Jonathan was absolutely amazing! He captured the most beautiful photos of my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah — every special moment, every emotion, perfectly. Beyond his incredible talent, he made everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. By the end of the event, he truly felt like part of the family. We’re so grateful for his kindness, professionalism, and the stunning memories he helped us preserve. I can’t recommend him enough!

*Please reach out to me via my direct website with any questions or if you want to set up a meeting!* Hey there! I'm a Maine wedding photographer specializing in candid, documentary-style photography that captures genuine moments, real emotions, and the story of your wedding day. My work is inclusive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, confident, and celebrated. I pride myself on capturing the real you, and the day exactly how you remember it, so you can look back on the best day of your life for years to come!

From our first conversation, Erin Gage was quick to respond and easy to work with on pricing. On our wedding day, she captured the real moments that mattered—like my husband carrying me when my feet hurt—without us even realizing she was there. Erin was patient when my family wanted group photo after group photo, and she made the whole process feel natural. The photos came back with vibrant, rich colors and so much detail that we still catch something new every time we look at them. She got our pictures to us fast, and almost a year later, we're still showing them off to anyone who will look. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

I have been photographing weddings professionally for 14 years and have reached the phase in my career where I can relax and have fun with my couples knowing that I have the skills and experience to back up my passion and creativity. I split my time between the Gulf Coast of Florida and New England, though I now call Maine home. I am both a dog & cat person - I have a Golden Retriever named Oliver, a lab mix named Juniper, a Maine Coon named Meadow, a Siamese mix named Healy, and a teeny little runt-of-the-litter kitty named Lucie. I am an avid audiobook listener - if I am editing, cleaning, or driving, I most likely have an audiobook going!

We had a wonderful time doing our engagement shoot with Tara! She was so easy to work with and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. We wanted to have our dog included in our photos as well and she worked so well with him and the photos turned out so great!! Thanks Tara :)

Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We all innately know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.

When we first started working with Corey, he assured us that his goal wasn't just to capture our day in photos but to really capture the "feel" of our day...and he couldn't have been more spot on. Looking through our photos brings us right back to every magical moment of our wedding day. The emotions, the movements, the colors, the love...every part of it is portrayed in Corey's pictures. If we ever need another photographer for anything at all, we will surely be contacting Corey. Thank you so much for everything you did for us!

I present fun, elegant, and exciting Wedding Photography for my clients. My style is photojournalistic; I feel it's the most effective way to tell a story. After all, there is so much happening on a wedding day. Between the ceremony, dancing, and endless extravaganzas, the most memorable moments will naturally occur.  My goal is to capture the emotions and memories of your day through my lens. These recollections are your forever keepsakes, a chapter of your life's story. Every image accounts for those who were by your side, delighted for you, and the next step in your journey. I appreciate you for giving me a few moments of your time.t

My husband and I were from out of town and hired Sean to photograph us at a Christmas gala at the place we got married. He was accommodating to last minute changes to make the most of the session and even went above and beyond to make it happen. Upon first impression, he was upbeat and had a vision. We were outside in sub 30 degree weather with fading evening light as well as low light inside a building and he was up for the challenge. We ended up with beautiful images in less than ideal conditions and that is what makes a great photographer. Sean has a sense of humor and an eye for that perfect photograph. He was fun to work with and his heart for people and creativity shows through. Thank you Sean for capturing this time in our lives.

I am SO excited that you stumbled upon my work! I shoot weddings all across Florida & New England! Capturing raw, true emotions as they happen is what I’m all about. I want to capture it all on your big day. From the moments of you putting your dress to the tears running down your face as you read your vows to each other. To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Being able to grab the moments for you to hold to forever, is such a rewarding humbling job for me.

Your wedding is not a performance. It's the way you look at each other when no one's watching. Your hand finding theirs without thinking. My couples care more about what’s real than what looks good on a grid. They want gorgeous photos but also want them to mean something. The couples I work with have depth. Their stories have weight. They want someone behind the lens who sees them. Not just how they look, but who they are. Presence over performance. That's the closest I can get to naming it.

Awarded Best of Zola
We can’t recommend Danielle enough! From the very beginning she went above and beyond, researching, planning, and creating an itinerary for us leading up to our elopement day. Every location she chose was absolutely breathtaking and far from the tourist crowds, which was exactly what we were hoping for. Danielle truly turned our vision into reality and captured the magic of our day in a way we’ll cherish forever. Thank you for everything!!!

