Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

I cannot say enough about how AMAZING The Boylston Rooms was for my wedding!!! If you are looking for the perfect New England wedding in an old industrial building then THIS is the place for you. The best part is it’s a dedicated wedding venue. It is their entire job to throw the best weddings ever. They have a room FULL of decorations to choose from. They provide tableware, different colored table cloths and napkins, faux greenery and candles, drapery, arbors, card boxes, picture frames, etc. There are dedicated bridal and grooms suites with a lock code to keep your items safe. Fun settings around the building for photo sessions. Two beautiful rooms for the ceremony and reception. A beautiful patio for cocktail hour as long as weather permits. A dedicated catering kitchen attached to the reception room who will cater to all dietary needs!! I have celiac disease and they provided an entire gluten free buffet for my guests and EVERYTHING was delicious. Not to mention the staff!! Erin and Myles are the BEST!!! Seriously love them so much and could not rave enough about how fabulous they are and made sure my husband and I had the best day ever. You will not be disappointed if you get married here!

Gloriosa & Co.at the Curtis House

5.0

Ashfield, MA
  • Up to 140 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $18,600

We plan, arrange, and cater events—weddings, bat and bar mitzvahs, showers, reunions, small gatherings, memorial services or anything you can think of, indoors or outdoors. We host events here at the Curtis House, our 1850s Dutch Colonial. The summer home of George William Curtis, then the editor of Harpers Weekly. It’s a charming, sprawling old house that abuts the town green. During warmer months events take place in our gardens and the fully restored late 19th century barn. Whatever you imagine for your event, we're here to help you realize your dreams. We'll help you every step of the way, from planning and budgeting to coordinating the day. We open our home to you and take away all the stress of planning your dream day. We want to make your day about who you are.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Unique barn setting
  • Exudes old-world charm
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
I cannot speak highly enough about our experience hosting our wedding at The Curtis House by Gloriosa & Co. My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago (September 2024) and our wedding was truly one the happiest, best days of our lives thanks to the love and personalization that Gloria and Emma put into planning and executing our day. We were drawn to so many things about the venue, including the charming setting of Ashfield, the rustic but modernized aesthetic of the barn, the beautiful gardens and greenhouse, and the house being an available space to get ready. We were also drawn to the convenience and uniqueness of being able to provide our floral arrangements from Gloria’s greenhouse and gardens on-site, and having all of the food and beverages taken care of through the venue’s catering and bar team. But what made us decide to book this venue for our special day was the attention that Gloria and Emma give each couple. This venue is not your typical wedding factory that puts on weddings multiple times a week, every week of the year; Gloria and Emma host between 12-15 weddings per year and consequently each couple they work with gets full access to the venue the weekend of their wedding and so much guidance during the planning process. We were able to cultivate a vegetarian menu consisting of so many of our favorite foods plus a number of signature dishes of the venue, such as a butternut squash galette that was a crowd favorite. Sustainability is also incredibly important to us as a couple, and Gloria and Emma are committed to sourcing only local, seasonal ingredients for the food and florals and minimizing waste, which meant so much to us. In terms of decor and furnishings, the venue has so much available for couples to use, such as tables, chairs, ceremony benches, several wedding arches to choose from, displays for food or guest favors, tableware, candles, string lights, and more. We did not have to rent or coordinate anything other than the few DIY projects we made, which Gloria and Emma effortlessly integrated into the set up for us. Being able to take care of practically everything through Gloria and Emma made planning so much simpler. On the wedding day, Gloria, Emma, and their team handled the venue set up in a few hours, which happened like a choreographed dance that required practically no work from us or our wedding parties other than providing input and approval along the way. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were able to be fully present. After our ceremony, my husband and I returned to the house, where Gloria had set up champagne and a spread of our hors d'oeuvres for us to enjoy over a few minutes of privacy, which is something she had recommended we do as we took in the moment together. Our guests have had nothing but positive things to say about our wedding and it was clear the day of how much fun everyone had. We have received so many compliments about how beautiful and authentic the venue was, how exquisite Gloria’s floral arrangements were, how delicious all of the food was (even the heavy meat-eaters loved the vegetarian menu), and how this will be a wedding they will always remember. Gloria made us feel like part of her family and we were so happy to be able to support her business. We truly could not have asked for a more memorable, personalized, loving, and beautiful wedding, and hope that many other couples have the pleasure of getting married at this special place.

