictures turned out wonderfully. They are very colorful and bright, but not in a way that feels heavily edited or artificial. The pictures feel true to how my wife and I remember that day. The prints and books we ordered through her also turned out great. Overall, we cannot recommend Julie enough. “Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“My husband and I got engaged in 2023 and had planned for our wedding to be in July of 2025. For two years one of our biggest challenges was finding a photographer that was in our budget, that would still provide us with the perfect product we had invisioned in our minds. We had searched high and low finding MANY photographers that will say they can adjust their packages to fit our budget, and still somehow come up with a total of 4000 dollars. Then we found Sam. I was hesitant at first because I wanted a specific style I hadn’t seen in her galleries, a more sultry- whimsical- cinematic/ dramatic candid feel. However when I brought that up to Sam she had reassured me that her range of editorial styles and shooting styles was very large as she’s been doing this for YEARS, and had sent me some separate more recent shots she had taken to prove that. We had talked very in detail for days about the hours ineeded from her, pricing, I also explained she would be traveling (which is never a problem for Sam. She loves traveling! ) and we had made a very well customized package trimmed to fit my hours and budget. In the end I received ALL the pictures taken edited exactly how we wanted them. On the wedding day Sam did an amazing job of helping, taking charge of things, and making sure all of our needs were met. I swear she was half wedding planner half photographer. If I needed people to do something she made it happen if I needed people to start getting ready for pictures-she was on it. Her time management is absolutely insane and such a blessing to have on your wedding day. She had some of the best ideas I’ve ever heard when it came to certain poses I wanted accomplished or specific visions I had. She was energetic, hilarious, and made sure everyone had the best time taking these pictures. I couldn’t recommend Sam enough. She truly is a photography wizard and will have all of your wedding day dreams come true.”

“Alexandra was amazing! Both my husband and I aren’t fans of getting pictures taken but she is just so personable and down to business that she made it extremely easy from the engagement pictures to the actual wedding. She was completely down to try out different things (like going to a waterfall and taking pictures in and behind it or the fact we had a short lightsaber battle on the dance floor) and captured them beautifully. My best friend also had her own engagement/wedding pictures taken by her as well and has decided to go to for any photography needs like family pictures, etc… Odds are, we follow her lead and continue as well because every picture we have received have been just awesome. She is very easy to talk to and quick to answer any questions that pop up. She made an outline of the big day that really helped us flesh out all the small details. We got our entire album of engagement pictures back after a couple of weeks and just a few days after our wedding, received a good amount of “sneak peaks” from our wedding day. Definitely excited for the rest.”

I absolutely love what I do. I’m so grateful my job is to capture people’s cherished memories. I took up photography in my high school yearbook class. I started in photojournalism and try to incorporate that in my work to this day. I love candid, genuine moments. I love all the gushy, warm fuzzy, love stuff.