If I could give Brayley more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!! From the very beginning, she was amazing. She was so communicative when I was first looking for a wedding photographer, and as the wedding got closer, she was always quick to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. She made the whole process feel so much less stressful. On our wedding day, she was everything we could have hoped for. She was friendly, organized, and so helpful, and she truly helped the day run smoothly. She made my husband, me, and our entire wedding party feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which made such a difference. She was also just so much fun to be around. She brought the best energy all day and was the sweetest hype woman and cheerleader, which I absolutely loved. She made us feel so confident and made taking pictures feel easy. When she sent us our sneak peeks, we were honestly blown away. My stepmom and I might be a little biased, but we both agreed they’re some of the most beautiful wedding photos we’ve ever seen. We are absolutely obsessed with them!! Brayley is so talented at what she does, and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer, and we’re so grateful she was part of our wedding day.

I'm Marc Sadowski, a New England wedding photographer with 20+ years of experience capturing weddings across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, and beyond. My approach is candid and documentary — I stay back, watch, and wait for the moments that happen when you forget the camera is there. I learned photography as a photojournalist, where you get one shot or you miss it forever. That instinct drives everything I do on your wedding day.

Hiring Marc was honestly one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Right off the bat, he was super organized and easy to communicate with. We had a multiple of calls/meetings before the big day to go over our schedule and what we wanted everything to look like, which gave us so much peace of mind. On the day of, he was amazing to work with. Neither of us wanted to feel stiff or forced into weird poses, and he completely respected that. He stuck to what made us feel comfortable, and it made the whole process feel natural and fun. Plus, he is ridiculously talented and brought such a great energy that made the entire day feel magical. We're so grateful for him!

Jenna Cavanaugh Photography
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves St. Albans, ME

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

My wife and I hired Jenna to take our engagement celebration photos and the photos for our wedding day. We had reviewed several local photography professionals and spoke with a few through video conferencing, in an effort to find the right match. Jenna was the clear match, from the moment we jumped on a zoom call! Her mission from the jump was to hear out our vision and work, within her own style, to meet the goals we established! She asked questions throughout our initial call to help us understand some of the answers to questions we hadn't even asked ourselves yet (this was invaluable)! And we jumped off the call with a level of confidence that made the decision very easy. During our engagement photos, Jenna was matching our excitement and did an amazing job positioning us/promting some helpful poses to help us get the beautiful shots we were looking for! And on the wedding day....... Jenna balanced a level of command, patience, understanding and high expectations that made the day flow so easily. We couldn't be happier with the results - I couldn't recommend her services more. P.S. we had a bridesmaid who had a dress malfunction after the ceremony and was holding us up from moving onto the reception's cocktail hour... Jenna saved the day with a sewing kit that she just happened to have on her person (still can't explain why she didn't charge extra for this save-the-day moment)!

Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve been photographing weddings for about ten years now (holy cow, do I feel old!), starting with photographing friends' weddings and quickly falling in love with the work. While I adore capturing gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom and the quiet (and sometimes chaotic!), beautiful moments during a wedding/elopement/engagement session, those ridiculous candid moments (like when a stranger offers you a fry on the boardwalk during your bridesmaid photos) truly make your day uniquely yours. I'd absolutely describe my style as a mixture of classic, artistic and photojournalism, but my heart lies in capturing candid moments.

Thank you so much for the amazing photos! Nick and I absolutely LOVE how they came out!! You are so creative and captured all of our favorite moments so perfectly!! Hi, I'm Stef. I photograph intimate weddings, NYC City Hall ceremonies, and micro celebrations where presence matters more than production. My approach is documentary at its core. I'm not directing every moment, I'm moving through your day quietly, watching for the ones that actually matter. I shoot both digital and 35mm film, not as an aesthetic choice but because film asks everyone to slow down a little. That slowness is kind of the whole point. Based in New York City and the Hudson Valley, available for travel.

From start to finish, Stef was such an absolute pleasure to work with! I can’t recommend her enough. Her communication with us was easy and kind from the get go, and she was very knowledgeable about her craft. Our photos are absolutely stunning! We have gotten so many compliments from family and friends. I even had one good friend say that if she ever gets married, she will ask me for Stef’s contact info :) Thank you Stef, for beautifully capturing the best day of our lives.

YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED. You're about to spend months planning, researching, and investing in a single day that you'll never forget. That's why preserving it is so important. Photography is a way to relive all those fleeting moments, including the ones you missed, over and over. It's important now, and it's foundational to building your legacy. Your wedding photos are not only for you, but for your grandparents and grandchildren. Your wedding day will be celebrated and remembered through the eye of your Wedding Photographer, so choosing someone who fits your vibe and brings out everyone's genuine personality is essential.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have found Chris to capture our special day. However, it goes beyond just that singular day. We had first met with Chris in person for a meet and greet, which I would have never thought to play such an integral role in the process. He demonstrated so much passion for the trade and was already so invested in making sure he was exactly the photographer we were looking for so we could truly get the most out of our day. He also took the time to visit the venue after our meeting to get an idea of what he'd be working with. Chris went above and beyond, every step of the way. He even made it a point to come during the rehearsal as well to be even further prepared. Everything flowed organically with his direction which took away so much stress from the day. Professionalism aside, Chris is just a good dude all around. We're so happy to come away from this experience with not only an amazing portfolio of memories, but a passionate and charismatic friend.

I’ve been making pictures since I was 12. My parents gave me an ancient 35mm Konica Autoreflex camera, told me to get after it, and the rest, as they say, is history. My role as a photographer is to capture the rare, vulnerable, epic, extraordinary, and wonderfully ordinary moments of life, as well as the beautiful details in between. I strive to make images that come from the heart and will tell your story for years to come. Also, I might cry at your wedding. It happens.

Awarded Best of Zola
I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Johanna Sorrell Photography. Jo was there every step of the way providing positive energy and helpful advice, from engagement photos, to planning the wedding timeline, to the big day itself. Jo has such a fun presence and made it very easy to be comfortable in front of a camera, especially for two people who are not used to getting their pictures taken. She knows exactly when to give direction and when to let a moment happen organically. And don’t even get me started on THE PHOTOS!!! She has a gift for capturing every emotion we felt on the day. Not to exaggerate but we loved, Every. Single. Photo. You cannot ask for a better photographer for your wedding day. Thank you Jo!

My work is inspired by romantic minimalism, modern elegance, and non-traditional perspectives. From stolen glances to joyous celebrations, I strive to capture what is at the heart of your relationship, weaving together a narrative that is uniquely yours. I blend a unique mix of documentary and editorial style photography in my craft: the documentary style to capture the events of your day in close detail, and the editorial style to provide copious amounts of posing guidance so you and your loved ones feel confident that you look like your absolute best in your photos.

Sravya did an amazing job with our wedding photos- we’re thrilled with them. Neither my husband or I would describe ourselves as photogenic, but Sravya found a way! She was creative and thoughtful with our family photos, portraits, and was able to capture so many aspects of the night. She was so easy to communicate with before the date and did a great job listening to how we wanted our wedding day captured. Can’t say enough great things- I highly recommend Sravya to anyone!!

Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

I’m a New Hampshire wedding photographer, who specializes in candid, natural wedding photography, serving all of New England for over fifteen years. Almost all of my couples come to me saying that they feel weird in front of the camera and worried about how their photos will turn out. But of course they want those gorgeous, Pinterest-worthy shots! My laid-back attitude will help put you at ease, helping your true personalities shine through (with simple and fun guidance for the posed photos). And my quiet and calm nature makes it easy for me to blend into the background, to get tons of candid photos that you will make you laugh and cry.

I'm Alyssa, a Boston based wedding photographer who shoots all over Maine, Rhode Island, The Hudson Valley and New York City. I feel so lucky to photograph weddings. It’s an honor to be invited into the quiet, behind-the-scenes moments that make the day so personal—those shared just with family and the closest friends. I don’t take that role lightly and feel privileged to document those intimate pieces of the story.

Alyssa was an amazing photographer to work with. From the start she was great to bounce ideas off of and we trusted her completely with our vision. She has a really great energy that put us and our entire wedding party at ease, and made our portrait and family shoots so comfortable. The photos of our ceremony and reception turned out beautifully! If you want a slightly more unique vibe for your photos, with visual interest, movement, and drama, then Alyssa is the photographer for you.