I highly recommend the Berkshires Black Abbey as a venue for your next special event. I recently attended a relative’s wedding there, and it was truly unforgettable. This beautifully restored church blends historic charm with modern elegance. The moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere took my breath away. The space is both expansive and intimate, with exceptional acoustics that enhanced every word and note. A grand piano added a lovely touch, filling the space with soft, elegant music. The original stained glass windows, preserved during the renovation, bathe the room in beautiful natural light, creating a magical ambiance. Outdoor amenities are equally thoughtful. There’s ample parking, and the large paved area outside easily accommodated food trucks and other vendors brought in by the couple. Nestled in the scenic Berkshires, the Abbey offers guests not only a stunning venue but also access to the area's natural beauty and local attractions. We were married 11/16/2024 here and we could not be happier with our choice of venue. Nancy and Donna were fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had right away. On the day of the wedding Donna was extremely helpful. We truly felt that the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good day; they checked in on my husband and I during pictures multiple times to ensure we were able to enjoy the appetizers we had selected. We got so many compliments about the food and the aesthetic of the venue. If you are concerned about food allergies, rest assured that you are in good hands with this kitchen. Anything we needed they covered right away. Our easel was missing a screw and they were kind enough to let us borrow one! We truly felt very taken care of. They were extremely patient and understanding with any decisions we had trouble making or any time we were disorganized. The wedding coordinator that they recommended to us was AWESOME to work with as well. I loved the bridal suite. We had so much space and the decor was beautiful. It reminded me of my grandmother’s house which made me feel even more comfortable. I highly recommend getting the apple cider mimosas and snacks they offer while you’re getting ready there! Absolutely kept everyone happy in the morning. Our photos and portraits that were taken both inside and outside are simply gorgeous; I can’t say enough about how good they came out. The way the lighting comes in is a photographer’s dream. The entire layout of the venue makes for excellent photos. This venue is also very affordable compared to every other space we looked at. It felt like it was made for us to get married in and we cannot wait to return there for dinner on our anniversaries. Thank you so much to the Salem cross inn for being a part of the happiest day of our lives!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to celebrate our daughter's wedding than the Harding Allen Estate. Though the ceremony was held elsewhere, the Estate hosted the reception, and it was everything our daughter dreamed of — and more. From the start, Jasmine and Suzy made us feel completely at home. Their warm, family-run approach set the tone for a joyful, stress-free day. They worked seamlessly with the caterer we brought in, ensuring every detail was handled with care and professionalism. It was clear they were committed to making the day perfect, no matter what. The setup at the Estate is outstanding, with beautiful spaces for the bridal party to relax and prepare. Our daughter and her bridesmaids loved getting ready at the Rose Cottage, while the rest of the venue was meticulously prepared for the reception. The staff even took special care of the personal decorations we provided, setting everything up exactly as envisioned and carefully packing it all afterward — such attention to detail truly stood out. The venue’s flexibility and support extended to accommodating some family food allergies, and they coordinated effortlessly with our caterer to make sure everything was just right. Every staff member was kind, respectful, and made the day feel personal and special. Jasmine was incredibly responsive, especially in the final weeks leading up to the event, helping us feel fully supported. Her dedication made a real difference, allowing us to focus on enjoying the celebration with family and friends. Choosing Harding Allen Estate for the reception was one of the best decisions we made. Between the stunning venue, the wonderful staff, and the extra touches like the Rose Cottage, morning breakfast (for those of us staying at the estate), and beautiful gardens, it was truly an unforgettable evening for everyone. • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

The Ruins at Sassafras Museum is the home of the former Shaker Second Family on Mount Lebanon. (See our reviews on Google.) We call ourselves a boutique museum because unlike other Shaker Museums that replicate the past, we have interpreted the past and creatively restored each location on the property. You can have your ceremony in the ruins of an English garden, the stone foundation of a barn alongside a meandering creek, or under a willow tree overlooking our pond. Enjoy cocktails on the terrace of our Moroccan Bar or Stone House as the sunsets over the Taconic Mountains. Choose from eight unique sites to customize your wedding day. We can host 18 guests in our luxury accommodations and only 15 minutes away are many hotels and inns.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • No free parking
  • No venue-provided food services
The Ruins at Sassafras is not just a breathtakingly beautiful wedding venue, it is an experience shaped by a truly extraordinary team. My husband and I celebrated our entire wedding weekend here, including our Welcome Party at The Ruins, Ceremony at Deere Pond, Cocktail Hour on the Moroccan Terrace and Bar, Reception in the Chair Factory, and Afterparty back on the Moroccan Terrace. Our immediate family also stayed on site at the Stonehouse and Caretakers Cottage, which made the weekend feel intimate, immersive, and unforgettable. Carol and her team pour their heart and soul into every celebration. From the moment we began planning, it was clear how deeply invested they are in making your day perfect. The stunning landscaping, thoughtful flow of each space, and impeccable guest experience reflected their vision and attention to detail at every turn. Dee, the bar manager, ran an exceptional operation: no lines, seamless service, and truly delicious specialty cocktails that guests are still talking about. Overflowing with history and curated with such intention, The Ruins is unlike any place we’ve ever encountered. With sweeping views of the Berkshires and a setting that feels both magical and deeply personal, we feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated such a meaningful weekend here. We cannot recommend The Ruins at Sassafras highly enough.

