The Hive is a beautiful event center located in Staley, NC. We are situated on 200 acres of rolling farm land in Randolph county NC. Our facility began life as the clubhouse for Ferguson Farms Golf Course. When the golf course closed in 2012, it sat abandoned until our family came across the land. We came across this gem while we were searching for a larger property to expand our farm. It had been neglected for so many years, but we immediately saw great potential in its natural beauty, barns, and clubhouse. The streams, ponds, and woodlands teamed with wildlife and we just knew this farm had to been revived into something new, a place where joy, laughter and unity would be experienced.

Hi this place is great! It has some of the most beautiful views in Randolph COunty - there are real live animals there... concrete walking paths - indoor and outdoor options - climate controlled facility - Wedding barn the bathrooms have some sort of custom made epoxy coated solid oak counter tops - there is real farm equipment but they will move it out of site if needed sunset off of a roll up garage door - very unique and much less expensive than others

Where do I start? As a wedding planner, this is one of my favorite venues. From the ceremony site that overlooks the pound to the breath take arch you have for photos. I love this place. Your guest will feel like they're out in the middle of fields!!! Now let's talk table all the space inside the venue. They have such a great space. You can have a fully seated dinner and room for a great dance floor ao your guest can dance. night away! I hope to see you soon at the venue for your wedding!

The Pavilion at Nick's Road made our wedding venue dreams come true. We were initially attracted to the venue because we had many out of town friends in our wedding party, so the fact that they could stay on site made the entire weekend an experience instead of just one quick day. Catherine was such a pleasure to work with and I felt very supported by her at every turn. The venue and land itself is absolutely gorgeous, quiet, and peaceful. We were able to have the fire going at night after all of the wedding shenanigans so that our guests could relax instead of being "kicked out by 10" like other venues. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. If we made one right choice throughout the whole wedding planning process, it was to choose this venue. Thank you for a perfect weekend!

Ardenwood Farm was the perfect venue for my summer bridal shower and I could not have been happier with my experience! The owner, Julia, is kind, communicative, and overall wonderful to work with. We rented the small venue behind the covered riding ring and it more than comfortably fit 25 guests at a competitive price for the Chapel Hill area. The chairs and tables were set up to our specifications and we had full access to their decor closet, including a bar cart, vases, and vintage pieces. We were able to bring our own food and had access to an ice maker and fridge — and most importantly for July, full control of the thermostat! Easy parking for unloading/loading party supplies and for guests. My guests also loved seeing the horses around the property! Highly recommend choosing Ardenwood Farm for your bridal shower, bridesmaid luncheon, or other wedding event!

When you think of everything your wedding could be thus venue exceeds that. When we entered this venue me and my husband knew it was "the one". The space, the owner, what's included for the pricepoint....well it was everything and more. Once our wedding day came it was seamless. We had a little rain in the morning, but that staff wiped everything down and we were able to have out ceremony on the overlook. Jamie (the owner) kept us on schedule and worked behind the scenes with her staff and my vendors to make sure everything was a dream come true. I cant recommend this venue enough and I wouldn't change a thing.

Working with Tony and Beth at Old Lystra Inn was an absolute dream from start to finish. After spending countless hours searching for the perfect venue, my husband and I knew immediately that this was the one the moment we pulled up the driveway. Tony greeted us with a late-evening tour that felt incredibly personal, not at all rushed—and it set the tone for everything that followed. The property itself is breathtaking. The grounds are impeccably maintained and filled with charm, and so much is included in the rental package—tent, dance floor, chairs, tables, and more—which made planning far less stressful. It was a huge relief not having to coordinate all those big logistics separately. Beth and Tony were a constant source of support leading up to the big day. Whether it was a quick stop by to walk the grounds, a late-night email, or one of our many questions (and there were a lot!), they always made time for us. We never felt like “just another couple” in a long wedding season. Instead, they made us feel like our day truly mattered—like we were getting married in a place that had heart and soul, not just beautiful scenery. On the day itself, Tony was everywhere—behind the scenes making things happen and helping everything flow effortlessly. We can’t overstate how much that meant to us. Thanks to his quiet dedication, we were able to be fully present and just enjoy the day. We are endlessly grateful to have had our wedding at Old Lystra Inn. It was the best day of our lives, and Tony and Beth played such a meaningful role in making that possible. I have nothing bad to say about this venue. All communication we had with them was efficient, professional, and helpful. They were ready to help with everything we needed and met all that we were looking for. Everyone invited was in love with the cottage and the venue space. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

We had our wedding at Sugarneck in May. The venue alone is stunning, incredibly well taken care of and immaculately clean. Add to that the dedication of Alicia and her team to plan and execute the most magical, flawless day - I wish I could give 10 stars! We chose Sugarneck because of its location and extremely reasonably priced packages. It truly took the stress out of the day as Alicia was always on top of any questions/concerns I had and brought my ideas to life in all areas. Despite a downpour after the ceremony, the day was flawless and the team worked so hard, always while providing top notch service to all our guests. The only thing I wish I had known ahead of time was the difficultly in guests getting Ubers after the event, while there was a shuttle bus that showed up that transported people, had I known, I would have either paid for it or given people a heads up as it was a little pricey. We spent the whole weekend there including hosting the rehearsal dinner which in itself was a fabulous time. We really felt like part of the family there and not just ‘renting the property’. We would not have asked for a more perfect venue and team to help us with our special day.
