“My wife and I worked with Nelvir for only about 2-3 months prior to our wedding due to us having to go through the fiancé visa process. However, even with everything being so last minute and things changing all the time, he was very understanding and patient with us, which made it so easy to work with him. His laid-back personality was great to work with before the wedding. However, when the photo shoot starts and you see him doing his magic through his camera, you can tell how much passion he has for his work. I'm an amateur photographer myself but seeing him and the photographers (which they've never met before) working in sync made me realize that professional photographers/videographers are on a different level of professionalism once they start their shoot. Not only are they quick with their hands, the way they came up with creative angles was impressive. After the wedding, he kept the deadline he promised with the teaser and highlight video. We had a last-minute idea to add an extra instrument, and the Golden Bell team didn't blink. They jumped right in, helping us find the perfect addition without any issues. Plus, we had a separate violinist for our ceremony, and it was so impressive to see how effortlessly all the vendors collaborated. No drama, just smooth, professional teamwork, which really speaks volumes about Golden Bell's commitment to making your day seamless. Now, for the ultimate highlight: our after-party! We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had! There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. “We found Brandon through our wedding planner Christine Garrison of CMG Events. She suggested him because we were interested in having someone play acoustic guitar and singing during the wedding. After chatting with Brandon, we hired him to play the guitar for our ceremony, act as a wandering minstrel during the cocktail hour, and DJ the entire event. Our ceremony took place outdoors in an open lawn area. Brandon did a great job with setting up the sound. Everyone was able to hear both us and the officiant clearly. The acoustic rendition of Heartbeats (Jose Gonzalez) and Wildflowers (Tom Petty) he played for our processional and recessional were beautiful and really set the mood we were looking for. Brandon also did a great job DJing the event. He was able to take a small number of songs and expand the playlist to not only fit our tastes but keep the party hopping. We had expected that we would have minimal dancing and that our crowd would mostly just sit around chatting. However, Brandon was able to keep the energy up and the dance floor going throughout the night. It far exceeded our expectations and made the night really memorable. He was extremely professional throughout the planning process. We had several calls leading up to the wedding, and he made it easy to communicate what we were looking for in the event. We added songs to a few different playlists which he used as a jumping off point. He also provided suggestions for all the important moments (e.g., processionals, recessional, first dance, grand entrance). His contract and other documents were also clear and always sent promptly. On the day of Brandon arrived on time for set up and did a great job with all aspects (sound, DJing, acoustic performance, and lighting) of the event. He looked extremely professional and was communicative throughout the day, constantly checking in with the planner and us to make sure everything was going well. If he wasn’t sure about a song, he’d ask before playing it. Best of all, he was extremely reasonably priced. His assistant, Josh, was also very nice and did a great job.”

“Where to even begin! Investing in Katherine to do our wedding photos for our August 2021 wedding was the best decision we made, other than getting married! She had done a friends' wedding so I had started following her on instagram long before my husband and I got engaged. We were planning our wedding back west, and so we started looking at photographers back there but I just couldn't find anyone who measured up to Katherine. Listen--if you want "trendy" photos for instagram with lots of filters, orange skin tones, poses, etc--then Katherine isn't for you. But if you want photos that truly capture your day how it really was, then look no further. I spent years pouring over my parents' and grandparents' wedding albums wanting something that felt that classic and real. And real is exactly what Katherine does. She has this amazing ability to be everywhere and no where all at once. I have been in a lot of weddings, seen a lot of wedding albums, and I have never seen a photographer capture candids as well as she does--the photos feel like screenshots from a movie where we look happy and fabulous all of the time! She truly has a photojournalistic approach. She caught every teary hug, hand squeeze, and glance from across the room. And her ability to make every type of light work to her advantage (harsh mid-day, dark dance floor, etc) is truly incredible. And don't worry--she will also get all of those family photos that your parents want and do it in a painless, seamless way! While we were initially hesitant about the cost of hiring a photographer from NYC to shoot a wedding back west, her prices are MORE than fair for what you are getting! She even did a mini shoot with us the night before to get us comfortable in front of the camera and they are some of my favorite photos from the weekend. Also--she made everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable the day of. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her (I mean how could you not be? She shows up in a gucci suit with effortless cool girl energy and is like "let's do this!"), she managed wrangling our very large wedding party with ease and even got my grandma to smile in photos which is a big deal! We woke up the next day to about 15 sneak peak photos from the night before, and had our entire wedding album in 6 weeks! The hardest part is choosing which photos to print! There are just too many that we love. TLDR: Hire this girl, she is smart as a whip, reliable, talented, and a consummate professional!”