If you’re looking for a low-stress wedding venue that offers incredible value, look no further. We held our wedding at The Mansion at Bald Hill on September 28, 2025, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We started touring venues in mid March, hoping to find a place that could host a small-ish wedding with an outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, and full food and drink service without sky high prices or hidden fees. I even built a spreadsheet comparing every option within a 50-mile radius, and The Mansion at Bald Hill definitely stood out. Many venues had undisclosed minimums, surprise costs, or odd restrictions, but the Mansion had none of that. The Mansion was transparent, elegant, and far more accommodating than we expected. We toured three venues total, saving the Mansion for last—honestly thinking it might be out of our price range or require too many guests. But as soon as we drove up the winding road and saw the gorgeous grounds, we started crossing our fingers. After our tour with Janet, the events director, and her clear breakdown of the options and pricing, we got in the car, looked at each other, and said, “Yep, this is the it!” No discussion needed. In the months leading up to the wedding, Janet was absolute wonderful to work with—responsive, organized, and genuinely kind. She answered every question promptly, accommodated all of our requests, and went above and beyond to make our day seamless. On the wedding day itself, she and the entire staff exceeded every expectation. The food was phenomenal, the bar and banquet teams were attentive and friendly, and every detail—from setup to timing—was handled perfectly. Choosing The Mansion at Bald Hill was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue that’s stunning, stress free, and run by people who truly care about making your day special.

Saint Clements Castle provided a beautiful venue and kind staff for our wedding day. We especially appreciated our sales coordinator, Alyssa, who was professional, fast, and clear in her communication throughout the planning process. When rain forced us to move the ceremony indoors, the team quickly adapted the art gallery for us. The servers and bridal attendants were also attentive and went above and beyond to help finish set up when our florist left early. Our guests had incredibly kind things to say about the servers, and overall we had a great experience. It was also lovely to have a place that was a one stop shop for event planning! We did lose some decor in the shuffle which was an inconvenience, and some of the instructions for set up I left were not followed (our confetti got lost, only four guests got packets, the bridal suites did not have the supplies we left for them). My husband’s family were also really upset with one of the managers on property who wouldn’t allow them to walk in a covered area and was a bit rude about it, despite an event not happening and the rain being a torrential downpour causing unsafe conditions for his elderly family to walk in. Overall we had a great experience, and would recommend the castle to anyone planning a wedding!

Harrington Farm was the first venue my husband and I toured. From that moment on, we found ourselves comparing every other venue that we toured to Harrington Farm- spoiler alert, none of them came even close to checking all of the same boxes. Harrington Farm’s all-inclusive package is a no-brainer: ceremony & reception venue with a massive dinner menu, individualized day-of planning, cake (with 2 bakers to choose from), coffee bar, AND a 5-hour open bar?! Count us in! The team at Harrington Farm was nothing short of incredible. From day one, Lauryn took care of making sure that all of our planning went smoothly, answered all of our (many) questions, and constantly secured our trust in Harrington Farm with handling our big day. On the actual day, Jess was the best bridal attendant I ever could have asked for. She made sure each and every one of our needs were met all night long. In addition to all of the other perks, the food at Harrington Farm is beyond amazing (you can’t say that about most venues). We especially loved the option to add the smoker to our menu items! We have received (and continue to receive) numerous compliments on our choice in wedding venue and we have to agree. If you want your big day to be 100% magical, you absolutely must choose Harrington Farm.

Weeks later, we're still absolutely gushing over the Mansion! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We had the pleasure of working with Alexandra(Alex) we could not have asked for a better person! Alex knew all of our family members and bridal party’s names, and was extremely personable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all night. She brought me a snack before the ceremony and continuously brought me my water all day and night (without me asking)They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout your entire day and their top notch team(along with our caterer David Alan) ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. In the early stages of planning we worked with Jessica Hess and she is extremely helpful and communicative. The mansion truly felt like home for the day. We hosted our ceremony on the vista , cocktail hour was on the terrace, and we had dinner in the East ballroom. Being an art gallery, the room had a lot of character and felt very special. We hired a magician to entertain the kids and the space lends itself really well to that kind of entertainment. I would absolutely recommend other parents look into the space for a kid’s party!

Janice made us feel so special and throughout the day advocated for me. When the rain stopped and i wanted pictures outside, Ted went and got a leaf blower to blow away the rain so that my dress didn’t get wet. I do not say this lightly that they will forever be like family to me. They made the best day of our lives extra special. Our guests are still saying to us they can’t stop thinking about our wedding, that it was magical and the best wedding they’ve ever have ever gone to and I owe that all to Lord Thompson Manor. Where to even begin! The farm road estate team was phenomenal!! Leading up to the wedding Taylor addressed our every question and was extremely detail oriented. She helped share best practices from other weddings on site but was always supportive when we had our own unique vision. Everyone who worked at Farm Road was friendly and helpful to our guests. They were also ready to shift as unexpected things popped up (like a sudden downpour) and this helped us to relax and fully enjoy the weekend. Our guests LOVED Farm Road Estate too. They raved about the beautiful and cozy rooms, the wood beams and architecture through the Great Room, the delicious food at every meal, and the lovely grounds. We were really happy to have picked a venue where our guests could stay onsite so people had more quality time together. We would definitely recommend Farm Road to any couple looking for a special wedding weekend in Vermont!