The staff at Chabot are incredibly kind and were quick to respond to our emails and questions. The space was incredibly expansive and unique for our guests. The planetarium ceremony was our favorite part, and we will treasure those memories forever. “One word: Perfect. As someone who suffers from severe anxiety, I can honestly say I have never felt more at-ease and confident than while working with the Wedgewood Weddings Redwood Canyon team -- they always had our backs, kept us on track, and made us feel taken care of. From the first venue visit, during the planning meetings, all the way until the rehearsal and wedding day, the professionalism, clear communication, planning resources, and organized approach made for a seamless experience. We worked with Allison as our Wedding Planner and Coordinator and I firmly believe that she is one of the main reasons our wedding went as incredibly as it did. Redwood Canyon, provides a planning binder as soon as you sign that includes monthly checklists ahead of the wedding to help keep you organized in between planning meetings. It is also filled with valuable information about the wedding planning process, examples, vendor questions, and general guidelines. It helped us structure the planning process without losing the ability to truly personalize our event. Every meeting we had with the planning team was concise, direct, and organized -- it helped us stay on track throughout the process and gave us the opportunity to discuss ideas and ask for advice (which they are also more than happy to give via email). Super responsive and accommodating -- we were so impressed with how easy the process was. We also partnered with their recommended Bakery, DJ, and Florist as part of our vendor team, and the coordination between venue and vendors was absolutely seamless...by the time the week of the wedding rolled around all the main aspects were locked in and we knew the event was in good hands. The wedding day itself was perfect. Allison served as our Day-Of-Coordinator, and together with Jacoby (co-coordinator), Liv (banquet captain), Liz (banquet captain), and rest of the team (cooks, servers, bartenders) we had the most incredible wedding. We arrived at the agreed-upon time on the day of the wedding, and from that moment onwards, the Redwood Canyon team took over to deliver the best experience. They were organized, calm, kept us well hydrated and fed, and kept everything on track for us all night. We were able to confidently hand off the reins -- we didn't have to think of anything all day other than having a good time and enjoying our day as much as possible, trusting that all the logistics were in good hands. Overall, the venue itself was gorgeous. We had our ceremony in the Arbor Lawn, our Reception in the Grand Ballroom (we initially chose the venue primarily because of the dance floor), and rented out the Rose Room for the Cocktail Hour. Everything was included and beautifully decorated with all our desired personal touches, the food and drinks were delicious, and the planning and coordination services must be some of the best in the business. I can't imagine a more incredible experience than what we had and am so thankful for the Redwood Canyon team's care and professionalism -- especially Allison, who we were fortunate enough to work with from first meeting through the day-of. Her makeup looks are beautiful and I chose to go with her signature soft glam with curled hair pinned back on one side. She did a fantastic job during the trial and the day of. After the trial, Jasmine was great at asking for my feedback and incorporating it into the final look for my wedding day. She's also mindful of tailoring her approach to your specific needs to help her work last longer. Make sure to tell her about your skin type and any specific concerns, like curls falling out of your hair easily, or oily eyelids for myself which might have affected the longevity of one eye's eyeshadow. Aside from that and a couple other minor touch ups needed throughout the day (grateful for her touch up kit!), the rest of my hair and makeup stayed all night long on my wedding day. I loved my look and thought it was even better than the trial! Even though she isn't a professional hairstylist, Jasmine really nailed it with my hair. It stayed flawless all day and night, despite the dress changes and jewelry adjustments throughout the day and I received multiple compliments on my hair! She's also easy going and nice to talk to - I really enjoyed the time spent chatting with her while getting ready in the morning. It was a great, peaceful way to start the busy day. Jasmine also helped do 2 of my bridesmaid's hair and did a beautiful job. One of them said that she has a really hard time getting curls to hold, but her hairstyle lasted all night long. I'm so grateful for Jasmine's help and would recommend her to any bride looking for a talented and personable HMUA!”
